No they didnt. The only somewhat developer focused portion was at the very end, where they wizzed by a callback function with concurrent processes.
Haha, yeah I agree. I'm not normally one of those getting p***ed about WWDC keynotes, but this was pretty low information. I'm curious about Xcode Cloud, and obviously the concurrency stuff you mentioned, but overall this felt 100% like a consumer event, not a dev one.
Hopefully we'll get some interesting info from the session videos this week.

I'm willing to bet the majority of people here complaining saying this keynote was boring are not real iOS/iPadOS/MacOS Developers. A true developer isn't here to be entertained. They are running a business to make money and are interested in getting their apps updated for the newly added functions in these OS's.

Was it just me who found this the most boring keynote I’ve ever watched? I was struggling to stay awake.

Also it’s just so annoying they have like 50 presenters, it’s unnecessary. Apple is just becoming too woke these days.
There were no “wow” features (except for Universal Control), but there are a lot of small improvements across iOS, iPadOS WatchOS, and macOS.

Live Text looked to be the only thing that I would make use of. Maybe Universal Control for using side-by-side Macs.

What bugs me more than the lack of anything exciting, was the feeling of "feature creep" entering all the products. Adding new features just for the sake of adding new features only creates complexity without benefit.

I’d kill for new 14” MBP as my 16” MBP is always on FIRE whenever connected to the external display I can’t live without… and here I am left with more prolonged waiting time

I thought there were some interesting software announcements, New Safari looks interesting and so does the new macOS and its ability to work with the iPad. I'm not a developer but Xcode iCloud sounds like it could be great for anyone who wants to start a software company from the ground up.
Unsurprisingly there were no hardware announcements despite the rumours people insisting that it would happen. I'm a little bummed out that they didn't announce a new 16-inch Macbook Pro but a part of me always suspected that it wouldn't happen. Maybe it will indeed happen later in the year around October.

I’m a developer and wasn’t watching for hardware, but it was easily, by a considerable margin, the most underwhelming WWDC I have watched in 20 years.
An absolute snooze-fest!
I'm not overwhelmed by most of the announcements; and I likely missed the nuance on a lot of them. But considering it was a taped event that last 90+ mins, they had to have introduced a lot of new features. But without the applause, everything moved very quickly. There was little time for absorption or reflection. I may need to watch again to really see everything that happened.

So annoyed I don't get to throw away hours of worked for cash for a new Apple thing....grrrrrr.

Now I'm going to just be a pill because for some reason I had high expectations from Apple, who could give zero bothers about me or my expectations.

At least we get a potential new Windows in a few weeks.

Well developers can't make money without customers buying into Apple's new products so the events have to be somewhat consumer-focused. That should be well understood.
