Unfortunately, no. MR will provide live coverage though - go to macrumors.com when the event starts and you'll see pictures/text of what is going on. has been excellent in the past!

sad... But if I recalled correctly, last year had people doing the live streaming of the WWDC...

Can't wait!

I usually don't post but I'm so excited I can't help it! I personally think that the new iPhone and OS 3.0 won't be available until July just like last year. I really hope that it has a matte black finish or different color options. Just 2 hours to go!

I feel so exited and really hope to see some MacBooks with bigger hard drives and maybe a bit cheaper ..

The tech is defently there (in most countries)

Video chat mobile phones have been around for ages in many countries ..

first of all some people just think within the boardes of the US .. anyway video chat phones are huge in some areas of the world .. I live in one of them ..

for places where Video chat wont work on 3G , WiFi would do it ..

and remember EVERY WWDC have only released ONE product and some software ..

I beet a buck on that we will se

- Snow Leopard DEMO
- Introduction of iPhone V3/Video /3GS whatever ..
- Introduction of iChat for Windows (Quicktime, Safari and iTunes is already avaible on the Windows platforms so why not iChat)

Good luck with battery life on those video chats.

I wasn't talking about the networks. I was talking about a device that would be no larger than the iPhone and give you 3.5 hours of video chat on a charge.

Yes, they are going to announce a phone that captures and edits video, and even allow you to send it to friends. But if you are waiting for Apple to announce a phone that does video calls, or video chat, or whatever you want to call it, then you are going to have to wait a lot longer than 1 hour and 50 minutes to hear that.

And you can take that to the bank.

For whoever wants to watch WWDC live, here you go:

I got this link from @AppStoreMod on twitter

All of these various streams that people will come on and talk about will ultimately stop working during the keynote. I wouldn't even bother.

They say it's because the (cell) data connections inside Moscone can't take the traffic.

Best just to read along with a few different typed updates.

Just the "lighting" on the image, no?

Apparently it's not. It's a new icon.

One thing that occured to me: The Quicktime logo is very Aqua-esque in appearance. Could it be that they're trying to remove the blue?

3.0 will only be released to the old iPhone users when the new iphone comes out. Just like with 2.0 last year.

So you dont think the new Iphone will be at Stores today? I was at the Apple store yesterday buying a new keyboard (Coffee spilled) and I happened to inform the apple rep that my IPhone Screen Cracked and Coffee spilled on it (Next to Keyboard). He actually, said, well wait to tomorrow, you never know! His faced look a little like this ;). So, here's hoping that I can go back to the Apple store today and pick up this Iphone 3GS todayyyyyyyyyy boyyyyyyy!

Umm... like, every time? Steve always addresses availability, and his standard line is "and it's available... today". This is usually true for 7-8 out of 10 things they show off at a keynote, but occasionally it's "and it's available... MMDD", where MMDD is a date 2-4 weeks ahead.

The exception would be when he gives sneak previews of future OS X updates and such, but in the case of updates to downloadable software it's typically made available within hours of the announcement.

The iPhone wasn't available until the following month.
The iPod touch wasn't available for two week after.
The MB, MBP and MBA weren't available.
The iPhone 2.0 and the app store didn't come along until four months after the roadmap.
Even the newest iPod shuffle wasn't available at launch. Didn't show up in Apple stores for at least two weeks.

I think best case, iPhone 3.0 will be available for download today. Apple rarely, if ever, has products available the first day. Available for order, yes. But they can't trust the Apple Store employees to not snap shots of new, unannounced product shipments because they'll run here to post it.

lol a friend of mine last week was like

guess whatttttttttt i got an iphone

and i was like guess whattttttt a new ones coming next week he was like  f me

btw i hate it when ppl buy iPhones and dont even know what iTunes is ...

HAHA~! I had this experience recently too but luckily I had stopped my friend to purchase it.

And I believe that many will said why need iTunes to do all stuffs... They may think troublesome to use.

If there are no 240GB iPods, what's the point. :D

I didn't even think about iPods! Whether or not you were joking I'd certainly like to see a 240gb iPod at this event. But I haven't been following mini HDD sizes for a while.
An iPod that could almost hold my entire iTunes library (300gb), that would impress me :). Wonder if they will update iPods...

6pm GMT. Should be a good un.

•All Apps Are Up To Date•

I figured right before 3.0 is released we would see a flood of apps needing updating... (they have to configured for 3.0 right?)
Maybe it's safe to say we won't see 3.0 for a few more weeks... :(
God I hope it's out today!!

Gizmodo poses an excellent question.

Where was Kevin Rose this time around ? Did the Apple Mafia get to him ?

They need a tablet and to make the prices right, all MACBOOK PROS should have 4 cores, same prices, macbooks with Firewire, 2 cores, same price. Tablet, 2 cores, no firewire, $599, although I would rather see a 6 core PRO laptop and 3 core macbook and have the tablet with fireiwire for audio recording.
:D

That's a point. Developers still can't upload 3.0 apps.

3.0 being released today is almost nil therefore.
