The CIC is in chaos.
Two gunshots, both aimed at Commander Adama. The first one, aimed at his head, missed and hit an unfortunate crewmember who rushed to Adama to relay a message.
The second, fired in haste as the Cylon ran out of the room, hit Adama in the chest.
In the chaos, one saw the Cylon.
As the intense search continues, the battlestar is full of tension and suspicion. Order is rapidly breaking down as civilians glared at every and each person around them with frantic suspicion and the military scrambling as the command structure seems to break down.
In the middle of this, Athena was fighting her own psyche.
Athena Agathon
She is a Cylon. She knows this. She also knows that the Cylons could trigger her at any time. She could walk into the CIC, the trusting crewmembers paying her no mind, believing her to be one of them. She could have fired two shots, and disappeared before reverting to her "human" self.
And not know it.
As she collapsed in the middle of the corridor crying, people ran around her paying her no mind.
Except for two men.
"You did this. You shot Cmdr. Adama. You will die for this!"
"NO!"
As Helo and the soldier stood facing each other with Athena kneeling in the middle, the soldier lowers his gun from Helo's chest to Athena's head.
"You don't know that! She's been helping us! She's proven her loyalty!"
"How the frack do you know?! She's been playing us! Fracking playing us right into their fracking hands! She dies!"
*gunshot*
Athena slowly opens her eyes. She is still alive. The man who stood before her, however, is not.
Soldiers swarmed the corridor, shouting orders and forcing Helo to his knees.
Karl "Helo" Agathon
"What the frack is going on here?!"
Athena silently closed her eyes and dissociated her mind temporarily from reality. The only thing that registered was a specialist quietly saying "human."
Helo (twietee) has insta-killed Tomorrow, who is human. It is still day, and votes has been reset.
