I don't think I've ever cared so much about seeing a priest. Look what you've done to me, WW game!

... I appreciate iBlue's compliment about my gameplay and to answer Plutonius's question, she's a happily married woman sir! While she and her husband were away celebrating their anniversary I was asked to house sit, so any coming and going you may have seen was me simply fulfilling my obligations while they were away.
...

I don't remember asking you to do that but then I do sample a lot of my baked™ goods. :D It's cool, you left the place looking nice but I'm a little concerned about that clump of fur I found by the firepit outside.

... Plutonius Is overly chatty while not giving anything useful. He has constantly been choosing people that are inactive or don't post much which has raised my suspiciouns of him. I would post more but i hate posting on iPhone :(

I have a strange feeling about Don't panic as well.

I've never played with him before so I don't know if this is typical behaviour but some of his posts have amused me. His style has tripped my "WTF?" radar but I tend to cut newbies to the complex game some slack and get to know them. It's a community game after all.

In absence of body language people do absolutely clutch straws to gain any reason to suspect someone. Inactivity is a big one because it gives so little away, which can be suspicious in itself. Hell, I'm one of the semi-chatty ones and someone noticed when I didn't post for one day. Life does happen though and that doesn't mean someone's sportin' fur / fangs. However, historically it seems the quietest ones do tend to get the votes because lack of participation makes the village paranoid. It's best to at least try to talk.

Though in Don't Panic's case, he talks plenty and he's always a suspect. He's one of the more difficult ones to read. Like I said, straws, we grasp them!

As long as it's not Camden, NJ :D

Grats!

I've never heard of it but I do wonder why so many American cities opted for stealin' the original British city/town names. London's Camden is quite a sight. All filled with massive metal horses, intricate wooden carvings and various wares smelling of Nag Champa and trendiness.

Everyone seems semi active now (I'll re-evaluate next turn) and to satisfy the complaints that I'm not voting for an active player, I'll vote for Rodimus Prime :).

Rodimus Prime or RP for short. I don't know who is a WW but I have to vote for someone. It wasn't I who nicknamed Melrose's goat Rodimus or locked you in the outhouse so I'm not sure why you have such animosity towards me. I admit that I like to talk but this village needs someone to cheer it up now. I decided to vote for you because of the logic you used in your vote makes absolutely no sense. You can make other claims which I would be glad to refute but to say I was plotting with Mexbearpig is just plain ridicules. As it has been shown, I was the one who convinced everyone to vote for Mexbearpig. I was present and vocal for the entire vote on Mexbearpig. Stonyc tried very hard to get me to switch from Mexbearpig to Renewed so I could have switched easily with zero suspicion and saved Mexbearpig's life. I would have expected a village elder to show much better logic so I'm forced to think you might not be the person who you claim to be. I'm sorry but you get my vote :( .

+1 on the priest! I mean, come on, we could use a little help here. We're all not immune for 3 days.

And, are you sure Camden, NJ wasn't there first? :D

I always thought there were so many cities named after British ones (at least in the Northeast where I"m from) because the original English who settled here named them.

Updated tally thus far is at:

mscriv [3 votes] - NathanMuir, iBlue, Don't Panic
Don't Panic [3 votes] - jimN, CBoss, mscriv
Melkorr [1 vote] - philbeeney
Rodimus Prime [1 vote] - Plutonius
Plutonius [1 vote] - Melkorr
ravenvii [1 vote] - stonyc

So far, it seems mscriv is heading down the death lane... anyone has any corrections to the above?

Edit - Still with mscriv's vote, he is still inline to be murdered.

I'd suggest you not lynch me. I'd prefer not to reveal my role and I hoped my explanation for inactivity was sufficient. If I'm forced to reveal my role and "prove it" I guess I will have to do so. Additionally, I guess as an act of self preservation I will have to vote for Don't panic as he's the next highest vote total. I don't necessarily think he's guilty, but the votes that have been cast for me thus far are forcing my hand.

I'm headed out with the family to do some shopping and won't be back till around lunch time. I don't have an internet mobile device so I guess we'll just have to see what happens. Please keep in mind that in these games things often come to this point and what I have said will most likely encourage baddies to pile on votes at this point. So, I'm asking that if you are not a baddie and have voted for me that you recall your vote so as to avoid the additional piling votes from sealing my fate. However, if last second votes come in for me then the village has a good place to start in terms of looking for baddies.

Edit: As a side note, Jav, I'm not sure the close of voting or other major game changing events should be set to occur on the weekend. During the weekend real life tends to take over and many players are not active.

Boy, wouldn't it be nice if the Priest came forward to help guide our voting?

Just FYI, but there are a few people in the game who are in danger of being force-quit if they do not post sometime before this weekend is over or before Monday morning. So please... vote, post some thoughts to contribute to the game, or if for nothing else to not be auto-killed by the almighty Javweh. :)

Everyone has posted so the priest is choosing not to revel his identity. Since the priest has immunity to everything in the first three days (he could reveal his identity to prevent hanging), look to the priest to be more active then usual (he better be or he is a terrible priest :) ). The priest is observing all that happens in the first three days and will phrase the question based on good data (as opposed to a random 4 or 5 players picked). The priest is also trying to maximize the chance of getting a vampire. I suggest people don't wait on the priest but instead start suggesting a possible question and how many / what people should be included in the question. When the priest decides to act, he will know what he is going to ask so people better start suggesting now.

I'm closing voting 30 minutes early today... I have a flight at 12:40, so I'll be in plane and unable to use electronic devices when the voting closes. So as of now, Don't Panic is the lynchee.

Expect a story in 5-10 minutes. I'll do a follow-up post to determine the best time to end the Night because of travel reasons... Right now, I'm leaning towards Sunday at 6PM.

The sun started to go down Earlier than usual on MRVille. Typical for a Winter day, little sunlight was had that day and it little did to warm up MRVille which was now under cold feelings due to the wolves having ravaged appleguy123.

Some villagers plowed and shoved the snow around their house that the massive blizzard had left. Others were simply in the town's square trying to decide who gets to see the town while hanging from the gallows.

-aggie- yelled, "We have one shot a day at this. I believe in mscriv, I there for put forth that Don't Panic be lynched" Others agreed. mscriv stated "I am something for the good of the village! My absence can be explained by the fact my door was jammed by the dam snow!" stonyc later affirmed, "I would rather see what the priest has to say about this matter.

"Nevermind that!" yelled one of the elders. "Executioner! Executioner! Executioner!" Yet he was no where to be found. "Doesn't matter!" melrose and Rodimus Prime carried Don't Panic to the gallows.

They placed the noose over the head of Don't Panic and tied it around his neck.

The trap door opened. Don't Panic started to shake.

His convulsions got worse and worse as Don't Panic's lungs tried to grasp for air. So after a few minutes, Don't Panic's body stopped moving. Nothing happened. The villagers knew they just had killed on of theirs. Defeated, the villagers turned to their homes. The night was young. What could happen next?

Don't Panic has been lynched and is only a villager. It is now Night 2.

Genuinely sorry Don't Panic, really felt that your posting was a little off. Mscriv's confession really upset the applecart as it's impossible to tell if he was saved because he essentially claimed to be the hunter or because he was a vamp. In other circumstances I'd worry that one or other baddie was amongst those voting for don't panic but now I'm not so sure.

Mscriv could be making an elaborate bluff but the only way to call it is to make him prove himself which would waste an instakill and risk sending our hunter to the gallows.

We need a priest now, although when they do turn up questions will be asked about where the blood hell they've been.

Does the hunter only gets one insta-kill / game and why would the hunter be sent to the gallows for using it ?

Or we could have the seer scan him, which would put him at risk then.

Crappy either way you look at it.

Frankly, I'm quite annoyed that the priest is being this selfish.

Mscriv's assertion has piqued my interest however...

Since there are 5 possible bad roles in this game (3 original + 2 by infection/bite), and we've eliminated 1 baddie already... that means the chances are very good that the Seer is still alive in this game.

Given that assumption, I would suggest that the Seer scan mscriv tonight. If the results are that he is good, the Seer need not say anything and by his or her silence tomorrow (assuming that by chance the Seer isn't killed tonight) we can assume that mscriv, at least for the time being, is on the side of good.

If the Seer scans mscriv, and mscriv is actually a baddie, at that point it might be a good trade for the Seer to out him or herself so that we can eliminate mscriv. On the bad side, the Seer is now outed... but on the good side, the chances are also very good that both Hunters are still alive in this game, meaning that as long as they are alive they can keep the Seer protected.

That's my opinion at least on how the Seer should proceed with their scan tonight and how to deal with the results of it tomorrow.

I'm sure all will be forgiven when the priest is revealed :D

I would say that would depend upon when the Priest is actually revealed.
