new phones next week, sweet. I'll probably wait for a bit as my 3G is still pretty sweet.

I have to agree. I think the upgrades are great, but it's not a quantum leap. I think I'll be sticking with my 3G for a while. Silly as it seems, I would have been more willing to upgrade now if they had come out with a new design.

If O2 don't make it available as an early upgrade, I hope they offer it PAYG - could do to get hold of one these new beasties for testing our apps on...

As above O2 will replace my 1st gen with a 3g for nowt so i'm hoping for an upgrade to 3gs for under £100

not how that worked with the launch of the 3G.

The original iPhone was NOT carrier subsidised - from 3G it was. Those bought iPhone didn't need to conclude their contracts because the carrier had not subsidised them.

OK, time to find out how much damage these notebooks will do to my pocket in the UK.

EDIT: Education store is up with lower prices.

Pretty underwhelmed with the 3GS. I was expecting there a completely new iPhone...new form factor, OLED screen, 3.2 camera...I don't recall seeing anything on RAM or CPU upgrades. Disappointing.

But on the other hand, I'll be swinging for the 32GB as soon as it's possible for me to do so.
