I am a current xfinity customer but I made the decision to buy mine straight form Apple. Mine is out for delivery out of Rockford. I just hope xfinity doesnt give me a hard time adding this phone to my existing line.

As far as I know, you should be able to just pop the SIM in and go.

If you look at their FAQ's, you are only allowed to upgrade phones on a existing line if you buy the phone from them. I seen this after I ordered. I called them and I was told they could work around this. So fingers crossed.

If tracking says delivery today you should be fine. I think there are different routes with different departure times and the inbound trucks are all synced to the cadence at the local facility.

If it was me I would do this, in this order.
  1. Just take my existing SIM and put it in. Try to set up the phone.
  2. Go to the Xfinity website (or app) and use the (+) under devices to manually add the phone by IMEI.
  3. .

  6. .
  7. .
  8. .
  9. .
  10. Go to an Xfinity brick and mortar store.
  11. Call Xfinity to try to sort it out. This would be my absolute last option.

it’s now out for delivery. left a note to leave if not home on the app as well as my door has a note attached to it. hoping they leave it

Still nothing here. I got my order in a 5:10 am PDT. No FedEx, no device details, and the pending charge is gone. I'm really sad. I think they might've had an issue with my card, but no contact to ask or fix. Frustrating.
 
I spoke just barely too soon. I just got an email from Xfinity about how they had a delayed shipment and some orders are delayed and will arrive Monday instead.

Join the club. Mine shipped yesterday with the 2 Day shipping option. Most everyone is getting theirs today. I've never in the history of owning an iPhone got mine after launch day. I've ordered on AT&T, Verizon, and Apple.com.
 
Like alot of yall, I ordered on the first day of pre-order, and have not recevied any notifications since. Until this morning.

In the body it references order #321189802, thats not my name or my order number. So I contacted Xfinity support, we told all orders are being delayed and all customers will be notified, no reason given.

That isn’t true. I bought a used iPhone X unlocked my buddy bought from Apple and popped the Xfinity Mobile SIM in with zero issues.
 
I got the email today that said, Hi Brian (I'm not Brian) Your order has been delayed. You should receive it Monday via overnight delivery. Great, I have to arrange for someone to be here Monday. I'm only home on weekends and arranged to be home today. Major failure! I like the phone service but must admit Xfinity fails when it comes to making customers sit at home and wait, both for service technicians and now, apparently equipment deliveries.

Previously, I bought a replacement phone at the Apple Store. The first phone, being replaced, I had brought to Xfinity from another carrier. We just put our old SIM card in and it worked fine. I tried to add it via their website and in their store, they were unable to do it. They said you couldn't have two Bring Your Own Phones. So, the website still lists the wrong phone but the phone functions correctly.

Mine was just delivered. iOS 14.1 so I have to update to 14.2 beta to restore my backup. Nice so far, feels more substantial with the flat edges coming from an iPhone X. The bigger screen is noticeable--not an enormous difference but noticeable.

mine just got delivered. good thing i answered my doorbell camera the lady was about to put a door tag up despite my letter saying please leave it

Mine is still at the destination facility awaiting departure on the delivery truck. It's not really 'late' since delivery isn't promised before 8 PM but it seems odd that it's just been there since before 8:00. Maybe an afternoon route.

edit: and now just a few minutes later I get the notification that it's out for delivery. FedEx, are you watching me? :)

I ordered a silver/12 Pro/512 within minutes of it being available for preorder on Xfinity and have not gotten any notifications today, via email or in my account. I received confirmation emails right after the preorder and the charge shows under orders on my account. Are there other folks that have not gotten anything yet, but preordered right at the beginning?
 
Just had my package delivered. Weird deal. It was delivered by someone in a U-Haul truck and they just put the box in my mailbox. That is a first for me.

Put in the sim, did setup and it works. I am going to leave it alone. I dont care what phone it shows in the portal.
