Isn't a slight yellowish screen is better for the eyes?
I used to be very picky about not getting white screen phone. This year I am less uptight about it because it seems my eyes are less fatigue looking at it.

Definitely. You can buy $100 optical coatings for glasses that give a yellow tint if you look at computers all day.

This is proven to reduce eye fatigue.

My glasses have Hoya Blue Control prescription lenses on them. And instead of using a yellow tint to make colours warmer, it has a coating to neutralize the blue light.
It's a good thing cause my 6s Plus is icy blue almost without my glasses.

...

How about you just keep your phones for a week or two and see if the issue resolves, rather than marching in to Apple to demand a replacement. ...

Are you an Apple investor? That's the only way that advice would make sense when the return period is 14 days.

What I realized is my current 6sP is literally about a cool blue florescent white shade. None of 7 plus or 7 opened have this. Slight screen color difference but none were piss yellow

Exactly what my 7+ looks like. It's not piss yellow but it's definitely warmer but even compared to 6s plus. I say keep your 7 if it's not piss yellow but expect that it's meant to be warmer than the 6s plus. You will waste your time trying to find a screen as blue as the 6s.

For those trying to get a 7 like the demos, show me a pic of of a 7 that has the same color tone as the demo display. This will prove me wrong in believing that demo displays are not intentionally set to be vivid compared to production 7s that consumers receive.

Pretty sure his screen doesn't have night shift on.

The funny part is, when I turned it on, it makes the screen only slight more yellow, and can't really tell the different unless you really pay attention to the changes.

You might have a defective unit night shift is to make screen yellow so your eyes don't get strained and your mind can release the chemical name melatonin which helps sleep. When I turn on night shift it looks like there is a dust storm going on within iPhone.

Mine is yellow. Not sure if it's worth trying to get a non yellow one. One on the left is my daughters 6.
Did you turn night shift off? If yes and if you keep the yellow you might get better night sleep. Can you post pics with night shift on?

Yeah my iPhone 7 is slightly warmer than the iPhone 6 on full brightness but it doesn't bother me one bit to be honest.
Mine too minimally and it seems they did it on purpose.

These are completely okay no need to worry all of them has it they might have done it on purpose because of eye strain.

So this is my iPhone 7 plus screen, not sure if I'm being paranoid or not.

What do you guys think? This normal?

It's warmer at the bottom. No IPS screen is going to be perfectly uniform. The fact that apple uses so much white in iOS means that us OCD types tend to notice this. You can play the trade in game if you want, but you won't find a perfect phone. Probably the best test is to ask someone who is OCD what they think.

Some of those look really bad. Is it just the picture? Are any near uniform in color and brightness? Neither of the two I bought are.

In my case sorta. Yes my iPhone 7 plus is warmer on a white page compared to my 6s plus which is closer to a blueish white, or cool hue. But it's less drastic in person compared to how the camera is capturing it. I'm pretty OCD, if I thought my screen was yellow I wouldn't defend it at all. Typing on t now on a white screen it looks fine, I also didn't think it looked yellow the first few hours I used it coming from my 6s plus. Just my observation.

Next to my 6s plus yes it's warmer. But at the same time my 7plus has far better color accuracy.

Ah thanks. I think I'll have a good look at the applestore ones again, just to check how bad it is.

I must admit at most times this is very hard to spot, even with the white.

So far the best test I've come up with is opening a pure white picture and fill the screen and compare the corners of the phone with each other.

256GB iPhone 7 Plus.
No "yellow gate" here. A warmer tone than ice blue. Actually if I get a blank screen and out my iPhone 6s Plus and this one next to each other, this one seems sharper.
The screen and the colours are beautiful.

So what is your manufacturing week and factory?
[doublepost=1474548081][/doublepost]Well, replacing the phone through Apple is going to take 2 weeks, so I wont have a phone for the next 2 weeks, I think I rather have the yellow screen than not be reachable right now.

changing anything in Accessibility does nothing to fix this. And it's not just an issue of a yellow/warm tint to a screen.... Photos aren't right. My 6+ is more Natural. Leaves on trees are more true. My 7+ is pushing a more yellow, brighter, unnatural tone. I will play more with Accessibility coloring for the foliage.

But right now with photos/video - greys are more taupe, etc.

Although off-topic, any hissing, buzzing and/or crackling noises?

on day 1, i compared my iPhone 7 to my iPhone 6S screen and it was extremely yellow.

last night (2 full days after), in my pitch black room, i checked once again and the screen is not as yellow anymore. it's slowly getting better it seems.

Everybody seems to be asking this today.
I got the phone yesterday and I'm at work today. So I haven't got the box with me.
If I remember I'll look later tonight when I get home.
