Finally, one of my 2 orders shows iphone 12 pro on the device list. It happened overnight.

Question regarding $250 Visa Debit card: What are the limitations? I signed up for monthly payments. Can I use it towards the payment on the phone?

When I joined Xfinity mobile I got a $50 card for bringing my own device. I went into my wife's account the other day which we are making payments on and it looks like you can make extra payments via credit card so it should work. That's my plan too... if it works. Not sure if it'll reduce the monthly payment or duration of payments.

Thanks! I doubt that it reduce the monthly payments.

It does not, it takes the payments off the back end. I wouldn’t recommend for those who would potentially want to upgrade next year, as you can trade in after it’s halfway paid. I’ve done it both ways, traded in after a year and paid off my phone to sell it myself (which is a huge pain nowadays). I paid mine off this year just to be sure I got the new phone I wanted (trade in upgrades can only be done in store). Hopefully in a year they’ll have figured out mail in trade ins.

I know this is off topic but it is an interesting fulfillment data point. The 12.9” iPad Pro came in stock today at Xfinity and I decided to order one. Within about 15 minutes of the order tracking was showing up in FedEx. I got a shipping email from Xfinity shortly thereafter. The package was picked up and is being delivered Thursday.

Apparently they can move very fast when they want to.

I'm thinking of jumping ship from T-Mobile to Xfinity as I already have Xfinity internet. How do you guys like the service? Xfinity has been emailing me offers and I'm tempted to make the jump.

I switched from T-Mobile last year and couldn't be happier. Not only about the price being cheaper but the service is much better.
Was getting two bars on my phone on a good day with T-Mobile now it's four bars and never a dropout or static like before. Xfinity uses Verizon cell towers.
Customer service is also better.

My account finally has the 12 Pro listed in my devices, but no shipment yet. Not surprising given it’s not due to arrive until the 4th.

As horrendous as Comcast are, I do have to say that I like their cellular service. The plans are low, which means I can pay for a device and service for just a hair over what I would pay for service alone on some carriers, and the $250 VISA card back in three months is a great deal.

Just saw your post after I posted above... I was in the same spot.. I was paying $70 for T-Mobile while owning my device. I get better coverage in parking ramps and underground with Xfinity Mobile since it uses Verizon’s network. The price can’t be beat.

I think it’s been solid. There’s no contract so give it a shot and you can always go back if you want to. Or if you have a phone with an eSIM, move your TMo line to that and add Xfinity as the second line as a trial.

I mean it makes sense that they would be able to ship a device that’s low demand quickly when it’s in stock, right? I feel like most people shopping for iPads want the air right now.

Off topic, but I knew someone who gawk at iPad Prices, I was like wtf are you talking about? I found out that she assumes the iPad Pros are the only good iPads out there. I pointed her in the direction of the iPad 7th gen and the Air 3 at the time. Told her they're both pretty solid devices for your kids. Told her my recommendations, One got the Air 3, and the other got the mid storage 7th gen model. Both were satisfied with them.

Yea I feel like most people don’t understand the differences between the models, and Apple just makes it more confusing by not giving them different numbers like iPhones. A “regular” iPad whatever generation is fine for most people. Personally I have an iPad Air 2 that collects dust because I use my phone for everything.

are folks still experiencing delays in getting their devices from preorder day?

I’m considering buying my device from Xfinity in the coming days but shipping estimates are whack and 4+ weeks for the Pro.

I ordered my 12 pro on Oct. 18th @ 7.00 AM, was given the delivery date as November 25th to Dec 2nd.
Mine is the gold if that makes any difference.
I had to call a couple days later to cancel the insurance and the CSR was simply amazed at how far out the delivery dates are.

i love it been with them for all most a year now

I am considering it, as it would be a savings for me over the AT&T shared plan I have now. But I am worried about Verizon de-prioritizing Xfinity Mobile users in favor of their own users. Maybe less of a concern with the pandemic and fewer people out and about, but has anyone experienced that?

The Pros have all been out of stock as well. I caught my order right after they put them back into inventory at Xfinity. I figured it would take at least a full day to process and ship but was pleasantly surprised. It’s actually already here locally but FexEx isn’t delivering it today because “it’s not due for delivery” until tomorrow.

I just got a notification from FedEx that my Pro will be here on Friday, and I preordered within minutes of it going live. Nothing from Xfinity yet.

I am interested to know about pre ordering with them. Do you have to pre order from them or can you do with Apple like with other carriers? And do they do monthly installments and trade in after a year? I uograde every year and no way I am waiting weeks after for a slow pre order process..(I am a snob like
That) lol I see they throttle you after 20gb. Is it super slow? I use 50gb a month.

Preorder was ultimately very smooth for me. I ordered a Pro when preorder started. I didn’t get a lot of communication or updates from Xfinity but the phone showed up on launch day and it’s been all good so far.

I don’t know how slow the throttled speeds are. Xfinity is my secondary line so I don’t use much data.
