wow

10:48AM "Because we've been able to make the batter bigger and because the A4 is so good, we've improved the battery life. 7 hours of 3G talk, 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of WiFi browsing, 10 hours of video, 40 hours of music..."

Battery life = AWESOME.
That will be the biggest selling point against Android. HTC battery life is abysmal.
Quadband HSDPA, bleah. No T-Mo, no CDMA. Keep hoping for another phone version later this year.

the dual mics alone is worth it for me, literally.

I'm not one of those loudtalkers so this will stop people from "What?"ing me.

Gizmodo has an audio feed up now. It's a little scratchy but it's nice to hear Steve's soothing voice.

Damn - up to 32 GB. :( That means $300 min to upgrade, was kinda hoping it'd take the place of the current 16 GB. $200 would have been more tempting.

Agree the battery life would probably be the biggest plus of upgrading.

Are people happy with only up to 32GB? That would do me fine tbh.:D
Did he say up to 32GB? Or 32GB?
More memory for same price would be awesome. 32GB is plenty these days where everything is streamed from the network. Unless of course your stuck with no coverage AT&T and its 2GB limit.

Bigger battery plus A4 processor, 40% more talk time. 7 hours talk time. 6 hours of 3G browsing, 10 hours of WiFi browsing, 10 hours of video. 40 hours of music. 300 hours of standby.

Lol. That's Apple time. If its anything like their Laptop battery times it will realistically look more like this:

Bigger battery plus A4 processor, 20% more talk time. 5 hours talk time. 2.5 hours of 3G browsing, 6 hours of WiFi browsing, 4 hours of video. 15 hours of music. 200 hours of standby.....for the first 2 months you own your phone.

After that all rates will plummet....It's still a nice phone though.

New gyroscope could be cool. Certainly different. I wonder how it really works. Normal gyros have a motor and something spinning. Can't work that way on the iPhone.

i bought the 32 last year and it's not even 1/2 full (heck.... i don't think it's even 1/4 full???) i wouldn't spend the extra money on the bigger storage agarin...

Taking lunch was worth it.

The iPhone update looks good but irrelevant to me. There's probably only enough space to solder on one 256 Gb chip for memory.

Uhoh. Only 5mp camera. I agree with steve that MP stats arent as important as how good the picture is.... but with all the top Android phones having 8MP, the average consumer will see this as a negative for the iPhone.

at least he understands that packing pixels does NOT equal image quality.

not referencing the above poster.

but one thing I will reference from above is that consumer only sees pixel count. though it may be changing as the general consumer becomes more educated about it

5mp Camera, backside illuminated sensor,1.75 micron pixel size in sensor 5x digital zoom in camera app and tap to focus with LED flash 720P 30fps recording Video HOLY CRAP!

Predictions/leak info seems spot on so far. 720p @ 30FPS in your pocket is nice.

Blu-Ray recorder in future Macs to utilise this 720P footage Steve?

HTC EVO might be able to beat it with the extended battery from Sedio. One should also remember that with HTC phones one can have as many batteries as you want.
