So can anyone confirm or deny if it's easy to put the flap flat around the case. With the Apple case, it's easy to do this...is it as easy with the Yoobaos?

Got my magic case...

But anyone got problem if the connector area? Cause mine the magic case clip is quite close to the connector so when I plug in my cable, even though I have no problem charging my iPad the cable is not able to fully plug in cause the magic clip is blocking it slightly.

Durability of the slim case?

I'm beginning to think I'm Miss Fickle iPad Case Buyer. I should be doing reviews or something. Anyway, up until this point I thought I found my perfect case - the Cyber Acoustic case. But now today I received the Yoobao slim. And I think I'm in love again. For me it is absolutely perfect. Love the clips with nothing covering the bezel and also really like the tab that holds the iPad very securely in typing mode. It is probably the most secure in typing mode of all the cases I've tried. And that's what I use 90% of the time.

My question to the group is - how long have you had your slim cases and how are they holding up? Any issues with the clips loosening or cracking? Any issues with the front cover or tab holding up?

I originally bought the Yoobao version 2 case and although I wasn't crazy about the bezel being covered the deal breaker was after 3 days both covers warped and puffed up in the middle.

I bought this slim case in brown and am thinking about also purchasing the black but wanted to know how you all were finding the durability.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

No problem here. The standard Apple cable plugs all the way in.

Yoobao slim leather bunching at front cover seam

I've noticed that the leather on both sides of the bendable seam on the front cover is bunching up. I'm sure this is due to the back folding when in the typing mode. Have any of you with this case noticed that? Does it continue to get worse or just some initial bunching?

Perhaps you could post pictures of what you're referring to on the Yoobao V2 and now the Slim. I have the V2 and don't have any issues with warping or bunching...

Tallyho

I sent the V2 back. But both the middle of the front cover and the back cover where the front cover fit into the flap puffed. It seems like the way it was designed caused pressure or pulling on both areas and the inner cardboard succumbed to the constant pressure by warping.

I'll take a photo of what I mean by bunching. Along the front seam cover where it folds the leather is tight. So I think it is bunching up a bit from pushing against each other when bent back in the typing mode. My Cyber Acoustics case doesn't have that issue due to it being sewn down that seam as well as they left a narrow indent. How do I put a photo in here? Copy and paste or through an attachment? I really like this slim case and do want to keep it providing the bunching doesn't get a lot worse.

Tan Yoobao Slim

Just got my tan color, Yoobao Slim case in the mail today. I like it a lot. Very solid, feels like quality materials. Color is more exciting than the common black colors, to me anyways.
(posted these pics in the new purchases, thought I'd post them here too for the sake of this thread)

Love your new Yoobao slim in brown

I got this case earlier this week as well and really love it. I've tried so many others and for me this is the best all around case. You're right about it being solid feeling. I especially love the tight and secure feel the strap gives it in the typing mode.

One thing I noticed on mine is that on the seam on the front cover where you bend it back for the typing mode has shown some bunching of the leather. I'm wondering it it's just a defect in my case or the design due to not having enough space in the bend causing the leather to push against each other and then bunches a bit. Let me know if after a few times of use you also see this. I'm going to write the supplier.

I just wanted to give an update. I contacted my supplier Kevin on eBay and he assured me that this was the first complaint of this nature that he had received. He said he uses the same case all the time with no problems. I contacted him earlier this morning by e-mail and he responded within minutes and is shipping a new replacement to me today. How's that for outstanding customer service? I've dealt with him on some other purchases and he is just super - same day shipping, quick refunds on returns and now immediate response to a defective case. Kudos to Kevin!

there is a seller located in NY/NJ is this the one? i think i might go to this since i am located in CT and it is cheaper a bit from him.. any feedback on this seller?

I do miss dplxy - the original US seller of all of the Yoobao cases who offered excellent speedy service. Unfortunately he has been out of the scene for a while. Since then there's pretty much just been that other guy that keeps getting banned on here for posting garbage under different accounts - pretending to be happy buyers, etc. Glad to see now that a quick look on Ebay shows that a handful of Ebay stores with great feedback are now giving more options. Might try picking up a Slim case now from one of the east coast sellers.

I can say that I came into this forum after all the wacky posts you mentioned above were in this forum. I was an iPad user in NH looking for a better case than my Apple. With that said, I purchased a few cases based on recommendations from this forum. And I have purchased from a few different vendors and I can seriously say that customer service is not equal - far from it. I've purchased two cases from the vendor in CA that you mention above and his service has been outstanding. Ships same day, return e-mails immediately, gave an immediate refund for the magic case (didn't like it) and has sent me a new case to replace the slim that had bunching leather. He refunded me my shipping already and I haven't even sent the defective case back yet.

Unfortunately I did also order another case in black from the NY/NJ vendor due to lower pricing and two days after payment, she hadn't even sent it. I sent two additional e-mails to get a response and only after the two days it was finally mailed. I hope the case is perfect and doesn't need any returning as I'm leery about the customer service if there is a problem.

From my perspective as a customer only - the CA guy may have had an issue with wacky posts on here but his customer service and response is second to none.

"...the seller himself posting as a satisfied customer." He's been booted several times for that. Credibility is lacking in a large majority of these "satisfied customer" posts when these "satisfied customers" just suddenly pop up with new accounts and only post glowing reviews of his Yoobao and Chinao cases (always emphasizing who it came from and what great service he offered), negatives about other cases and don't participate in any other discussions whatsoever, which is odd, don't you think? You would think that someone wouldn't merely participate in Mac forums just to post about cases, wouldn't you?

Yup. Give it up Kev/steakneggs, you're fooling no one.

I've had my Yoobao Slim for about a month now and it's still working great. I'm very happy with the purchase and recommend the case to anyone.

I did NOT buy from kev and will not ever purchase from him because of the stunts performed on this forum.

Where you take your business is, well, your business.

My only complaint about the case is I wish it had a better way to view it in portrait mode standing up as the screen angles downward a bit making it difficult to view.

Typing and landscape mode on it work well.

I guess if I had to nitpick with where the strap is positioned when you have the case closed it will not sit flat on its back, but that has to be the nature of the case to perform other functionalities.

I can not decide between the Slim version and the Magic version. How much 'slimmer' is the slim version compared to the Magic?
If it's not that much slimmer i might go with the Magic instead. I don't think i need all the extra viewing angles but it couldn't hurt to have them I guess.

Ordered the magic from eBay, was advertised as yoobao but the packaging says pdababy. Nice case quite handy to have multiple viewing angles.
My only gripe with the case is that it doesn't lock in the typing position so it sometimes falls flat

I bought the YooBao Denim on eBay (in the UK, so delivery was quick) and couldn't be happier. It's my first folio style case, and it fits perfectly, and looks rather nice!

I don't think the slim is any slimmer than the magic. Both are very similar with the solid backs and padded front covers. The slim is leather and the magic is PU or faux leather. I tried both and prefer the slim. For me I like the solid feel of the typing mode due to the strap that fits into the tab. The magic case was loose in the typing mode. I also had a major problem with the smell of the magic case. The faux leather had a strong chemical smell that lingered on hands after use until I washed them. I would come from work and could smell the case as soon as I walked in the house. Others on this forum had no issue with the smell. I don't tend to be squeamish with strong smells as I work for a company that produces rubber components. But the magic case I got was really smelly. I really love the slim case in every way. I have both the black and the brown. Both cases come highly recommended by members of this forum.
