Interesting. I dont dispute your experience, I can just honestly say mine is very different.

Ive gone Galaxy s1 (Samsung fascinate) -> iPhone4s-> Galaxy s4 -> iphone 5 -> htc one m8 -> iPhone 6 -> note 4 -> iPhone 6s Plus.

In every case, I got to android as I like the flexibility of the platform, yet always have app crashes/non responsiveness that drives me crazy and brings me back to iOS, which is much more stable though locked Down.
I used the M8 for 6-7 months prior to getting the 6 plus and rarely had any app crashes on it either. Very stable. I honestly love both platforms - I'm not trying to troll here, I really like the 6S plus so far. I'm just frustrated that every iPhone I've owned has been unstable.

I've experienced my iPhone randomly restarting and apps just randomly crashing back to home screen on my iPhone 6 128GB. Although since 9.0.2 it appears to be improved and I've read that 9.1 is looking pretty good in its current beta release.

While I understand it may be frustrating, I still believe iOS is the better platform. Android does look enticing but I've tried Android before and always end up back on iOS within 1-2 weeks.

Seems like a rare experience.

Even on beta IOS I've never experienced consistent app crashes let alone OS crashes.

Shoot even when my old iphones were jailbroken with all kinds of add ons and tweaks it still didn't crash as much as your brand new phone does.

Yes, but I'm not taking about my iPad. I'm talking about the iPhone's I've owned.
Look, you've had different iPhones, so it's not a hardware issue.

That leaves software, so my guess would be that you keep restoring your new phones from an old backup and there's some kind of conflict in that backup, causing the constant issues you're having.

It's also the only common denominator (apart from you!).

Set it up as a new phone and re download your apps, problem(s) solved.

Read my original post, you will see I set it up as a new phone...

Did you read my post? I used a Note 4 for close to a year. I had maybe 2-3 app crashes during that time. I've had the 6S since the 25th since I preordered and I've had multiple quick reboots or whatever you would call the phone flashing to a black screen with Apple logo and immediately returning to the home screen. Oh wait, nobody else will admit to ever seeing that on here. I'm using my phone wrong. But I've seen this on every iPhone I have owned. It feels like I'm back home again! lol
You clearly have a defective unit

If it makes you feel better, my OnePlus One has its "lock screen" force closing, rendering the phone unusable (no UI to interact with), forcing a reboot.

I used to get the springboard refresh on older iPads. It happens sometimes, although not as often on my iPhone 5. But in the end there's nothing "crashing" that renders the phone unusable like my OnePlus One.

So you're saying that all of the different generations of iPhones you've owned, assembled by different people (possibly in different factories), all with different versions of iOS, have all suffered the same symptoms?

Not possible, I'm not buying it.

There's something you're not telling us here.

Steve Jobs would be proud. Right, I'm making this up. Or I'm using my phone wrong. Yes. All iPhones I have owned have had random app crashes and times when it quick reboots with the apple on a black screen (like a normal bootup, only it recovers after a couple seconds). I could really care less if you buy it or not, it's the truth.

Your apps and phone crash all the dang time.

There had been a few apps in the past that did crash quite often. Some of them got better with updates. Others I simply stopped using them. So perhaps your experience was related to your collection of apps.

Out of all the iPhone's I owned in my household (orig, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6, 6S), only one 5S shows the random reboots not tied to specific apps. Apple replaced it immediately when I raised the issue to them at Apple Store.

Therefore I strongly believe that your experience was not typical to iPhone users in general.

Of course there is no reason for you to make this up. Did you try to restore iPhones as new, and then WITHOUT installing any app, just try using the phone in factory conditions for a few days and see if it still have crashing issues. This may help you isolate the problematic app(s).

How much less could you care?
Enough that I'm just sitting here laughing at people with blind loyalty toward a brand. Just because you haven't had a problem doesn't mean others haven't. The Apple sticker is coming off be back of my car, lol. Frankly I'm ashamed to have it there anymore.

I don't have any of the issues you describe, nor have I ever, and I've had an iPhone since the original in 2007. I've had small blips and issues here and there, but never anything long term or unfixable. I'm hardly a "fangirl" (whatever that means), I'm just someone who loves Apple products and has had a very positive experience with them. I recommend Apple products just as I recommend restaurants I've had good experiences at, or stores that provide great service.

Let's be rational. If there is a systemic issue with iOS or iPhone hardware, there would be hundreds of millions of posts out there in the internet reporting the issues like yours.

If I were you, I would focus on isolating the issue by figuring out what I do differently with my phone compared to others out there.

I open Apple Music, and listen to it. I open email, and read it. Explain how to do that differently and I'm all ears.

If you are all ears, please do the following and report back in a few days.

Read my original post. I set the phone up as new. I've used it since the 25, mostly on the phone, listening to music, and checking email.

In the past with other iphones, I've had the same problems, set replacements up as new, used them with no apps, etc. Good grief. I'm within my exchange period, I can say I used the 6S; maybe I should get the Note 5 like I had originally planned. I guess I'm using my iPhone wrong lol!

It sounds to me that you are not really interested in figuring out why you are having so much problems with you iPhones, while others aren't.

Instead, you are here merely to make a statement that you prefer Note 5 than 6S.

I don't think anyone is saying you don't have issues.. Just that it's not the norm and there are ways to isolate them if you're willing to put in the effort to do so.

FWIW, I've owned the 4S, 5, 6+, and 6S+. The 6+ is the only one I've had problems with. It crashed (both apps and OS) often - OS crashes were the most frustrating. I don't know if it was faulty hardware or the notorious bug riddled iOS 8 but I do acknowledge what you're saying as frustrating because I've lived it.

Please tell me where I said I prefer one over the other. I said I should have gotten that phone, not that I preferred it. In this thread I've had people pretty much say I'm lying and that they don't buy it, etc. I have said repeatedly that I have had iPhones replaced before. I set them up as new. If doing so would have fixed the problem, it would have before. I didn't start the thread because I wanted help. I don't think the issue will be solved, since it's been a common issue with all of my iPhones. I merely find it comical at this point, no more, no less.

But at least we have the superb service provided by OnePlus. :D
