I have the V2 in Black (actually, it's very dark brown, which matches the pebble grain leather of my Toffee MacBook slip case and my DayTimer folder - so much that I've ordered a matching Yoobao iPhone case!).

I did notice that the inside surface is not leather (the ebay listing from the seller I bought mine from, ebesthoo168, didn't state otherwise). I will also note other people's comments on ebesthoo168 - the product was shipped within 10 days and is just fine.

The reason I brought this up is because the Australian accessories company Padacs (www.padacs.com) sell what appears to be an identical one, even calling it the executive, but both their website and the rep on the Mactalk forum (nanohits) stated that the inside is non-slip leather, but also admitted that the Padacs executive is made in the same factory.

Does anyone know anything about the composition of the non-slip surface on the lining? I did see that the underside of the bezel/flap piece is in fact leather.

Looking at V2 again, I think I would personally prefer that style, combined with the V3 system of holding the iPad in place.

I like that V3 doesn't cover up the bezel, but I'm not really crazy about the method it uses for propping the iPad up in the 3 landscape positions.

Same with me. Too bad...

What's the general deal with this case, then?

I love the functionality of the Apple case, but HATE the material and the way it picks up dust. I clean the Apple case regularly and it doesn't seem to make much difference..

This looks like one of the first cases to provide Apples functionality with a nice material.. and one that doesn't attract every last bit of dust in any given room. That said, this should be awesome.. right?

Worth buying?

Way to read..

OK. 20+ pages of people's impressions so far in this thread and you haven't read enough to help you make up your mind? If there's some aspect that you haven't seen discussed that would help you make up your mind, perhaps you might ask a more specific question?

It was a pretty straight forward question about the pro's and cons of the Apple case, and how the Yoobao case matches the functionality without the pitfalls of the dust issues.

Clearly though it was easier to post a sarcastic comment than it was to either offer some simple advice or just not post at all.

In case I wasn't clear, my simple advice was to read the 20+ pages of comments in this thread where you will find plenty of feedback that answers that very question, rather than ask people to rehash what is already posted.

SwitchEasy Nude Inside Yoobao 2V

Bought a Switcheasy Nude earlier and why waste it when I have my Yoobao. Fits tightly and even in landscape mode, the edges of Ipad still held level with the V2 Flap. Protect the 4 corners of Ipad very well. Slightly heavier though.

How does the Nude compare to the Belkin clear cover? They look very similar in terms of thickness. Wonder how it would work inside one of these cases (either V2 or V3). My concern with either version is the exposure of the edges of the iPad.

Any news about V3 version?

Too bad it has taken so long for this case. I could no longer wait for it and found a similar design without the landscape stand that's used by the V3, so I'm happy.

Show it us, please

Yeah, please share. I've decided Monday is the cutoff for my waiting on the V3. I'm going to order whatever the best option is then.

I think this is the second time you have posted the same thing and provided a link to that page. You are located in Calgary and that seller just so happens to be in Calgary also.

I'm trying do make a decision between the yoobao v2, the casecrown black canvas, and the incase convertible book jacket. I'm conceded about protection around the house so I am leaning towards the incase. Does the Yoobao offer very much protection? Has anyone used all three of these cases?

I had my iPad in my Yoobao case, stuck it in the front pocket of my luggage bag, the heavily loaded bag fell forward on a hard floor, and the iPad was fine, so I would say the Yoobao case does offer some protection.

Mine (brown/orange) doesn't have the white stitching. It's a matching color to the leather. It's holding up well so far. I've had it a while and it looks like it did when new.

I'd have bought a Yoobao v2 by now if it weren't for that damn white stitching.

This might sound ridiculous, but get a black marker pen and colour the stitches in. That's what I'll be doing when mine arrives. I've done it before on bags & even on a folio iPhone case I had once. Does the trick.

Although why they felt the need to use white stitching in the first place is beyond me.

I stumbled on the Feltu case last night, which appears to be the holy grail of being otherwise identical to the Yoobao V2 but with black stitching. I'm surprised we haven't read more about it here. I'm very tempted to order one.
