WWDC: Snow Leopard (10A380), More iPhone Evidence, Live Coverage

Tough call. Either way, nothing ventured, nothing gained. The worst case scenario, you can't exchange it. If you have another SIM card phone you can use before the new ones are released, go for it and wait it out. Good luck :).

TBO, I expect this build to be seeded on the dev site, maybe instantaneously, or a day or two later.
The "virgin" beta release of a major new release, is something Apple likes to give to the WWDC attendees, to give them some sort of present, but as a serious build to develop your apps on, it hardly is the most important release.

But, introducing new features, a new GUI, etc. only a few months (or maybe even weeks) before the GM, must be given to developers who can't physically attend the WWDC.

OTOH, I am not Think Different ATM, now am I... :eek:

Not happening. For the past two years they were released on Fridays, I suspect it will be released on the 2nd or 3rd friday of July. I hope I'm wrong though...
 
I don't enjoy that the OS X artwork and packaging is seemingly unchanged since the original Leopard. I know that they're not emphasizing features, but it makes it seem less exciting.

you guys expect too much and read too much into things that may or may not exist. you want ballons and lens flare all over the place on the banners? how about steve jobs with a superhero body bursting through the banner yelling, "OH YEA! SNOW LEOPARD! COME GET SOME!" :rolleyes:

...also, apple has expressed time and time again - a netbook is not in apples best interest. the tablet in '10 is where i am putting my money on. :apple:

I read somewhere that Apple has "Cougar" registered as a trademark or copyrighted or something.

Yeah, that's what I figured (and of course I'm out of town/country for the first two weeks of July...)

As I said...best of times, worst of times! If I want to be greedy...I mean anal...I mean prudent...I will want the biggest and best...and have to wait and maneuver.

But I so want to to go all Veruca Salt...
 
Damn Apple is being hit on all fronts; Zune HD, Windows 7, Palm Pre. They need to answer back or they are finished.
 
Im hoping theres a lot more about SL than the new iPhone. Unfortunately i dont think that will be the case.

note that in this image you also see (5 "3g iPhones") as well, the first with no size or description as well that looks like this: Apple-iPhone 3G

with the new iPhone you see: Apple-iPhone 2009 (NTB) "(NTB)" more then likely meaning its not in stock or yet to be announced...

so i wouldn't get your hopes up for a 4gb model of this iPhone its just not going to happen the iPhone is already same in price in consideration to other "smart pda phones" i doubt they will make a cheaper model because they would loose money in parts,labor,shipping and advertising to make one . most people are also looking to save $$ in general and would go for the cheaper version which would lose sales for the larger more pricey models that are going to be released ..:apple::apple:

I believe Lynx was also trademarked by Apple.

who cares about SL, it will be out when it has to be out. Iphone i the most important thing right now for WWDC. SL should get released later this year.

Palm pre is beating iphone right now with their features and apple HAVE to answer them with their new iphone!!!

I think that is the problem. The major gripe among Apple fans who have been apple fans there whole life is that it's ALWAYS about the iPhone now. 80% of the rumors everyday are iPhone based. Apple changed there name from Apple Computer Inc. to Apple Inc. They are no longer focused on the industry they started as (whether true or not, that is how it seems) so lots of people care about Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard is a developers dream OS (maybe?). Windows 7 is a major leap from Vista, but Apple shouldn't be worried about that right?! Because that's just microsoft anyways??

No! I hope they give a lot of time to Snow Leopard because I am really interested to see what kind of advancements they have made in that. And they should be worried about Windows 7 and microsoft. They still own the market.
