Well there you go. No one vote for Moayank24. He has avowed he is a villager. :D

Exactly right. ;)

I was waiting for the Priest to make an appearance before voting, but it looks like that isn't happening. And we also have to now wait about the 3 that could get kicked out of our village.

Truth be told, I'd probably vote for one of them anyway. I don't see the point in not participating, even if it's just popping in once every day. Those of us who are active are putting ourselves in a position to be second guessed every time we post. It's a cop out to just say that's how you play.

Alright, I have to enforce the rules. I made the change to enforce, not debate. So, in the next lynch post three extra deaths will be had. I'm sorry for those offenders, but I made the rules clear at the start of the game.

This is a wake up call. Again, I may not be popular with those soon to be dead, but, the game really can't drag like this.

Deadline STAYS the same. 6PM tomorrow.

I was referring to not moving the vote time back in my previous post, when I was referring to the rules. IDK if it’s a good idea to kill all the non-players though.

I am allowed to comment on game rules, right? Will you reassign the roles of those people?

Wait, who are we talking about? Is this the three to which you are referring?

chrmjenkins 12/9/10 2:31 PM +91 hrs
philbeeney 12/10/10 0:12 AM +81 hrs
renewed 12/9/10 7:56 PM +85 hrs

Please confirm this for us Jav as I think it will help people make up their minds about voting?

I have no problem with my demise due to the rules being enforced. However, I would like to offer the following to consider for the next game.

I voted for Melkorr as the second werewolf on Fri (10th) @ 12:12am EST. In between that time and the lynching on Sat (11th) @ 1:15pm, I didn't see any new arguments for me to change my mind and I didn't see any reason to contribute.

There was a 36 hour time frame between the lynching and end of night (instead of 24 hours as per the rules). That's an extra 12 hours waiting to find out who died (or not in this case). That makes a difference when trying to decide who I think needs to be lynched.

I think I'll take a break from the next few games as I have not been posting as much I normally do and Christmas is approaching, so computer time will be limited due to other activities.

IMHO, the complex games are taking too long and my interest is waning. This needs to be addressed in future games.

I don't think we should reassign roles. It messes with the dynamic too much.

If philbeaney is here now and willing to play he should be back in the game as we don't want to lose too many. However, I don't think his excuse for not posting is valid. It's only through people's interaction that we can get any idea about roles. The quiet players get to benefit from the input others offer without themselves adding to the game - were we all to play like them we'd just post our votes and nothing else and the whole thing would be pointless.

Renewed and Chris have both been posting in the simple game and choosing not to post here which is a little frustrating.

Sorry, I've barely had time to keep up. I'm still at work :(

BTW I posted at 10:19 this morning my time, and I've been looking at the thread, just no time to post. Since I'm about to die, I'll also say that I sent a PM directly related to the game yesterday, which I can verify by forwarding.

BTW, you guys should vote to lynch one of us to prevent extra deaths, and then the sorcerer can bring one of us back. Take that 80 hour rule!

just a brief comment about the rules situation:

- jav had stated that roles wouldn't be reassigned and it wouldn't make sense to do it now, as it would make for a basically random game.

- the 80 hours rule is a bit complicated to follow and enforce, because it requires too much work. In the future I would recommend to change to a game-period of time, such as for example that you are required one post from dawn to dawn.

- there should be only one game going on at the time: they do cannibalize each other.
i personally like the complex rules much more and i think this round we had reached a good balance spot, but it should be up to the 'god' to decide that.

I'll second philbeeney staying in the game... I think renewed posted once since -aggie- posted their times since last post previously but I could be mistaken. I think everyone's time is going to get a little strained as we get closer to christmas, so let's keep this game moving... deadline tomorrow as normal?

That said, I'm going to vote for CBoss, since he is the next least active player... I hate voting based on activity, but I'm not getting left with a lot of choices.

JimN I will give you the benfit of the doute and let you live another night but I will say CBoss is fairly inactive and he did not vote for mex and was part of the group that vote for Don't Panic so I am going to change my vote to CBoss

-aggie-. He brought up the 80 hour rule. That to me says he wants as many people gone from the game to allow him and his infected werewolf pal to defeat the villagers.

1) Only run one game at a time. I recommend cycling between complex and simple.

2) Set each day and night to be 24 hours with 48 hours on weekends (vote is on Sunday night). A voting time should be set for the game (i.e. 9:00pm central). The longer you make the day, the more inactive the players become.

3) Players are required to post something during both the day and night (i.e. once every 24 hours (48 hours on a weekend)). In the event you will be busy, a short note saying when you will be back should suffice.

4) Players seem to be burning out. Allow two weeks of downtime (signup) between games.

Now you can see how I felt in the last simple game. People in both games were posting in the complex game and ignoring the simple game. I decided to try out this complex game because someone (who will remain nameless :) ) told me the complex game has good participation and asked me to play.

Earnest is a very strange name for a WW :)

It's a very strange name for anyone. :D

I'll cast my vote for ravenvii. He doesn't seem as active as he was earlier in the game, and he cast a late vote for MBP so there's a chance he did that to cover his WW'ness as well as a chance that he was infected, which may explain his sudden lack of participation.

ravenvii, both to possibly save myself from being lynched (I'm not a WW or Vampire.) and because ravenvii switched to MBP late in the voting of Day 1.

Edit:
I also think that the participation rule should be modified. 80 hours is a lot of time, but it is difficult to keep track of.

I think people might participate more if the story continued from the narrations into everyone's posts. Plutonius has tried to do this and I think it's made the game more fun than previous game discussions based solely on probabilities.

I did similar with my second vote also. Day was extended and then I didn't see any reason to post during the night. Day 3 rolled around and I thought that the priest would finally show and I was waiting for that. I'm not sure if I passed the 80 hours or not between posts.

I have a strange feeling about JimN.

Thanks for nothing, priest.

I'm voting ravenvii. I thought with the original game narrator it would be a lot of fun but it's a whole lot of nothing. I had a weird feeling about him from the go but because he was the game starter I felt a bit bad about it. I suspect he's been infected.

Agreed on all points.
