I never have auto brightness onWas this with auto brightness on or off? My iPhone 12 Pro with auto brightness on does not get as bright as my iPhone 11. However, if I turn auto brightness off, it gets much brighter than the 11.

I’m curious. So did you end up switching iPhone 12 pro and end up with a good one? What’s your status?I can answer that the "good" panels will 100% also be brighter, with better contrast, and viewing angles. That's because the yellow tint is a symptom of an inferior panel, not the only factor. This has been the case every year. The 2 12's I had were on 75% brightness and were dimmer than my XR at 35% brightness. It's not right.
The comparison within the pictures is shown pretty good but comparing the two pictures is a little harder as the wood is different colors in the background. We're publishing an article about this so here are my previous photos in one image with labels. We didn't make any adjustments to the photos other than combining them into one image.
Well comparing the two photos would just show you how much effect True Tone has, but the main issue at hand is that regardless of True Tone the 12 Pro is more yellow than the 11 Pro, so the individual photos still serve their purpose illustrating that. The comparison within the pictures is shown pretty good but comparing the two pictures is a little harder as the wood is different colors in the background.
We're publishing an article about this issue tomorrow. I shared these photos earlier in this thread but our graphic designer has placed both in one image for easier review. He didn't make any adjustments other than stitching the photos together.

I had the same thing happen and they were saying they hadn't heard of anything...I have an Apple support ticket open for this, chatting with a senior technician about it tomorrow.
Yeah they said that too. I sent a photo of the difference and they connected me to a senior technician and he wants to setup a call with some support/engineersI had the same thing happen and they were saying they hadn't heard of anything...
Just make sure you take into account that some 12 screens exactly match or exceed quality of past year screens thats the thing I never see in articles - acknowledging that there is a group of bad screens and a group of good screens, and its a crapshoot from which batch your phone comes from. I keep seeing articles that look at a single screen and assume all are like that one - not true. Some are good Some are bad and that’s the real issue - and the real outrage. That apple would allow inferior screens to coexist with good screens and hope the consumer doesn’t notice, for the sake of profit. We're publishing an article about this issue tomorrow. Exactly the same comparison im getting with my X and 12 Pro these images are spot on, and that's the reason mine is going back. We're publishing an article about this so here are my previous photos in one image with labels. Before ending the call, please ask them if it would be possible for the software engineers to add a white balance slider in the display settings through an iOS update.Yeah they said that too. Ask them if they want to compile other people's case numbers that have this issue too. I'll gladly send you mine.I have an Apple support ticket open for this, chatting with a senior technician about it tomorrow.
Go to the color filter settings accessibility>display&text size> color filters. Turn it on and adjust the hue until you find the color display you like. done.Just got an apple store appointment to have them look at it. What process should I go through to swap things out quickly?
I have AppleCare+ as well.
