I've learned this in the past already lol and gave up trying to find one that matches the demos.

Mine isn't far off from the four 7 units i compared mine to. But close no cigar is the ole expression haha. I'm happy enough with my 32 to ride it out

same here, mine isn't piss yellow its just like a off white. The display settings makes me completely happy though so ill keep mine. No hissing, best battery ever for me, no scratches, no yellow blobs, no LTE/wifi issues. Plus I HATE going to the apple store.

Me too. I'd be ok with never going back if I could Haha.

Part of my ego likes that I gave apple the minimum amount to be in on the 7 going with base model. Even tho minimum amount is still healthy profit as an understatement and way more than no Amount :p

Do you get a new 14 day return window with each exchange? Wouldn't this be optimal in case you get a Genius who refuses to exchange if you're outside that window?
New 14 day. Geniuses don't ring you up, and they won't have a problem with you doing it.

another thing, it takes forever to find stock. Plus every time I exchange with IUP, they return old phone, make me type in my SSN and resign up. Yeah it doesn't hit the credit but its a hassle.

Im def not "settling" or trying to justify my reasons, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. BUT if there was no display accommodations, my ass would be in the apple store right now for a replacement lol.

i have an appointment monday for the screen tint and hissing sound for my wifes rose gold iPhone 7 plus and it's making me worried when ever i get my jet black that i hope this won't happen.

I checked a couple of random store displays to see if this yellowish color would bother me, didn't really find a store model that had a yellowish tint to it. whites looked white to me ( 7 and 7+) so I'm fine with what I saw

To all those thinking of returning dont go through the genius bar. Do a retail return and then buy a new phone at retail. Once the genius swaps your phone with a genius phone youre locked in to the genius bar and cant return your phone, youll have to cycle through genius phones til you get a good one.

Had my phone for 2 days now; it's noticeably more yellow than my 6S screen, and at the bottom when you hold it at an angle.

I took it to a Genius Bar appointment today and he told me that apple has built true-tone into this phone.

I asked to compare it to other 7's / 7+'s on display. I compared it to about 6 other phones, we both concluded that my display was indeed yellower, but not by as great a margin as with my 6S.

However, my screen was visibly (to anyone) brighter than all the other displays.

In the end, I didn't exchange it, (they had no stock anyways), and kept it. They said I could exchange it anytime based on the visual difference in screens.

I actually like the colour temperature, but dislike the variation in colour based on angle of view.

I don't want one of the dimmer / whiter displays; I want one that looks like this, but from all angles.

As I'm typing this, I'm looking at the message window, and it's definitely white; but the keyboard is a gradual white to yellow, from top to bottom.

I think I'll put up with this for now, and just get a new phone when the display models start to look like I think they should.

Bright and consistent.

A dim screen is also a bummer. Sounds like you got a keeper !

I opened 4 of my 7 iPhone plus. 2 were completely noticeable yellow. The other 2 were as the above post described. White clean in start up when on and compared to my 6s plus, my 6sP seemed more blue white tint and 7 seemed off white. About to open. The other pluses to keep best one for me and also gonna be checking the regular 7s

i have a jet black, and it's all the same.

I just compared my 7+ to my 2015 retina MacBook pro and 2013 iMac factory calibration and it's pretty close. I'm very satisfied with the warmer 7+ and it's definitely not piss yellow!

Did you order 8 phones just to be able to cherry pick one from the group? If so then damn man thats commitment. If you have examples of the white and yellow screen and a past white screen like a 6s a photo comparison would be very helpful. Settings screen is usually best.

Not sure this has been asked
Isn't a slight yellowish screen is better for the eyes?
I used to be very picky about not getting white screen phone. This year I am less uptight about it because it seems my eyes are less fatigue looking at it.

Same here, I much prefer the warmer screen.

Mine doesn't feel "yellow" when im typing on it at all. And I usually prefer cooler screen. I took a picture of my 6s plus & 7 plus with my finances phone. It's a lot more drastic in photo in real life it seems less drastic. A little warmer for sure. But typing on it now the whites looks fine which makes this just confusing hahah.

Keep in MIND I'm using a 6s plus to take these pictures which doesn't do the best job accurately getting things right in low lighting. Never a dull moment....

I will say yours is a bit more pink so probably not as offensive. Id personally swap it but its preference.

Just restored my new 7 Plus......its yellow next to my 6s Plus. I might be lazy and just keep it. Not sure yet. Also to confirm, I have a week 36 Rose Gold 7 Plus 128GB.
