That's always a risk, but at least this way they've had their chance for defense and can say "I told you so" or we can revel in our glory if they turn out to be a baddie and we weren't swayed. I just think it's fair for all that there's some chance for discussion as opposed to it being over as soon as the majority is reached. We all know there's nothing those lycans and vamps want more than to work us into a panic that leads to rash decisions and innocent deaths. :(

That and the fact that the vamps and werewolves are also trying to kill each other by using the villagers.

I don't care if the specials have a deadline. And I don't like the deadline for voting. When majority is reached, it should be done. Thats how it has been for the past 2 games.

I agree with this. If you start introducing timelines that have to be met, the game starts getting more complicated especially for those players in different time zones.

I think we should continue as is (simple majority reached = done), it wouldn't be fair to change the structure of the game as we're playing. I would like to see this possible change re-visited in the future though. I think this is one difference caused by playing the game live versus over a forum... a forum kind of lends itself for lengthy discussion.

As of right now, all we need is ravenvii's next story chapter so we can go on to night. This time I will have a house to sleep in, seeing as iBlue won't miss her's and mine is burned down.

Hey, I hope no one thinks I am trying to get away on a rule change or something. (I know I'm long gone.) It was just a comment/suggestion.

i think you are good :)

i also think that the eventual day deadline has some merits but should go to discussion for a next game, as it would effect the way the game is played.
On the other hand, the night time limit to PM the specials in could be implemented immediately as it doesn't affect any of the strategic aspects of the game, just avoids unnecessary lags.

It is a good suggestion and some of us agree that it would be a positive move for future games.

Seriously, this is too slow...

There has to be a better way. Last game drug on, but not because we were constantly waiting, it just took that long to whittle it down. This game is going to take a good month at this rate.

Totally agree, it would be nice if the game sped up a little bit. If I would've known it was going to take this long I might've just gone with the simple game instead :p

you mean the one which didn't even start yet? ;)

i think we have to live with the fact that ravenvii has a life too and cannot be on 24/7

edit: can the resident evil fellas please eat some of them pesky lolcatz? it's an infestation! :)

The reason the game is lagging now is because Ravenvii hasn't been online since the majority has been reached. We're waiting for him to get us started at the simple game.

Exactly.

The one that doesn't have so many specials that need to send him a PM :p

The famous party hostess iBlue was marched to the gallows. Her advertisements of an undead party finally became just too suspicious for the villagers to abide her any longer.

The noose was over iBlue's head before she was asked for her last words. "The party continues on -- the only difference is that I'm dead, too! LET'S PARTAY!" iBlue shouted before dropping.

After that outburst, the villagers fully expected iBlue to turn. However that did not come to pass.

iBlue is a villager.

17 remain. Will that number remain the same come morning?

iBlue's house is still there, so theoretically they could all just hang out there. But there would be no supervision. (I don't know if I trust the zombies enough)

Very true. While I was there in Zombia land she was pretty good at keeping us in line and would not let us off the property to go brain hunting. She was pretty mean with the broom.

I just thought of something that might help speed the game up. What if the specials Pm ravenvii after the voting reaches a majority so that when he logs on again he has some pm's already. That way after the majority vote was reached to lynch iBlue, specials who were online could have sent their pm's already (I think everybody except Tomorrow logged in since iBlue's lynching) and that would speed things up a lot.
To sum it all up:
1) Villagers vote and reach a majority
2) Specials start sending pm's to ravenvii
3) Ravenvii logs on, post's story of lynching, reads his pm's and might even be able to post the nighttime killings already.

This idea, I like. Thoughtful it is, mum.

one problem i see is that the identity of the lynched would likely affect at least some of the special's decisions.

also some of the special activities might affect the validity of the votes, for example if the hunter shoots someone by sending a PM to ravenvii at 11:00, and the shot person's vote was instrumental for a lynching, is the lynching valid? Should that person be considered dead as of 11 am (making him/her a real dead man walking, and the vote null) or when ravenvii posts it (delayed insta-kill)?
