That could be one viable approach imho: voting off ravenvii.

Either he has to reveal his role (and we can figure if it is likely or not) or he is lynched. That way we can have some more ideas regarding the loyalty of sythas and woodnufc. Unfortunately, I don't think we can give people claiming to be a special a free pass anymore. We did it three times now, if I'd be a baddie I'd just do that now: claim to be a special. The more Loyals are dead the easier to cheat for the bad guys.

Deadline was 8:00 PM, woodnufc posted his vote 6:52 PM, what am I missing (except one hour)?

I see Sythas and ravenvii, also regarding day1, much more suspicious than woodnufc tbh. Let's not forget that ravenvii could have given Sythas a vote to at least tie him - instead he gave his to Pluto. Their behavior seems almost too suspicious to be true.

Daylight savings time (or the opposite)? I dunno. I was thinking cutoff was 10pm my time and the forums showed 9:52pm my time. If I'm off, then my fault. But I'm pretty sure I'm not.

Depends if chrmjenkins really means PST or not - currently west coast America is in PDT time zone (pacific daylight time) which is UTC (Universal Time)-7 hours. Most people don't realize that when the clocks change for the summer the time zone your in actually changes and simply refer to PST all the time. i.e. England is either GMT or BST (British Summer Time) which is UTC-1 hour. I think most people assumed he meant current time west coast in which case WoodNUFCs vote was 8 minutes before deadline.

Note: for all intents are purposes UTC can be considered to be GMT. I won't go into the subtle differences between the two.

Yeah. I don't think I've ever used PDT, MDT, CDT, or EDT. I just know I'm X hours away from each time zone since aside from tiny pockets, we all shift together.

Look at it thus way. In the lovely Pacific Northwest (same time zone as where chrmjenkins is), it's 2:30 on my iPhone.

Very few people do. It gets important when writing user interfaces that show times which need to be accurate and when your parsing data that comes from different parts of the world. There's a couple weeks each year when the difference between time in England and West coast is 7 hours or 9 hours - i.e. from October 27th (when UK cloaks change) to November 3rd (when US clock change) difference will only be 7 hours instead of 8.
 
Was my vote suspicious? Sure. I made a decision not to place another throw away vote. The choice came between Ravenvii and Pluto. It wasn't too hard for me to pick Pluto. He had made subtle statements early in the day that made it sound - at least to me - as if he was the vulture (guard). I know for a fact he isn't, so I voted to off him.

Am I upset that he ended up being a loyal? Sure, but that the nature of the game.
 
Why would we vote for woodNUFC to check if ravenvii was a Traitor who got saved? :confused:

There are actually 7 people posting next to nothing plus additional 3 at minimum who are quite silent as well. with 17 people left that's a lot - not sure how to encourage some helpful participation because voting for dubious absence will be looking for a needle in a haystack.

That said, I'm going to vote for ravenvii. Not bolding now since I said before I'd like to hear some more reasonings first; in case he reveals some intel we can actually ponder I'll rethink this approach of course.

You know for a fact Pluto isn't the vulture. Only a few ways I can come up with you know that.

1. Your the Master of Whispers and you scanned him first night. In which case why would you vote for someone you know to be loyal over an unknown. So I think that's pretty unlikely.

2. Your a handmaiden and Pluto was the other handmaiden. Again very unlikely you'd have killed the other handmaiden.

2. Your the vulture. In which case you've already outed yourself so let us know who you guarded first night so the Faceless Man can tell us if your lying.

3. Your a traitor and your lying but you know the vulture is dead because he died instead of your target one night (i.e. vulture was DP or Tomorrow and they tried to protect a traitor) so claiming to be the vulture is a way of staying safe.

Good deductions.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't Pluto the one who claims he will never reveal if he has a role early on in games, even if he's up for lynching?

To be honest I wasn't in anyway suspicious of him until he posted saying pluto claimed to be the vulture (not sure when pluto claimed that) and that he knew for a fact he wasn't.

I'm most inclined to vote for ravenvii. I don't know that all 3 on my list were traitors, but I feel like they were trying to absolve ravenvii. Were they all? Maybe not, but if one of the two were, then ravenvii is a traitor. So IMO he'd be the best to vote for out of the 3.

I'm confused about the statement WoodNUFC made, especially after FenrisMoonlight's analysis. If FenrisMoonlight is correct, he may as well come out at this point.

Pluto never claimed it. WoodNUFC felt Pluto was hinting at it.
 
I'm sorry, maybe I'm missing the logic here: but the whole theory stands and falls with ravenvii being a Traitor. A player who we already put under pressure and who stated somewhat dubiously that it wouldn't be advisable to lynch him.

So we corner now every other player instead to see if ravenvii got saved untimely? That makes no sense. Even if woodNUFC is found out to be an imposter I would refuse to appreciate this approach. :D

And I highly doubt that actually. But anyway, let's wait what he has to say.

And yea, I'm mad at you too woodNUFC if you really are the vulture and just outed you like that! :D

I'd missed your post about lynching ravenvii if he didn't prove himself and thought that what WoodNUFC was claiming was unnecessary and odd - but your right if WoodNUFC is a traitor its likely ravenvii is (and vice versa). It could have been a random late vote and he's now trying to save his skin though.

Yea, I saw woodnufcs claim too, but was a) a bit mad :)D) and b) hoping that we probably don't have to put that into the wide open right now until ravenvii is tried again. Honestly, he's the common denominator. You don't lynch Sythas and woodnufc first to check if they or only one of them wanted to save ravenvii. Still don't understand why you and SilentPanda put so much emphasis on him instead of ravenvii.

Well, I'm off now, but beside this angle I have no good idea. costabunny disappeared as soon as she got suspected, but so would I do when playing my first game (no I wouldn't lol, but I can imagine people reacting that way).

Moyank is not one jota more suspect imho than Koodauw, ucfgrad93, roric, JimN, comeagain, philbeeney and nowadays costabunny. Aka players that commit to nothing - for whatever reason. Haven't heard a lot from scepticalscribe as well.
