Are all these phones really this uneven and more yellow toward the bottom left or is it just the angle of the photos?

i think this is sadly one of the better ones, gonna try another 7plus?

ive attached a photo of my 7 at 100% brightness, auto brightness off

doesn't look as bad as it does in this white browser screen, more subtle in general

as far as 7 goes, its a keeper

just wondering if i should try my hand in 7+ and see if i like it more? now that 10.1 bokeh enabled beta is out, its tempting to try

The idea of going through the exchange game makes me want to throw up... but I might try one more device.

Gotcha

I've also attached my settings menu at 100% to show it is more subtle in this than the all white. i still see it, but i had a horrible 7 128 so sticking with my 7 32.

With bokeh 7+, if I were to try my hand, would be increasingly tempted to try 128

That yellow toward the bottom still bugs the living hell out of me, especially since my 6s Plus doesn't have any of that. Not even a hint...

*sigh*

I hear ya do you still have yours? I sold my 6s plus almost two weeks ago. Made owner aware of dust in top left. He didn't care at all

Still have not seen one of those real nice displays in the wild. Color me not convinced many have a good one until I see them for myself. :)

Just looking at it is ok if you are fine with it but comparisons need to be done.

So is it the F2s suffering more with the yellow screens? Mine is definitely not yellow and appears to be one of the good ones comparing to the pics posted here thus far. Here is my info just in case it will help others:

General information
Factory: C39 - China

Year: 2016

Week: 37 (12.09 - 18.09)

Age: Infant

Interesting. Mine is the exact same production and serial as yours and I'm having a bit of yellow at the bottom. It's not as noticeable as my previous 2 iP7Plus models though. I showed the Apple store employee the 2nd iP7Plus and the 3rd one right out of the box, and she immediately noted how the 2nd one was more yellow at the bottom and a lot dimmer.

My screen is pretty even. Are you only seeing the yellow in the bottom when you take a picture of the screen? It could be the angle or lightning etc. I notice the yellow bottom part when I took a picture of my screen using an iPhone 6 but when I look at it in person I don't see it.

No I can see it looking at the phone in the settings menu or a white screen. I try and take a picture of the new one I got last night. I entire screen is definitely warmer than the 6's which is nice, but the bottom just doesn't match the top half. Are these 7's supposed to dim and brighten even with auto-brightness off? My 2nd one did that multiple times.
I'm also curious why the display models at the  store have cool color temp displays.

It shouldn't. That sounds more a software defect.

My 7 is warmer (yellow) compared to my 6. Took it into Genius Bar at Apple Store and they compared it with other floor models. They came to the conclusion it is not the same display as the floor models. They offered to exchange it but they could only exchange it for a refurbished one with no box. No thanks, just returned it for another brand new one only to have the same warmer (yellow) screen. I will keep my 6 until next year. How can there be such an inconsistency with floor model unit displays and the one's they are selling to the consumer.

At least so far, those are the most often one to seem defective.

Hi,

You were able to test the last one before paying for it ? I doubt it but in case... I will return mine tomorrow and was wondering if I get my hands on another one, if I could ask to boot it before paying (again).

Wait a few weeks, the good screens will return.

So is your screen warmer or yellow? They're not the same.

I had to purchase it before opening. Don't believe Apple will let you open a box without paying for it.

Genius Bar said they were "refurbished" but they did say because it is so early from the launch they are likely new phones. They brought an IPhone 7 "refurbished" from the back and I can confirm they don't come in a new box (no headphones, stickers, or charging connections). I elected to just return the phone since I was in my 14 day return window.

I wonder if I decide to exchange it at a Verizon store instead will I get a new one in a retail box...
i think so t-mobile offered to order me a new one too but i would have to wait till jan as of what he said. more like nov though..

Haven't Apple simply dulled down the screen? This is then therefore easing the blinding white that people complain about? I see this as a bonus lol

This is classic bait and switch. There should be an investigation into this.

Just picked up my 126gig gold plus today. Cancelled my order that was supposed to arrive in two to three weeks. Screen looks uniform with no yellow to be seen. Impressive phone. Here's a screen shot with the iPhone on left and Samsung note 5 while doing the file transfer between phones....

Sorry for blurryness as I attached a small file. Didn't want to hijack thread space. There really isn't any shadow on bottom right of Sammy....must just be photo angle.

Yup you're right it probably is. I haven't noticed any auto dimming on the newest one, with auto-brightness off of course. The bottom of the screen still looks duller and not as white as the top though.

When lcds use warm tones they tend to look yellow. This isn't oled tech guys
