I mean when you interact with the headset. Who knows how well the gestures will work in the real world.Who is flailing their arms to watch a movie? If anything this results in so much more space, so many fewer laptops coming out, or traytables going down. We just put on our headsets, lean back and enjoy high quality in flight entertainment!
So what's the software going to be called, VisionOS?
Because you are totally out of touch with your environment, when wearing this. Your eyes do not get natural lighting and framerate, instead you look into a kind of torch with artificial colors etc.Me? I don't understand how it's more cumbersome than carrying around a phone and headphones, and a laptop, and several external displays, oh and wearing glasses and usually a hat already. And my TV. It's literally an everything device. Seriously I almost always have headphones, a hat and glasses on, now I don't have to carry other devices as well, just wear some super glasses. Of course this version is far from the mature, idealized version, but I really don't understand how/why it's so hard to imagine wearing a set of glasses barely more bulky than decent over ear headphones
Remember how the original iPhone was introduced at $499 for a ridiculously gimped 4 GB model and then dropped it in favour of the 8 GB model at a much lower – from its original $599 price – $399?Remember when the iPad was rumored to be $999 and it was $499?
This was rumored to be $2999 and it's $3499. NOPE.
Yeah, he might be more accurate if he predicts things that have already been announced 😆Wonder if Gurman is watching this
Well that's $4700+ Canadian - no it doesn't make sense or cents!Ok, $3499 actually seems reasonable for what it offers. Damn. In hindsight, the price makes sense.
Humble brag. Here in Finland, avarage salary is around 3000 euros.Yeah no way in hell I an getting half my monthly pension income enjoy rich people LOL
and a loner product...May be the case but it is doomed to fail - only a certain group of consumers are going to be able to afford it. If people have $3500 to spent on tech the priority for most would be a new Mac or big TV, not something like this which is very much a luxury product.
Sooo extremely un-healthy, sitting together and communicating through this thing. And you will have to buy two if you are in a healthy relationship and don’t want to turn into a lonely isolated person
People going crazy about the price saying it will fail. Apple announced a new Mac Pro which cost more. The Mac Pro hasn’t failed. Why? Because despite the cost people buy it. They don’t need to sell loads of them to make money. The profit margins are high.
Sure, but the Mac Pro has an industrial purpose. This is like buying a mac pro for Netflix.People going crazy about the price saying it will fail. Apple announced a new Mac Pro which cost more. Apple is really out of touch with reality. Nobody would use this more than a day even if given for free, let alone pay $3500 for the privilege. The ad proves it. Someone who wants to watch a movie would simply turn on the Apple TV. The designer would simply use a MacBook connected to a large display and an Apple Pencil. Someone who's packing their suitcase would simply answer their iPhone call by tapping their AirPods. The Vision Pro is a failed attempt to fix a problem or unfulfilled need that doesn't exist.
