Given that there are only seven votes left to be cast (six if SilentPanada isn't voting) and they would all have to be cast for chrmjenkins, I'd be willing to change my current random vote once a consensus develops between two players.

I think at this point chrmjenkins will be one of those players. At this early point I'm not willing to vote chrmjenkins out yet on random chance. If another player stands out and racks up a sizable tally, I'll change my vote to that player. Until then I'll stick with my random vote.

Put simply, I don't buy that iBookG4User's vote for me is all that random. He clicked the button until he got my number to make it appear random and impartial when in fact he feels threatened by me from last game and is in fact himself a bad guy.

That, and my wife won't let me vote for myself :(

this is going to be a long first day at this rate with such a wide range of people. Honestly I like the first day better before everyone went with random.org. They at least gave some half backed reason for their vote.
Like one round because of a guys icon. Another round because they voted first. We just choose a random reason but at least it is more fun than saying random.org told me to.

I never knew that you two were married. Did you meet here?

Thats like the fourth time in the past two months someone has posted that question. Kind of funny imo. I think -aggie- asked, and I asked and one other person asked, and all in the previous werewolf games. I think they should put something in their sig so everybody knows that they are married:p

LOL, it has been asked a lot! Maybe we can come up with something silly and snarky to put in our sigs. :p

@appleguy123, no, we met and started dating in high school.

Yeah, so all the guys stop hitting on Abbie. :)

Ooh, I like the idea of a ghost/guardian angel for the first dead. Then it's not all sour grapes.

I love this idea!

The first vote is always a crapshoot. I'll go with SilentPanda because doing this randomly will never get anything moving. I really don't want another 5-6 day [near] stalemate like we just had in the simple game. Plus I think a Panda ghost/zombie would be mighty cute!

I intend to speak in Ye Olde English (and be a pompous aristocrat) for this game! :D

Goodmorrow (or evening, for some of the villagers across the pacific in fair olde America) fair citizens!

How art thou?

One has had a marvellous day, seeing the end of (most) assessment for one's most preferred subject, English (Modern), concluding with a exam essay on the novella 'Animal Farm'. While some of the peasantry in one's class did not find the book as interesting and engaging as one did, I particularly enjoyed Sir Orwell's marvellous use of language, with irony, symbols, motifs and parables aplenty!

However, one digresses! One shall now commence to the subject of discussion: the lynching of the dreaded and much detested werewolves and vampires! One does not like the view of Silent Panda to leave the harder decisions that must be made to others, and take no personal responsibility and give us, the citizenry, advice or information. This deferring and curbing of responsibility is, in one's opinion, exactly what this village doesn't need, rather leadership and control. If the Sir Silent Panda wishes to cast a no-vote and feel that others do the same, Sir should not only do it, but rather, if he believes at all in its merits, try and convince others, such as One, to do the same. Just doing it, and getting into a outrageous squabble about so-called random number generators (nothing is random, its all God's great will, of course good Sir, God's intention you see, my personal priest said as much) is not doing anyone (hold the vampires and werewolves) much good! Also, Sir's use of language is absolutely despicable! Apparently, and this is outrageous I say to you, young, impressionable children are allowed to, not only read books of their choice (!), but go on the unfiltered and uncontrolled Internets! Even, and Sir, may I say, I splutter while I tell this to my man-servant scribe, young 'peasants' are allowed to access this internets! The vermin! In any event, and there I go digressing again, the voting time is upon us. While One is certainly not certain in making this vote, these first votes, after all, are quite a luck shot, One does want to ensure that this vote does terminate momentarily. So, One is voting for Silent Panda, due to reasons aforementioned!

One wishes all of thou, except the villainous werewolves and vampires, a fantastic day/end of day, and a good, vampire and werewolf free tomorrow!

King (literally) Mook Mook.

Ran the integers 1-20 through a custom random number generator over 9999 trials (screenshot attached). 5 came up the most, which is ucfgrad93.

hello everyone!
what a quaint morning! i log in and found out that once again aggie decided to vote for me, and once again with no apparent logic! :D
how original.
i am honestly very touched that he always thinks of me, and i suppose any Olde Village, as King Mook Mook would say, needs a rooted Olde Family Feud, the reasons for which have been lost into the Eons.

Well, who am I to fight the forces of tradition? Can I deny the calling of my ancestors who have been fighting (mostly unseccessfully i must say) the monsters roaming the outskirts of our town and -worst- those rumbling within the panicking minds of its once clearminded denizens? "My kin, right or wrong", as the ancients use to say (well, kinda).
So, without further ado, I'll yield to the immaterial pressure of the family ghosts and and cast my vote for my apparent arch-nemesis, -aggie- :D

I'm not opening that file. It might be infected with a werewolf virus.

So as not to appear biased, I updated willbro's votal totals and re-ordered the top five players based on 1) number of votes, and 2) username. I then re-ran my random number generator using the top five vote-getters, including myself, over 9999 trials and the number 3 came up the most (followed by the number 4, me). Therefore, I am changing my vote to one of the top five vote getters in the interest of moving the game forward: iBookG4user

Votes so far (updated):

SilentPanda: 5 (renewed, Rodimus Prime, iBlue, King Mook Mook, NathanMuir)
Chrmjenkins: 4 (Mexbearpig, iBookG4user, philbeeney, abijnk)
iBookG4user: 3 (willbro, chrmjenkins, stonyc)
Stonyc: 1 (appleguy123)
Ucfgrad93: 1 (jav6454)
NathanMuir: 1 (ucfgrad93)
Don’t Panic: 1 (-aggie-)
Appleguy123: 1 (Melrose)
-aggie-: 1 (Don't Panic)

Majority vote is 11

Silent panda's no-vote should be tallied as a "no-lynching vote", if those where to reach a majority, there should be no lynching that day.

i really like the idea of recycling the first who dies, but it shouldn't be a sure thing (to avoid 'suicides' of common villagers looking for a more interesting role), and for obvious historical reasons the comeback kid should be a zombie, based in iBlue's garden shack.

maybe you could bring back (randomly) as a zombie only one of the first 3 do die (including first wolf-food).

I'm starting to think this random.org thing for voting is a bit of a cop-out. It's also going to make it difficult to reach majority and cause the game to drag on. We all know the first couple votes are baseless throwaway votes anyway and I hope whomever is voted for can be understanding about that but I'm wondering if we should all agree to just bite the (silver) bullet and vote properly. I've done the random.org vote a time or two myself but it's the people who have the fortitude to actually vote that keep the game moving. All but two people have voted and we are nowhere near a majority. Please can we not do to this game what happened in the other? A 5-6 day lynch vote drag.

well, it is a cop out, as it allows to blame someone (or in this case something) else for one's vote.
but the first couple of votes are random until the mob takes over anyways.

people could do what stonyc has done: exclude from the list the bottom vote-getters and re-run random.org with the remaining ones. stays random but it coalesces the votes around a few candidates.

If it's any consolation, I didn't use it. I simply put together a short of prime suspects, noted the position of one I least liked the sound of, closed my eyes, and then put my finger down "randomly" on that name. :D

See? Utterly random, yet utterly intelligent.
