Yeah why ask the question if he’s confident it’s coming…. Tbh though I think everyone is having last minute doubts at this point 😂Because he put a poll up on his Twitter...?
Posting in a speculation thread is one thing. Dreaming about the unveiling is... quite interesting, though! Is it.. all of us here posting in a speculation thread on an online tech forum?
I hope you're wrong, but it unfortunately really does look like there won't be any hardware announced. I might be wrong as well, though, but the chances are very slim to zero now.looks like no hardware at wwdc
Crap....
Yeah 100% October or November, won’t be later this month as too close to WWDC, doubt it will be next month as an August launch is when many are on holiday (vacation) plus it’s too close to the iPhone event. No hardware at WWDC would be a major disappointment. Apple has been riding the nostalgia train later, so when would be the best time to announce new pro hardware than WWDC? If they don’t mention anything at all, it means November at earliest.
yep definitely, even digitimes said late 2021Yeah 100% October or November, won’t be later this month as too close to WWDC, doubt it will be next month as an August launch is when many are on holiday (vacation) plus it’s too close to the iPhone event.
I expect a Mac event in October announcing:
MacBook Pro M1X
iMac Pro M1X
Digitimes are wrong a lot of the time…yep definitely, even digitimes said late 2021
I doubt itSo if new MBPs are that far off will there be one more Intel refresh?
I expect a Mac event in October announcing:
MacBook Pro M1X
iMac Pro M1X
If nothing at WWDC.
Yeah, only upsides to these not releasing until Oct-Nov would be that the chipset inside would almost certainly be M2-based (N5P microarchitecture) and they'd almost certainly have miniLED screens. An M1-based chip in October would be extremely underwhelming. Intel and AMD are supposed to release refreshed chips later this year and M1 in a pro device would look like a joke. If they are indeed delaying pro hardware to autumn, it better be something absolutely spectacular.
Counter-argument: that's just a guise to give a mask of plausible deniability ie. "In my dream..."REMEMBER… love to dream saying ‘I feel no’ could be just his own opinion, he hasn’t really leaked anything about an upcoming MacBook Pro at all… there is still a slim chance here, Apple may have just kept a lid on leaks extremely well this time round.
I still wonder how they are going to replace all macs with Apple silicon in 2 years' time if they don't announce new hardware halfway. Just going over the models:I hope you're wrong, but it unfortunately really does look like there won't be any hardware announced. I might be wrong as well, though, but the chances are very slim to zero now.
Been there, not doing that anymore!Come to the Southern Hemisphere - your MacBooks will keep you warm during the winter![]()
It makes really no sense what you are saying. The next MacBooks will be most probably redesignedDigitimes are wrong a lot of the time…
IF and I stress IF we get hardware at WWDC, I fully expect no redesign and literally just an overview of the new chip and that it’s going in the current high end 13” and 16” models.
That will make sense as the whole MBP line up will still maintain the same design language.
I think the redesign MacBooks are all coming next year tbh, starting with the low end MBA and MBP with M2.
It makes really no sense what you are saying. The next MacBooks will be most probably redesigned
Well maybe this time it will have proven a bit ambitious. The chip shortages may not have been anticipated. They may not have appreciated all the challenges with designing more of the hardware used themselves etc.I still wonder how they are going to replace all macs with Apple silicon in 2 years' time if they don't announce new hardware halfway.
