[WW] Battlestar Galactica - GAME OVER - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

What a bear it is to catch up on an entire day's events!

I'm always inclined to go with the percentages when we've been able to eliminate a few from suspicion, which would point me in the direction of voting for Pluto.

But then I'm always in doubt when someone who has so much suspicion cast against them completely disappears. I feel like if someone is a bad guy they have to pay extra attention to the thread just in case a bandwagon starts up. Of course, sometimes real life gets in the way but I just feel like they would be around defending themselves. Though, I've been wrong about that in the past.

And Rick, who is under a cloud of suspicion as well throws out a random vote for jav when he could just join the bandwagon for Pluto, which would be the smartest thing to do for self defense in case the bandwagon turns toward him.

I'd hate to lock on Pluto before he comes out with any kind of defense, though. I'm torn.
 
#12 will show human no? There is no info in the rules. That's what Im basing my vote on. If #12 shows as Cylon, I'll adjust.

GG clarification if #12 is scanned by Athena? Shows Cylon or Human? Or Baltar is the only one that shows as Human (with other side tendencies if he defected)


This or we all go for Sythas and get Baltar out of the running, hence eliminating a potential threat. After all, Baltar can take over.

I do believe in Don't Panic's Athena statement, and Twietee kind of killed someone erroneously, so that saves them. Me, well, I'm innocent, so don't count on me.

Six, #12 and Cavil are all Cylons. Athena is a good Cylon. Baltar is a bad human.

Jav's posting is always bizarre and it always looks suspicious. It's why he's been wrongly lynched so often.

I almost find his vote for chrmjenkins as so out there that it makes him look less suspicious. If that makes sense.
 
Everyone has gotten a word in now and I don't suspect we'll get more than a word out of rick snagwell so there we are. It's him or Pluto for me.

Sorry, I currently don't have a lot of uninterrupted time to post while at work though I have no problem sneaking peaks at the postings :D.

You are right about being ninja'd. Between 5-6 pm tonight, everyone at work took off for the weekend and I found some uninterrupted time :) to read and post. In the time I took to write up the post, everyone else posted along with "Don't Panic"s confession. Friday night is gaming night for me so I left after my postings and I got home after 1am.

As far as the game, I'm not a cylon. That shouldn't mean much given everyone is saying that.

- Voting: Look through all my past games and you will see I used (and talked about) the same strategy (I called it directed vs shotgun). The shotgun strategy is when people randomly change their votes turn to turn. People who are strongly suspected one turn don't even get any votes the next turn. You can luck out and get a WW with the shotgun strategy but it gives you almost no trending data. Directed strategy is when 2 people get the majority of the votes. The next turn, the surviving majority member is pitted against another player. This continues until a WW is found and then the others WW can be easily picked out. In this game, I voted for Koodauw in turn 1 to get a tie between Sythas and Koodauw and they both became the majority vote getters (until "Don't Panic" screwed things up by voting for WoodNUFC and created a third tie :) ). In turn 2, I wanted either Sythas or Koodauw as one of the majority vote getters (carry over from turn 1). I initially voted for Sythas but switched to Koodauw when nobody else would vote for Sythas. I thought Koodauw was acting stranger then Twietee so Koodauw got picked.

- nightly kills. As I posted earlier, I think we should look at the nightly kills. There is absolutely a 0% chance I would have let Comeagain be targeted on turn 1 and I would not have let SS be targeted on turn 3 if "Don't Panic" was alive. My kill orders would have ben "Don't Panic" and then chrmjenkins once "Don't Panic" was dead.

Voting for Jav gives us the most info (directed strategy) but I don't want to give him two votes until I hear everyone else's opinion. Until then, I'm voting for QoS. QoS is great at expressing righteous indignation in her post but since she does it guilty or not, it's tough to tell.
 
Voting for me will yield no information. That I promise you.

At this point, I'll go ahead and give rick my vote since his post is straight up against me. No reasoning of any kind. So in kind I pay him back, but my reasoning is his quietness. Yes he has been on a honeymoon, but one of Rick's strategies when he is the bad guy is to become eerily quiet.

Remember, he is always all over the place never the silent type.

actually jav, this is the most quiet ive EVER been...partly due to being so confused by this game, and just getting home from hawaii!

i will retract my vote for JAV.

and vote for jenkins. he and DP look VERY guilty from here.

The fact that everybody posted at least twice since DPs outing and my insta-kill with no claim of being the 'real' Baltar or Athena is proof enough for me.

I am dropping my vote for Sythas based on Don't Panic's logic. I am now voting for rick snagwell simply because we have to choose somebody from that list and he seems like the person who is participating the least. I understand he's been in Hawaii but still... you know who else has been to Hawaii? Tricia Helfer, who played Six.... cause she's a model, and I imagine she's probably done some shoots there... Okay that last part is crap, but....

I feel like I'm going to be firm on rick unless new evidence comes to light. Tomorrow I'm voting for Sythas unless we nab Six today.

The only vote that is presently made that I think is bad is the vote for Queen of Spades. She might be a Cylon but Baltar already confirmed that she is not Six. We're trying to nab Six this lynching. Unless Baltar feels he's going to be turned so lied on his list...

Out of the uncleared list, his posts have been the least wild and doubting of DP's identity. Makes other people desirable as a first target. Doesn't mean he's free and clear.

Sure, just wanted to bring him back on the radar. He is constantly contributing constructively since the very beginning.

After reading the thread: Jav and ricksnagwell smell the most after machine-oil imho. Jav didn't commit himself in neither the Sythas/woodNUFC, twietee/Koodauw nor even the Jav6454/Koodawu shoot-outs in the first two days. Him (then) not being connected would make some sense. Now being suddenly quite vocal, first questioning DP, than chrmjenkins to finally switch to Rick - each without ever offering a plausible accusation - doesn't really convince me. Indeed strikes me as calculated. Would even work in his favor when rick gets lynched a Cylon.

Plutonius still questionable, but his posts made some sense at least, although they were put quite general. Doesn't strike me as our prime target right now. As does the Queen (plus we should maximize our odds to take out six).

Addendum: we may be lucky having Starbuck still around: So chances are we get even a no-kill this night, but most likely DP can have another scan anyway (unless we lynch #12). I could imagine that Starbuck outs himself the next day, telling us who he's going to protect of the uncleared + Athena scanning someone different. If athena and Starbuck die during that night, we have confirmation about player x being a cylon. Now you do the math if this makes sense or not numbers-wise..:D

I find it fascinating that even after those 2 know they are both on the hot seat, they still have casted throwaway votes.

Rick, Jav, Pluto are my top candidates. Then the Queen, last would be Panda. I wouldn't go after Jav this round though.

no-vote, just to avoid a quick lock, waiting first on DP opinion.

Btw, why did Tomorrow only scan once??

It's not a throw away vote. QoS hasn't given any evidence in her defense other then I'm not a cylon because I say so :). Her voting hasn't been as suspect as Jav's voting though and killing Jav will give us the most information (it will connect the votes from the first days). I had already stated that I wasn't initially voting for Jav because that would give him two votes (might be perceived as a bandwagon vote) and that I was waiting for others to respond to my post.

It is a throwaway vote. The objective today is to kill SIX period. Unless Baltar (Sythas) is lying, QoS is at least not Six. So why target her? If we kill Six, we keep Baltar. QoS is the worst possible vote you can make out of the bottom list. Again, providing Baltar isn't lying due to feeling he'll be turned. Unless you know something we don't?

I posted about specials missing the deadline in regards to no kill on night two and ravenvii said that the deadline would be extended.

Ok, I understand now why Moyank said it was a throw away vote for this turn. I'm switching to Jav for reasons previously stated.

As far as I know, the only thing that *must* happen is the cylons must target somebody.

For instance Tomorrow only did 1 scan.

Each night the specials will submit their requests even if they choose to do nothing it must be submitted, except for the Cylons who MUST kill each night.

This makes it sound like Tomorrow would have to have submitted a "I don't want to scan anybody" request, but I doubt he did that. Do you know which post ravenvii stated that?
