Why philbeeney? Just as why WoodNUFC?

Yes, I accept that Plutonius, Don't panic and - indeed, Moyank - tend to be killed and/or protected fairly early on. Unless they are other than what they may seem.

And I see the logic of attacking the runner up to the first day's vote, in the assumption that he (or she) may not be protected, but may well have been scanned, but why the plethora of votes for these three today?

Ok tally time!

Philbeeney (3) : Plutonius (173), Moyank24 (174), WoodNUFC (176)
WoodNUFC (2) : chrmjenkins (160), Philbeeney (162)
Meister (1) : mrkramer (159), WoodNUFC (169)
Plutonius (1) : Sythas (161)
chrmjenkins (0) : WoodNUFC (164)

Yet to vote : @Meister , @TechGod , @Scepticalscribe , @twietee , @Don't panic , @Koodauw

with not long before the end

About another hour or so.

Yes, I have not voted and that is because I am not entirely sure of what to do. In essence, I remain unconvinced that either WoodNUFC or philbeeney are WWs. Of the others who have posted, - and voted - and received votes, I am also at something of a loss.

On day 1, philbeeney's sole vote - indeed, sole post, was a vote for WoodNUFC. And, WoodNUFC, as we know, voted for me, then registered a no-vote, then voted for Meister.

I am curious about the reasoning behind Moyank's and Plutonius's votes for philbeeney.

Okay: Let us see if anything further can be raised from this.

For now, I'll go with Plutonius.

How much time to go? Half an hour, right?

This feels like a trap.

I agree. It is all a little too convenient. And, not for the first time, individuals signing up, but declining to participate except at the barest minimum level of participation - and some at not even that, rather irks me.

At 16.03 (GMT) @rick snagwell mentioned that 2.5 hours remained.

That leaves us with a little over one hour to go before the deadline.

Okay, a quick revised tally:

philbeeney: (3): Plutonius, Moyank24, WoodNUFC

WoodNUFC: (2): philbeeney, chrmjenkins

Plutonius: (2): Sythas, Scepticalscribe

Meister: (1): mrkramer

And several individuals have yet to post a post, or cast a vote.

Ok here's my problem with what Pluto calls the "old way": wouldn't it make more sense to let the runner up alive so to make him a viable target himself (barring any other events like outing or so)? Intell voted for comeagain so would have been a suspect himself. I remember lynching the second placed on day 2 in case no other good canditate was to be found.. so this smells a bit like framing - but a possible deflection as well.

It did achieve to stray away from Meister for sure, but his last minute multi-voting and editing yesterday smells kinda the same: occam's razor (innocent) or a way to look innocent (albeit causing some ruckus and being quite an attractive seer-target). He no showing up this day doesn't make him any trustworthier though.

I'll go with Koodauw -although that is basically a throw-away vote at this point. Not really convinced by all three choices so far. His votes yesterday were a bit strange imo and he did vote for comeagain after all (granted, like myself).

Well, then, why a throwaway vote? Why such a waste? Why not cast a vote for Plutonius to make it a tie, even if philbeeney is still in the lead? To be honest, if you do harbour such suspicions, this is something of a cop-out, not just a throwaway vote.

Well, I do have serious doubts about Pluto being a bad guy. I just don't think he would have gone on a voting spree as a ww just like he did. And voting for phil, who piles on wood out of the blue, isn't really that suspicious too without any further info.

you could change to koodauw yourself.

Why?

As of now, Koodauw has only one vote, yours. Secondly, why do you suspect him? Thirdly, I believe that the deadline may have elapsed.
[doublepost=1452451900][/doublepost]Day 2: Final Tally:

philbeeney: (3) Plutonius, Moyank24, and WoodNUFC.

WoodNUFC: (2): chrmjenkins, philbeeney.

Plutonius: (2): Sythas, Scepticalscribe

Meister: (1): mrkramer

Koodauw: (1): twietee

Didn't vote (or post): Meister, TechGod, Don't panic, Koodauw.

If I'd come back a bit earlier I would have changed my vote to be for Plutonius, the random vote from him and Moyank leaving WoodNUFC with no other reasonable option to save himself makes me very suspicious. So for now unless we get lucky and actually lynched a wolf my guess as to the three wolves are Meister, Plutonius, and Moyank. I'm guessing the infection hasn't been used yet either.

To be fair, with so many options this early in the game, I would have to be an idiot if I was a wolf with Pluto to make the vote I did, at the time I did. I could have randomly voted for someone who didn't have any votes.

I tend to think we get more info with ties and such. Pluto can tell you that back in the day, I used to HATE voting to make ties, but I get it now.

TLDR: I'm not an idiot! :D

Well, it's a bit weird to see all those players coming out of the woodwork right after the deadline. It's not like you made a good case for voting off Pluto yourself there though. :D

Also, I was guessing that there were some players lurking around and it almost seems that way..
edit: I mean players lurking around, possibly casting a last minute vote.

I missed the vote, because I had no internet access.
I just logged on a moment ago and the internet is at 56k (modem speed)

None all day? There was a twenty four hour period in which to register a vote, or a thought, or an observation.

Mine (internet which is far from ideal) cuts out intermittently; but it is still possible to register a vote, - or, even a question, a doubt, if only musing aloud.

No. I have no axe to grind, nor evidence, just a vague suspicion, re Plutonius. And I remain less than fully impressed by your throwaway vote.

However, I have massive reservations about the way the WoodNUFC and philbeeney stunt was pulled off.

And I remain underwhelmed at the collective crawling out of the woodwork at this tardy stage.

uops.
i had looked this morning and there where only a couple votes logged in.
didn't realize the deadline was so early
it would help to give some extra time in the weekends.
for what is worth i would have voted for philbeeney, for the early pile on

I'm in agreement with you but that is what often happened in the really old games. Besides, even though Intell tied for the top vote, I don't think anyone really thought he was a WW.

I am curious about the reasoning behind Moyank's and Plutonius's votes for philbeeney.

Day 2, I usually vote for a player who who remains apart from the others. I was initially going to vote for Wood but he already had two votes on him so I voted for philbeeney. Besides, philbeeney is an old school WW vet.

I'm also curious who you thought I should have voted for ?

As far as Twietee's vote for Koodauw, it makes sense if you are a WW. You were in the lead near the end of the day and Koodauw mysteriously saved you by changing his vote away from you to a no vote. One possibility I can see is that the infection was used on Koodauw to get him to change his vote.

If I'd come back a bit earlier I would have changed my vote to be for Plutonius, the random vote from him and Moyank leaving WoodNUFC with no other reasonable option to save himself makes me very suspicious. And how long have you played this game :D ?
Moyank would have never voted for phil after me if we were both WWs. Likewise, with my tie vote for Meister last turn, a changed vote from either Comeagain? or Intell to Meister would have killed Meister no matter what he did. I have no idea why neither of them tried to save themselves.

Well, seems like rick stays true to his words and lets us wait a bit.

Anyway, four players missing the vote is a new record in my book. Three of them showing up more or less directly afterwards another. Not sure what to think of it, deadline was tight for a week-end but still mighty irritating.

@pluto: I agree with your post, except that I find a statement like "nobody thought Intell would have been a ww" a bit much. I'd argue nobody really thought about him in the first place given the fact he had only posted once or twice in the whole game. ;)

Agreed.

A bit underwhelming, to put it mildly. The last minute appearance of so many non-participants is……..less than inspirational.

meh.
it's called life.
i already said i thought we had more time. you know well that i very very rarely miss a vote (in fact I don't remember when it happened the last time)
i logged after lunch and saw the deadline was already passed.

make of it what you will.
