Android is Android, but at least has better specs than the Note 7, costs half the price, and shouldn't explode.
I wouldn't count on that for any cheap Chinese product.

Resorting to insults because you don't like the truth?
I'll rephrase for you. 95% of Android phones suffer from the points I listed. Except for the inferior Apps which obviously affects all Android phones.
But it's just nice to have choices that have different strengths and weaknesses form each other. As pointed out in the video posted by @djcerla, Xiaomi has to cut corners to meet that price point. The corner they cut was build quality, single frame vs double. Basically it comes down to choice and every one doesn't choose based on price or specs.
You're being dishonest AGAIN. Please refrain from lying. Nobody insulted anyone here (although you could argue that forum readers are being insulted here with your dishonest comments)
Point still stands; you're dishonest about Android phones, your blanket statements are wildly exaggerated and iPhone phones suffer from similar problems as well.

Only person being dishonest here is you by pretending the issues I listed aren't serious on Android. Especially security updates, where Android is an absolute complete and utter joke compared to iOS.
Competition is getting good, Apple. Series 4 of iPhone 6 next year? Better hope not.
All new design 2017 in 4 inch, 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch sizes.
You make it sound like ALL Android phones are like that. Too bad your dishonest.
Are you really saying that some Android phones have better Apps?
That some Android phones have access to a Play Store without malware and the rest has malware?
This is insane!
Not criticizing android, I have been using apple phones for quite some time and like they way they function and their reliability. I personally prefer them to android but see nothing wrong with android. If indeed I could have bought a Note 7 with IOS on it I would as I think there are a lot better options for phones other than apple, but one again I like the reliability of IOS even if it is not as customizable as Andriod.Does an OS that gives you options without having to need a jailbreak really turn you off that much or is this just another form of baseless criticism if only to prop up Apple?
Oh here we go again with the trash talk of Android and propping up iOS. Yeah, go on... praise iOS... what with it's lack of a filebrowser, walled garden, etc. Yeah, really great there.
You know I won't deny that sh*t happens with Android, but it does so too on iOS. Don't pretend like your precious phone isn't prone to drawbacks. Also, it's pretty disturbing seeing someone so devoted to a corporate BRAND.

You're right that things happen on iOS and Android.
Next year available in matte black and gloss black by any chance?
It's 7.25mm thick, thinner than an iPhone 7+
Uh... You misunderstand. Choice in the marketplace, not choice from a certain manufacturer. If Apple only wants to sell me one option, that's fine because the marketplace has loads of other perfectly good options.Choice; something Apple is VERY uncomfortable with.
Ultimately it serves consumers really well though.
The use of ad-Homs is actually what's embarrassing.Stop fear-mongering. This tactic by so many iPhone apologists has been done countless times before and it's pretty embarrassing.
Thanks for coming clean. End of discussion.
Thanks for ignoring my main point.
Android is a complete joke when it comes to updates. Since you need fast updates to deal with security issues, that also means Android is a complete joke for security.
My Nexus phone says otherwise (as do many other phones). But hey, keep up the fear-mongering.
You must be in the market for cars with square shaped driving wheels and probably the steering as well. Change for the sake of change, there you have it, square driving wheels for a car. If they don't exist, it's a market opportunity to start a wheel business, with you as the customer.Competition is getting good, Apple. Series 4 of iPhone 6 next year? Better hope not.

From the history of Android phones, extra battery size does not translate to better life compared comparable iPhones. Android, outsourced SOC or H/W is a poor recipe for good battery life. That's why iPhones in general have better battery life than comparable Android phones with far bigger battery size. Android business model does not lend itself to hardware and software optimization. It does sound interesting. Phone is 8mm vs 7.3mm for the iP7+. An extra ±900 mAh of battery capacity will make it thicker. Personally, I'd take an extra 0.7mm of thickness and ±900mAh every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
For what, exactly?
Gee, I already stated above that Nexus gets updates. Why do you need to repeat what I already said?
Too bad the other 95% of Android users don't get updates. My buddy has a Note 5. Took 7 months for him to get Marshmallow. You think that's acceptable for someone who paid $800 for Samsungs top flagship to wait that long for an update? Keep wearing a brave face for the cesspool that is the Android update mechanism. Maybe you can even fool some people into thinking it's all OK.
My quote is about the thinness vs extra battery capacity, not about Android vs iPhone. There's no question that regardless of the ecosystem, I would take an extra 900 mAh of capacity over 0.7mm of thickness. That difference in thickness is barely noticeable, but the extra capacity would be very noticeable. From the history of Android phones, extra battery size does not translate to better life compared comparable iPhones.
