Just a reminder, without another screen to compare to the camera will just auto-correct your white balance to look correct. This is how my 12 Pro Max looks by the way.

Yes, that’s what mine have. First one had a green tint, the replacement has a green tint. Apple support said today that they’re aware of green tint issues and that it’s software. But I’m not sure if it’s software when not everyone’s 12s are having a green tint.., or maybe not everyone noticed (yet)? I only know that that green tint is unacceptable for me. I still hope it’s software though, I love the mini..!Yeah, there are definitely a few separate issues here. The displays are calibrated slightly warmer this year, no doubt. That's intentional, and some people won't mind, and others will. I personally don't mind the warmer colors. But there are probably a few people who legitimately got screens that are too warm, because there are always some outliers. The bigger issue for me is the green tint, which can make photos of people look sickly. Some phones have it and some don't, but it's possible to have a properly calibrated 6500K color temperature and still have a green tint. Erica Griffen's iPhone 12s that she tested are a perfect example... she measured the color temperature to be right at 6500K, but the color balance charts showed a clear tilt towards green.
I just feel like there has got to be a way for Apple to know which production week/manufacture/factory/batch these screens are coming from and correct them. If Google could correct the Pixel screen issues via software I have confidence Apple can as well.Yes, that’s what mine have. First one had a green tint, the replacement has a green tint. Mine is bought from the online Apple store in the Netherlands. I also received two ‘bad’ coloured screens.Wonder if it's isolated to a batch delivered to a specific carrier. Can I just ask who everyone's carrier is? I'm with Sprint/TMobile and on my 2nd piss yellow 12 Mini
Yes, I believe the warmer colours are intentional after seeing so many people with 3-4 replacements and even across different models report the same warmer screens.Yeah, there are definitely a few separate issues here. Yes, I noticed that about the recent Samsung screens as well when I was comparing phones at various stores yesterday. Purely speculation, but when I noticed that some 12 screens tint blue when viewed at an angle and others tint green, I started to suspect that the ones that tint green, which happens a small amount even when viewed head on, are Samsung displays, and the ones that tint blue off axis are either LG or BOE.Yes, I believe the warmer colours are intentional after seeing so many people with 3-4 replacements and even across different models report the same warmer screens.
Out of interest, I watched Erica‘s videos about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 and Note 20 Ultra and looked what her measurements on the displays of these units were. Now this is getting really interesting because the Fold 2 and Note 20U showed the SAME color balance distribution as the iPhone 12. Meaning the Samsung phones have the same tilt towards green with a drop off of blue and red as the iPhone. I think this further proves the argument that Samsung started to change its production methods for the displays and this is possibly a whole order of magnitude bigger than just the annual „yellow screen iPhone“ issues.
Now even Samsung screens across different phones show the same behaviour :/
I bought 4 iPhones all carrier-free from 4 different suppliers (Apple, MediaWorld, Unieuro) and they were all the same. 3 Pro Max Grafite 256GB and 1 Pro Max Gold 512GBWonder if it's isolated to a batch delivered to a specific carrier. All of them yellow-ish?I bought 4 iPhones all carrier-free from 4 different suppliers (Apple, MediaWorld, Unieuro) and they were all the same. 3 Pro Max Grafite 256GB and 1 Pro Max Gold 512GB
Yup. All of them. There's a tiny little difference between 2 of them, but it's really too small to notice. All of them yellow-ish?
Here's hoping that it is as you say. 👍..he "launch day" one is a tiiiiny little bit less yellow. But it might have changed over time from using.
..and my X might just have gotten cooler over time.
Nope, as we're saying they're all pretty much the same (or so it seems).next question. HAS ANYONE HAD SUCCESS BY RESOLVING THE PISS YELLOW SCREEN TINT WITH AN EXCHANGE?
