[doublepost=1474065224][/doublepost]according to this thread people just had to return the last years models and get new ones. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7240633?tstart=0Copied this from another forum:
"The yellow "tint" people are talking about is the phone following 6500K white point which is the standard which most devices try to follow but never calibrated well enough to achieve. Even when you tweak the colour filter setting the displays native white point is closer to 6500K. It's a more accurate display. I guess people are so use to having blue tint on their uncalibrated TV's and other devices. Give it a chance once you get use to the 6500K standard for white you'll find blue tint annoying."
It's kinda hard to see in photos, but the iP7 is on the left and the iP6s is on the right (both Plus). It seems to get darker as it goes down the screen (and night-mode is off entirely). I read that sometimes it can take a few days to settle? Or should I take it back?
I'd just hate to have to go to the trouble of exchanging with stock the way it is at the moment lol.
[doublepost=1474069040][/doublepost]That's right. iPhone 7 is less bright compared to 6s with all settings being same. Any suggestions? For what it's worth, my iPhone 7 is also a lot warmer when compared side-by-side with my 6S. I had to double check to make sure Night Shift wasn't turned on. I'm going to wait until Monday and if by then the display is still yellowish, I will go to the store to compare with the other iPhone 7 units on display. I totally feel your pain, though.
It's strange that apple didn't fix it before shipping[doublepost=1474069040][/doublepost]

I have my 7+ and notice the warmer color. I really prefer it.
I also hope the 7+ can go even dimmer than the 6+. I view my phone in bed sometimes with the lights off, and even on the lowest brightness, the 6+ was friggen bright.
It is not Night shift unless its bugged out. Night shift has been off and when i turn on night shift it dims even more. Not trying to be dumb, but could it be night shift?
Despite what you want, Apple didn't deliver on their promise of increased brightness. It was a 'feature' they repeatedly mentioned in their keynoteI have my 7+ and notice the warmer color. I really prefer it.

Yes! On the lowest brightness, the 7+ is finally dark!
iPhone 6+ on the left (lowest brightness, with night shift enabled)
iPhone 7+ on the right (lowest brightness, with night shift enabled)

Clearly most of you have never calibrated TVs or other LCD screens and understand what is a calibrated screen. That vivid Blue that you prefer on the iPhone or TVs is not calibrated or accurate. I'm assuming the wide color gamut makes the colors more accurate which will so make the 7 screens appear warmer. Go ask a Photographer.
This may be true, but it doesn't explain the lack of brightness. Especially when '25% brighter' was promised, and it's not even at the same level let alone 25% more.
