Sooooo…. If no MBP announced tomorrow do you think it is wise to pull the trigger on the current 13” M1 MBP?

That’s what my plan is at the moment as quite a few discounts on it here in the UK
I'm asking myself the same thing. I have an incentive to order in June. But if it's fairly certain the 14" with 32GB or more would be launched in, say, September, I'd be kicking myself if I ordered the current 13" M1 with 16GB RAM.

Ok this is weird all the Apple executives on twitter changed their profile pics to memojis but they are in front a laptop.

That’s gotta be to do with iMessage becoming a social network… all of them having Memoji as a profile image on a social network after its rumoured apple want iMessage as a social network…

I have a feeling WWDC is going to be very focused on this looking at all of the advertisement material.

Myself and many others are pretty certain that if it’s not announced today they’re not coming until late this year… but who knows.

OMG had dream last night… Tim revealed the MacBook Pro, a video plays showing all the ports, the new redesign, a glowing apple logo, the keyboard with no Touch Bar, then the camera zoomed out and shown…

WHITE BEZELS 💩

This is pretty HUGE. It would be a MASSIVE misfire to change the profile pics of three prominent Apple executives and DELIBERATELY show them in front of MacBooks in each pic before an event with no MacBooks announced. It’s not beyond the pale that someone screwed up and wasn’t thinking, but that would be VERY unlike Apple.

Hardware is coming.

I have a feeling the Memoji thing is going to be a huge let down. Maybe they’ll announce new facial features or something for the teenage set.

My minimum requirement for upgrading my MBP16 to an Apple Silicon 14" would be:
1) 2nd generation core architecture ("M2" or whatever they call it) - expecting improvements in single-core and multi-core performance per core
2) 8 performance cores
3) Ability to specify 32GB RAM
4) GPU performance similar or better than an AMD 5600M in top-end Intel MBP16
GPU isn't a big issue to me since I have a gaming desktop.. My work is usually done via shell or web app :D

I expect some changes regarding colors to match the styles of the new m1 devices. As they are pro devices, I don’t expect to be offered in several colors like the iMac. But a full black one and a grey/white combination could be possible, what do you think?

As someone pointed out in another thread, the store hasn’t gone down yet, bad sign for hardware hopes?

Store usually goes down about 4-6 hours beforehand approx. So if it’s not down in the next 3-4 hours I doubt any hardware is coming.

well if the store does not go down at around 4:00amPT, no hardware then
I very much doubt it, just edited my time scale post it normally goes down between 4 and 6 hours before an event, so it should be down in the next 3-4 hours if hardware is being launched.

I might be wrong but it’s a good indicator

Man, I'd love a Silver MBP with 'light grey' (iMac color) bezels and a white keyboard. But I think these will still come with black borders/keys and the design I described will be reserved for the M2 MBAs in the Fall/Spring.

A quick bit of sleuthing revealed the store went down around 5am US Pacific time ahead of WWDC 2017, so I'd say that's the 'moment of truth'. This morning I have a bit of a sinking feeling that it's not itshappening.gif :(

Cool so anytime until an hour beforehand 👍
