We also need to look at who voted late (made a meaningless vote at that time).

Sythas

Sir Twietee, I have made my choice so I'm on record. I will of course change my vote to whomever you say is guilty.

I thought I explained that, but I'll explain again. I was buried with school work that was due this morning, so I was quiet. I'm not a fan of majority locks on the first day, so I threw my vote away.

I'm going to read over the thread and vote later.

Menteur.

Since my French is a little rusty, how about explaining your vote.

Something I just thought of. It's possible but unlikely Don't Panic wasn't the traitors target but The Vulture and he tried to protect a traitor and got killed doing so. I think that's unlikely as I suspect DP would have protected himself the first night.

Hehehe, basically he's saying that ScepticalScribe could be a traitor, but not for the same reason I gave.

Then he said I'm a liar, because I'm from Quebec in my Status, but say I'm french in my signature.

So Ravenvii, it's not because an american live in england than he can't say he's american, right ? You are then using the same logic I used against ScepticalScribe ;) in pure retaliatory..

BUT yes I should change my signature, by saying my main language is french than implying that I was born in France.

Il faut dire que tu es le Francois-Quebecois, non? :)

French-Canadian = Canadien-Français = Québécois

BUT it's not the reality since more and more Québécois (Have a right to vote in Québec) doesn't speak a word in French and they would just say they are Canadian instead.

Yes it's always a possibility (but not the first night I think), and it's a possibility that the traitors killed "The Bought Man"

It's technically possible but I think it's generally assumed the Vulture protects themselves the first night due to lack of information and wanting to live at least for a night.

Speak the language of the thread or we'll have to suspect you of traitorous acts! I can't tell if you're speaking witchcraft or not!

FenrisMoonlight - Squire in service of the King's Justice

jimN got lost somehow?

I'll follow the Queen's suggestion as a wise King should do in crucial moments like this and vote hereby for scepticalscribe.

Why not jimN you ask me? I always got curious and suspicious about 'newcomers' almost never committing themselves, posting once per day at maximum. Intell, DrMacKay and others come to mind. But they've never been a wolf, so I give him the benefit of the doubt.

To put a word or more in bold on the phone;

put square brackets with a 'B' in them before the name and Square brackets with '/B' in them at the end of the name :)

Thank you. Shall remember that in future. Day off today and nights over the weekend so should be more involved in the next round.

Am not so much a newcomer as a "rejoiner". I played quite a bit a while ago when I was in a post that had me at a desk for much of the day and with not a lot to do. Now that work is busier and we're in hockey season it's harder to be involved but I was invited back in so I thought what the hell.

I haven't been the most involved in the game to date although I haven't much to offer so far. From recollection early input seems to fall heavily in the realms of idle speculation and witch hunts. No doubt there'll be lots of self-congratulating going on for picking Jav but given it was achieved with no hard facts it was clearly more luck than judgement.

Still, shall attempt to contribute more in future.

There seems to be a most subtle bandwagon building, with the intended outcome of lynching me.

Obviously, as so often happens in these games, the more prolific are targets, while the mute, taciturn, and less than vocal participants coast along quietly, unquestioned and unexamined.

Yes, there is the excuse of work, intense or otherwise. Believe me, that very same excuse applies to me at the moment, yet has not prevented me from keeping an - at least - nodding acquaintance with what is happening.

A few things worth noting here:

Twietee declared himself as not suspicious of me some posts back, (having checked out the First Day's log of events), yet now hastily leaps on the bandwagon.

Likewise, Sythas, and QoS - an argument, reasoned or otherwise, rather than confining oneself to posting a bolded name would be nice, occasionally. And twietee, arguing along the lines of 'my gut says' or 'I have a hunch' is not an argument for anything other disregarding what you say, and doing precisely the opposite, given the dismal record of following where your gut led in earlier incarnations of this world.

Now, with DP dead, Jav successfully lynched, and mental laziness the default setting of some among the loyals, a sense of complacency is in danger of setting in.

I have suggested earlier than an old, wise, and vastly experienced hand is guiding some of these moves On The Other Side; you - as in you plural - may want to think about that before dashing blindly, myopically, and worst of all, unthinkingly, into another joyful rush to blood to your collective (and hollow) heads.

I have already said that I am not - to use the parlance so beloved of some of our More Witless and Clueless Leaders - One Of The Bad Guys. In fact, I'll go so far as to suggest that it might not be such a good idea to lynch me.

It seems that all votes are nearly in and my infrequent contributions and posting after drinking have left me top of the pile. I accept that panda voted for me because I encouraged it and I accept that Phil voted for me likely in retaliation. However ufcgrad93 seems happy to have jumped on a bandwagon which to my mind makes them suspicious.

There's a temptation to name scribe as this would most likely guarantee my safety and continued involvement over the weekend.
The argument for is:
- they don't half drone on and seem to protest too much
- if I don't vote for them and they are the traitor I become suspect
The argument against is:
- if I do vote for them and they are a traitor I become even more suspect
- if they are innocent then everything looks worse too

I seem to have landed between a rock and a hard place by virtue of making 5 posts. Bizarre.

Am not so much a newcomer as a "rejoiner".

That's why I paraphrased newcomer. :)
But you may translate that with people I've never played with before and who are rather absent (and thus suspicion arose).

Interesting to say the least. For the record, I never declared myself free from any doubts re your loyalty, I only corrected that I wrongly put you along those who voted late with a throwaway-vote. I have had other reasons, reasons I won't explain now - we may discuss them with a bottle of red wine later on if you'd like - jumping hastily on some bandwagon wasn't one of them. Sythas reasoning wasn't as well.

But very well, you of course should be granted the benefit of the doubt as everybody else, so I'll no-vote for the moment and have to look elsewhere for some findings.

----------

I'll change to Tomorrow for the moment. I know we have our history, but I find both of his votes, first day DP and especially now for QoS, a bit strange. Can't put my finger on it really, first day vote may be as it is, but QoS gave Jav her vote for the 4-4 tie with Ucfgrad93 - why would she do that so early when she isn't one of us Loyals? Makes her much less suspicious than most of the others right now imho. SilentPanda would be the other player I feel rather confident with right now, but since I can imagine him radically killing his fellow baddie that early without any necessity just to prove a point, he stays tepid as well. ;)

I accept your appologies for acusing me of being a trator. I withdraw my vote against you honorable lady. But be aware that if you are indead a traitor I'll personnaly hang you in the afterlife.

Now, why jav didn't change his vote for Silentpanda yesterday as a try to save his own neck? Maybe he knew that as a traitor to the throne he have no chance? or is it because he was protecting his master?

Sir Twietee, are you sure about Tomorrow ? I will follow your lead but I currently wasn't even considering Tomorrow.

No, of course I am not sure. Don't really want to vote for JimN now, though.
We have a dedline yet?

Je reconce mon vote pour Scepticalscribe. C'est gentile etre sur, mais je n'ai pas une idée. Peut-etre il est (ou c'est?) Tomorrow qui Twietee et Plutonius accusent.
