Soda Springs, Idaho
August 5, 1843
The waters at Soda Springs were widely believed to have healing powers, with pioneers and Native Americans alike gathering at the grounds to drink, bathe, and rejuvenate in the bubbly pools. The stop could not have come sooner for the Kirksvillians. After nearly three months on the road, there wasn’t a body part amongst them that didn’t ache from exertion. Soaking in the warm waters sounded like heaven on earth, and the prospect had pushed them to reach the springs a full day earlier than expected.
Although the pools provided a welcome respite and a much-needed boost of morale, Charlotte’s murder had created a fissure of suspicion amongst the remaining ten that never fully dissipated. No one had spoken of her death since it happened, but it had changed them. Some hid their distrust better than others.
John Benton (Astroboy) thought he was alone when he finally made his way to the edge of the hot springs. It was nearing dusk, and he had waited until the others had bathed and left before shedding his dirty clothing and wading into the water. Unbeknownst to him, Telly “Rascal” Barnes (Plutonius) was high up in the trees meditating and had taken note of John’s presence. Rascal was a half-blood Osage Indian, and still observed some of the traditions of his mother’s people. He had also been gifted with remarkable eyesight – and what he saw caused him to slip from the trees and head back to camp fast with purpose.
He arrived to find the rest of the party eating jerky and drinking rum, buoyed by clean clothes and bodies. His voice was low and serious as he stood before them.
“John Benton killed Charlotte. We cannot travel any further with this man, lest we find knives in our own backs.”
Doc Robinson (Don’t panic) put his mug down and got to his feet.
“What inspires such an accusation, Telly?”
“I saw the man’s naked back. Covered in deep, healing scratches, bruises…the marks of a man who has engaged in a vicious struggle. And the match of a woman killed who sported blood caked fingernails.”
Nash spit on the ground and jumped up. “I knew it was that sour bastard! When I’m through with him, he will beg me for the sweet release of the afterlife!”
Young Ezra Sheppard (imaketouchtheme) grabbed Nash’s arm. “Wait. We can’t just slit the man’s throat. We’re not savages, we’re men.”
Doc Robinson stroked his chin in thought before conceding to Telly’s point. “It does seem odd the man would be sporting fresh wounds. We’ve had no incident.”
During the spirited discussion, no one had noticed Josiah (-aggie-) slip away from the camp. They noticed his return, though, as he dragged a naked and struggling John Benton to the fire. Josiah lifted John above the fire by his neck, burning his toes, and revealing his back for all to see. It was as Rascal described: scratched and bruised from neck to buttocks, the marks of a struggle unmistakable.
“Put me down or you’ll lose that arm! You all would believe a half-blood savage over me?! I’ve fed you all!”
Oliver Tull (TechGod) cracked his knuckles and approached the fire, sending his fist into John’s face and knocking him unconscious. Doc Robinson, Nash, and Telly all nodded their assent, and Josiah swiftly snapped the man’s neck. They unceremoniously dumped his body in the woods and gathered his possessions back into the wagons.
Clara poured everyone an extra thumb of rum that night; things would likely get harder from here on out.

So currently there is only one traitor. Are people known to use the infection after one is dead to replace the dead wolf? or do people go for a three team? Furthermore that begs the question that if astroboy was the alpha and if he hasn't used his infection then no more infection.
Due to my inexperience there still seems to be a lot missing but that could just be due to it only being night two and no one is hinting at being a special(for obvious reasons

The alpha WW usually holds off infecting until they are just about to be killed. There are exceptions though.
Well, it looks as though I misread this completely. That is what comes from living too long with a group of people, and thinking you know them, and might know what they are thinking, and then, you realise that you know very little after all.

Not really, if the seer doesnt get killed off, you know something is up.

With all due respect, I dont know if thats a mistake you would make unintentionally.
But the thing is if Astro by chance selects the seer for an infection then we wouldn't know any better . Obviously once the seer is revealed, the other wolf would have to either kill the seer or try and deflect votes which would be risky. If the seer is the only wolf left then he will have to lie his ass off

Nobody knows who the seer is which is why it's a good idea not to reveal if you are a special.
If you are the seer, you have to judge the best time to reveal your scan info (usually at the start of a day so you don't risk a WW attack at night). If you reveal too early, you have little scan info. If you reveal too late, you might be dead and not be able to reveal anything.
If Astro was the alpha WW, he would have had no idea who to infect.

I would not clear me at all based on the last turn. I have in past games voted for another WW with the first vote. I would put the others (more the last 3) who voted for Astroboy on the least suspects list.

Maybe twas just lust, but knowing him there was there some evil plan at play. And accomplishes. Yeah, he wain't alone in this. Mmmh.
And if he were the ringleader, he got all time in the world to recruit some other of the miscreants here in whatever messed up plot he was mixed up with.
Didn't lack the coin, that's for sure, and no arguiment is more convincing than silver....

That's why I said if Astro was alpha and randomly infected the seer without knowing.
We'll be initially looking for Astroboy Benton's pardner in those who tried to do old Pluto Barnes in, so if Benton was the boss, he would try to recruit among the other five.

What I actually found more interesting was the bandwagon that formed voting for you after I did - ravenvii, Scepticalscribe, and -aggie-. They all fit the criteria of knowing to eliminate Moyank24 early and make it look like Don't Panic did it, except for them all being n00bs, of course.
Sure looks like Abraham "the raven" and Sceptical Clara have some splainin to do, but also that lazy bum Harry "i'll do it tomorrow" Barlow and the new kid, whatshisname? the Touchy one.

Given the general lack of hygiene out here, any of you might already being incubating some foul illness, and I am myself not immune to that should a breakout occur in the future
two wolves started this game. a normal one, and the alpha one. the kamikaze was left out due to villager/ww ratio.
