So who did you scan ? I was a little suspicious of your claim that you scanned SS since she was already cleared.

First you, then abi, then Mo. But Mo died before I got a result. Went for ss to clear (most) of the ravenvii voters to go after the initial touch voting-vets afterwards.

Got screwed up somehow midterm I guess. I blame real life interfering though.

Thanks DP! Amazing effort you put into this!

it was fun, although a bit labour intense :D

I feel like we should combine forces next time. ;) Either that, or you can give me a proper royal role.

We got super lucky with getting an inquisitor the first day. I hope we play something similar to this again. It was wicked fun!

Me too, especially given my unexpected absence. But tough act to follow!

NIGHT 1:

Previously:
Queen of Spades (oracle) asks question
-----
WoodNUFC (lurcher) protects Queen of Spades

Koodauw/Ravenvii (inquisitors) target Southern Dad

Aggie (kandra) wears Imaketouchtheme’s bones
You got up from your sleeping place, away from the others. No one else appeared awake. You reached the place where Imaketouchtheme’s body had been left and started examining it.
In normal condition you would have used all his bones, and you could have taken the exact semblance of the dead inquisitor. But there wasn’t time, and besides, why would you want to do that? You doubted the group would have taken much liking at a ‘resurrected’ inquisitor.
But inquisitors where always Allomancers, and that is what you were interested in. you reached to one of the limbs and started digesting the soft tissues, until only the bones remained. Then you modeled your own flesh to expel the equivalent bones you had been using so far, and integrated the new ones.
As soon as the bones where part of you, you felt the difference. A time-bender? That was unexpected.
You searched the body and found the vial of Bendalloy.
So imaketouchtheme was a SLIDER, this could turn out useful.
You were puzzled, though. Why didn’t he use the bendalloy to save his own life?

Imaketouchtheme was a SLIDER, and still has bendalloy to burn.

Tomorrow ((tineye) follows the Seer
It was dark now, everyone else seemed to be asleep.
You flared some tin and immediately the night lit up.
The embers in the stonepit were roaring, ablaze.
The breeze was howling, and you started shivering from the suddenly enhanced cold.
You gradually filtered out all the noise and focused on the bodies sleeping around you. There was a shimmering aura on the other side of the camp, where plutonius was lying. This was interesting. Atium. Someone was burning Atium and taking a close look at plutonius. So there was a seer among you. But who?

Plutonius was scanned by the SEER

Twietee (seer) scans Plutonius
Coiled in your blanked, at the edge of the improvised camp, you reach into your sack and pull out a little leather pouch. It contains your most prized possession. Something that would make any man in the Empire richer beyond belief, and most likely get him killed just as soon.
You pick up the brushed grey metal object and open it with trepidation. You hadn’t opened it since you took that last bit of the precious metal and gave it to Mscriv during the battle.
You examine the crystals carefully, in anticipation of any sign of cracks that might have ruined them, but to your immense relief, you find none. The aluminum cage has done it job, protecting the fragile violet crystals from the Allomantic storm that raged around you at the caves. Inside, at the center of the translucent spikes, a small shining bead. Atium.
As it burned inside of you, you directed the familiar pulse at Plutonius, seemingly sleeping a few yards from you. You immediately sensed the gold, but there was no other metals in him. No spikes.

Plutonius is an AUGUR, and a loyal REBEL

Plutonius (augur) examines Imaketouchtheme
You approached the dead body of the inquisitor, burning a tiny bit of gold.
Images start running across your eyes.
Scenes of a young kid playing in a farming village, than a group of cloaked figures. School. Scary instructors with spiky metal eyes. A young man moving at impossible speed, as others around him apparently still, like statues. Then Pain, indescribable pain in his chest, and pride, and a feeling of accomplishment. Tasks completed in blazing time. A rich chamber, decorated with stained-glass windows. A massively tattooed inquisitor congratulating him. The High inquisitor himself. As the vision faded, you couldn’t keep a smile spreading on your face.

The HEAD INQUISITOR, a SLIDER, was dead.

Scepticalscribe (seeker) scans
You reach for the vial containing the bronze flakes and give it a flick. The bronze glistens in the alcoholic solution and starts swirlng around like mist, reflecting the light from the embers. You watch it raptured for a few seconds, then take a little swag.
A short pulse over to where Moyank is sufficient to determine that there is no Allomantic activity going on.

the SCAN is NEGATIVE

NIGHT 2:

Previously:
Astroboy Pulser) extends deadline, adding 8 hours
Sythas (burster) empowers Scepticalscribe
Aggie (kandra/slider) shortens deadline, ending the day
-----
WoodNUFC (lurcher) protects WoofNUFC

Koodauw/Ravenvii (inquisitors) target Tomorrow

Aggie (kandra) wears Sythas’s bones
It is dark again. You reach the shallow grave where sythas body is lying, and quickly unearth part of it.
Then you discard imaketouchtheme old bones. Good riddance. Hated those. Bones are bones, but you never felt comfortable wearing inquisitor’s ones.
Besides, his power was now spent, and you had no further use for them. Maybe the next one would be more interesting.
As you enclose sythas’ bones in your skeleton, you immediately feel the Necrosil. A BURSTER! This is going to be fun! But your excitement quickly leaves space to disappointment.
There is very little power left in these bones, the necrosil has been all spent already.

Sythas was a nicrosil BURSTER, but he has NO power remaining

Twietee (seer) scans abijnk
Again, you quietly open the aluminum shell that protects your most prize possession and extract the small shiny bead of Atium.
You’d rather save it, but you need clarity and Atium IS clarity.
You pop it in your mouth and have a sip of water from your skin, then immediately proceed at consuming it.
You look around for a second, then focus your pulse at the aenigmatic Abijnk. There is something odd there, something you don’t quite comprehend, Then you feel it and it all becomes clear.
Aluminum.
Imagine the elation of finding out you are a Mistings, and then the discovery that your power allowed you do precisely.. nothing.
Well, that was not entirely true. At least she would pretty much never become an inquisitor, nor the unwilling accomplice in creating one of those monstrosities.

Abijnk is an aluminum gnat, and a loyal rebel

Plutonius (augur) examines southerndad
As you are pondering the unusual events that just transpired, you give a brief look at Sythas’ shallow, freshly-dug grave.
Then you shift your focus to Southern dad’s remains, now lying buried some leagues away.
The farther the body was, the harder the task, and the more confused the visions, but this wasn’t the hardest you had performed.
As you burned a few slivers of gold, you reached out to the dead shepherd.
Unsurprisingly, the images that rolled in front of your mind-eye were those of goats and sheep, of low-ceiled huts and stables. Mists and streams, laughter and sweat. The life of a skaa’s shepherd didn’t have too many occasions for excitements.
Until the steel-eyed men appeared in the vision. Voiceless screams of children, mothers crying.
Hiding behind a bush, sharp focus on a small group of children. HIS children.
An inquisitors passes by, stares at them for some time and then moves on. Sighs of relief.
Scraps of copper. A good pot shredded into small pieces, until they are all gone.
And when the inquisitors showed up again, this time the children were gone too.

Southern Dad was a skaa shepherd, and a SMOKER

Scepticalscribe (seeker) scans ravenvii, tomorrow
Still thinking about the bizarre day’s events, you almost mechanically reach for you vial of bronze. Not much is left, but hopefully you can get more once you reach the city. Meanwhile, better be cautious, so you take only a little bit, enough for a quick scan.
Surprisingly, you feel an intense power flowing from the burning metal. You have been burning bronze for more years that you care to admit, and you have never felt this sensation. There is a different vibe to the familiar pulse,
As the burning surges to an intense brief flare that all but extinguishes your bronze, you realize what it is. You felt it before, even though not on yourself. Someone must have been burning Necrosil, and they targeted you.
Not to waste it, before the burst fades, you quickly direct your pulse towards Tomorrow and Ravenvii, who are laying closest to you.
However, you don’t pick up anything of note. Nobody is burning metal there.

both SCANs are NEGATIVE

NIGHT 3:
Previously:
Rick (coinshot) kills moyank
-----
WoodNUFC (lurcher) protects Plutonius
Koodauw (inquisitor) targets Plutonius.

Aggie (kandra) wears ravenvii’s bones

Another inquisitor. Barely containing your displeasure, you get rid of Sythas’ useless bones and start the process of wearing ravenvii’s.
Well, at least he was keeping himself in good shape.
As soon as your new body starts forming, you feel the unburned Chromium reserves, and your disgust increases.
Puah! It figures. A LEECHER.

Ravenvii was a LEECHER

Twietee (seer) scans Scepticalscribe
You look at Moyank’s limp body and shake your head.
Although, in truth, you can see why someone would do it.
You had your own doubts about her. As you do about one of the other ladies in the group, the mysterious Scepticalscribe. Terris people had been persecuted by the Inquisition for centuries, and yet many of them where firmly in their fold. Could this erudite scholar persona be just an elaborate front?
You carefully reach into the pouch and retrieve yet another newly formed Atium bead and push it down with a sip of water. As it burns, you direct your vision toward the Terris woman, and immediately feel the bronze-pulse around her. A SEEKER. One of the classic inquisitor's powers.
As you examine her more carefully, your heartbeat accelerates. There IS another metal! Copper! But wait.. it is not a spike, a concealed armaband? Oh, a coppermind!
Wow. A Twinborn. Misting AND Feruchemist.
You had never met another one before. And now you know how she knows all that stuff.

Scepticalscribe is a SEEKER, and LOYAL to the cause

Plutonius (augur) examines ravenvii
You can't withhold a satisfied smile, as you get close to ravenvii’s body to examine it.
You pick up the heavy maul and swing it lightly, passing from hand to hand.
That was close. You think at the fight and you start burning a bit of gold.
Immediately, images of a quarry, the ringing tumps of hammers over drills, dust everywhere. So it wasn’t a cover, he really was a Stone worker. And a builder, you realize, as flashes of construction sites and half-finished buildings briefly appear. Than the building becomes an underground, dark and bare structure, and the noises of construction transform into screams of suffering. Shackled Allomancers trying to fight back, to reach into their metal reserves. and -invariably- their shock when they find out none remained. A mirthless smile of derision, a sensation of triumph.
You shiver as it dawns on you. A LEECHER! They were the worst.

Ravenvii, AN INQUISITOR, was a LEECHER

Scepticalscribe (seeker) scans WoodNufc
As you are reaching WoodNUFC’s barge, you look quizzically at the Riverman, and take your decision. As soon as your bronzepulse starts, you feel the low, intense allomantic vibrations of Iron burning emanating from him, like he is maintaining a thick pull-cloud around someone, and tracking anything metallic around them.
You can’t figure out who he is protecting, but you are confident that they can sleep safely tonight

WoodNUFC is burning IRON

I don't believe that Aggie (Kendra) ever had the tiny eye. I think he only cleared me based on the scan results I

Duh!

Alright, never thought about that actually. Too hectic around here.

There was a short time frame (~3h) I tought it possible that you could've been infected (after my PM was sent and before DP gave the narration) without my scan showing it. That was when I questioned your claim. :D

The powers in this game are really fun. And re: the Oracle, once again thank you for the math. Next time I'll give that breakdown a whirl.

edit: ninja'd. Well done guys. That's as close to a flawless village victory as it gets.

DP - really awesome roles. It was neat how everyone had something they could pull from their sleeves. I wonder how the power balance would have worked had we not been so lucky in our early guesses.

I feel like we should combine forces next time. ;) Either that, or you can give me a proper royal role.

Me too, especially given my unexpected absence. But tough act to follow!

you no likey innkeeper? :D

i still think the powers were well balanced. the wolves got a couple of bad break and took a couple of decision that turned out to be not optimal.

voting for the alpha on day one was very high risk, Still would have worked if imaketouch would have used his slider power to save himself by closing day one.
If they got the infection in, it would have been a very different game.
also, ravenvii not being around to save himself in crunch time was very costly

in hindsight i would probably have less roles that are exclusive to the villagers/roles, as it clears too many players.
i still like the idea of separate powers and alignment

That was just me not reading the infection rules carefully after complaining others weren't reading them carefully :).

i should take part of the blame.
I am afraid the rules were not written clearly enough, but i felt they were already so long, so i tried to summarize, at the expense of clarity.

a second game with the same rules/roles would go much smoother, as people would be familiar with them

The rules were fine. I just skimmed through the rules on infection after the game started because we killed the alpha WW and there was no chance of infection :).

Worst wolves ever.

Awesome game, wish it's (much) longer!

Love the inventive powers!

Agreed! Sorry everyone, I have training all this week and couldn't post at work, so that really sucked. Normally I would put up more of a fight, but there was no way to keep up with all the posts and even pretend to be someone else.

Great job guys!!

I feel like my very ruthless, untimely, and just plain horrible death was the key to the whole thing! ;)

----------

Game of Thrones, maybe? :D

YES! so your not mad at meeee!!??

----------

I am surprised I wasn't targeted at all.

you got about 30 more games to play before you can think of being a target.

look at old games, people like DP are the biggest target due to their amazing analytical skills and ways to find WW.

I already did that! :)

I was thinking superheroes, where each player creators their own backstory and powers (for story). I'll then assign extra powers like this game had.

Did you?? Did I play? Why the heck don't I remember?!

But superheroes is a wonderful idea!!

I call Wonder Woman!! :D

----------

YES! so your not mad at meeee!!??

Yes, I am.

You have a lot of groveling to do!

I had an idea also. Everyone had the ability of the thug. Meaning they would survive a WW attack (lynchings would still be instant kills)

If you get hit by the WW however you are severely injured and can speak only once a day in your injured form.

You could only vote but you aren't allowed to post any reasons as to why and would have to rely on other people to wonder why you voted for the person. You are treated as dead unless you vote.

There then, could be a doctor that could heal one player only in the whole game.

With more thought I think this would be a interesting dynamic to play with.
