And Apple never copy anything? https://www.macrumors.com/2019/07/05/apple-foldable-ipad-with-5g/
Have they ever invented anything on their own or do they just copy everything other people do?
Definitely. Of course Apple is notoriously closemouthed about R&D activities, but in 2011 Samsung proudly announced they had made a prototype folding phone. But for “real commercialization” another one to two years of R&D would be necessary. And where is the connection between Apple “allegedly” making a foldable iPad, and copying... anything? Firstly, no company has released a foldable screen device yet. Previews have happened but nothing is in the shops.
And secondly, do you realise how long it would take to design such a device? Probably years. Ideas, prototypes, refinement, more ideas, more prototypes, more refinement, and so on.
But you seem to allege that Apple have the photocopiers running due to a couple of companies showcasing foldable devices only a few months ago. I don’t think you understand how much R&D and time would go into designing such a device, particularly as what has been shown earlier this year look terrible and are highly likely to break.
I’m sure that if Apple is working on a foldable iPad or other sized device, then they’ve been doing so for a long time, and really have no need to take inspiration from what was poorly previewed recently...
Whose economy? This has to stop. This really hurts the economy.
No lawsuits will happen, correct. No lawsuit. That won't happen.
As far as quality is concerned, I'm all for copying best practice and then implementing them. If Xiaomi is Apple's copycats then it's for the better. I wish Samsung and Sony copied some facets of Apple "Magic" that, in turn, would copy Samsung's and Sony's inventions and blend them with Apple's fine touch philosophy. If indeed Xiaomi is capable of doing so, I applaud and am ready to become their customer.
That’s not it at all. China offers nearly zero protections for intellectual property rights. That is quite possibly the biggest trade issue we have with them. Oh, and tariffs will never fix the IP issue....Apple don’t care about the Chinese companies operating in China/Asia. This is why they never sue them.
Why are Chinese companies so lazy they can’t design their own stuff.

Your right.
Why are people surprised when production of everything is sent offshore and then the people in those countries learn from that and apply that knowledge to their own products? That's not lazeness. It's an incredibly sensible way to build your economy.
What is the end of the world other than that itself?
Such a nonsense take.
It's not about being lazy. It's simply a cultural thing, that they don't think it's wrong, neither morally nor legally, to infringe on other's works. Similar to how many people on social media feeling it's okay to just copy paste or use works of art (pictures, music, etc) without proper credits, but this is on a much larger scale. Why are Chinese companies so lazy they can’t design their own stuff.
Why are people even bothering about these cheap Apple Comics?Patent lawyers ready to cash in again!
Baloney!Make Memoji Great Again!

More like the Chinese government more often sided with local companies than foreign companies. It's a protectionism thing, common in other countries as well when there are disputes between a local and foreign entity.Except that Apple cannot possibly win if the trial goes in a Chinese judicial court. China's government loves and defends its culture of copyright theft.
I guess this is what people say when they don’t know what to comment.I guess this is what people say when they can't find a way to spin something against Apple.
Well, it's the same cycle of progression we have seen before.Ah.. China doing what it does best !
heh.. the Chinese govt does the same stuff:More like the Chinese government more often sided with local companies than foreign companies. It's a protectionism thing, common in other countries as well when there are disputes between a local and foreign entity.
It’s dumb to boil everything down to “not the end of the world” which is one reason why a lot of idioms are stupid. Its an expression. A US English idiom. Are you ok?
