Oh right, you are just making stuff up.

Do you see anyone complaining about yellow screens on 11s now? No? Because they even out over time. People were complaining when the X came out too.

All of the 11 phones with yellow tint are still yellow. 100%. OLEDs don't "Cool over time". Insane statement, with, as I said, no proof.

Don't see anyone complaining about yellow 11s. In fact many are using their 11s as a point of reference as to 12s being yellow. But hey, keep sending phones back for no reason and encouraging others to do so.

Use Calman with the ColorChecker workflow, with the OLED spectral correction, then target D65/sRGB. I also do 20% saturation sweeps.
Have you done any RGB balance charts with Calman? Is the green showing up highest there?

Theres been several yellow 11s posted in this thread. And Xs etc. And your position is absolutely absurd - that you dont see posts on a year old phone that that proves that OLEDs cool over time? Has to be the most illogical leap of logic of all time. You can't even read this thread, and we are supposed to 1) trust that you've searched to see if people are still complaining about 11s, and 2) believe your absurd logic that people not complaining automatically means OELDs as a technology cool in temp over time? Seriously bro???

Mine is an 11 Pro Max and it's terrible without color filters. Many people settled like I did with my second one. Sure the 12 looks bad but no way was the 11(OLED) series without yellow screens. Seems like people like myself who settled let Apple get away with it again this year.

I was thinking about ordering another 12pro to have in time for Christmas but it seems the yellow issue won't be resolved by then. :(

Ok, so here is a picture of my 12 Pro Max next to my X. Max brightness and True Tone off. It doesn’t look that bad in pictures.

When I first turned the unit on and was doing the transfer I noticed the yellow tint immediately. When I don't compare the panels side by side. My eyes seem to see the white correctly.

I unfortunately went through this ******** on my X 3 years ago. The first one on launch day was very yellow/warm. I returned it and had to wait about a month for a new one because they were sold out. The 2nd one I got was much better.

Everyone that got the 12 Pro Max on launch day has til January 8th 2021 to return it. Luckily we have plenty of time to decide if we should return or not.

Anyone on 14.1 try this? Apparently released within the hour. If 14.2.1 isn’t released tomorrow I may downgrade and try it.

I’m on 14.3 b2 right now on both Pro and Max... Will wait to see if this minor update addresses these issues before flashing back.. Thanks for posting this!

I don’t have any issues with my screen and I’m on 14.1. Only update that is showing for me is 14.2.
Yeah and that’s the update that should be showing for you. Apple released a new 14.2 update an hour ago solely for iPhone 12’s. It’s still entitled 14.2, but with a different build number than the 14.2 that was released a week ago. If you don’t have any issues than that’s terrific for you. Enjoy.

For those of you wondering the new 14.2 does not change anything. If you are on the older build of 14.2 you can update via iTunes/Finder by connecting your iPhone to your computer. I went through the trouble and it does not fix the yellow tint issue.

My 12 pro max display is fine no yellow tint but I do have the raised blacks and gray glow issues at certain levels of brightness on a black background in total darkness it’s like something is keeping the pixels from turning off completely at certain points of brightness seems like a software issue I would think if it was hardware itself then it would not display any blacks at certain levels and continue to stay almost a glowing grey but what do I know well one thing my note 20 ultra sitting on the nightstand has the best display I have ever seen on a phone and if I could stick ios on that display yeah heaven

Nor will any software update, except one that enables full calibration control.

I feel like I can't emphasize this enough:

THERE WILL BE NO SOFTWARE FIX FOR THIS.

People have been saying apple will fix this via software since 2009. That's 11 years for the mathematically challenged.

If you have a yellow screen,, you have 1 option

RETURN FOR FULL REFUND

I was not suggesting it would fix it. I simply was doing a test and reporting the results.
