I used to believe that iPhone's could do no wrong, until the 6 that is! Worst phone I've ever owned and regret purchasing. I mean, apps were constantly crashing, the device kept restarting, etc. One day it flat out died on me.

When you are comparing your screen to other iPhones to see if it's yellow.

Sorry if that was posted already.

What did Apple say about all the issues you had with the device?

You know you're on an iPhone when everything is locked down and third party accessories don't work as they do on other platforms. Like the Pebble Watch, on iPhone all you can do is answer or decline calls, receive texts and other notifications, and control music. On Android, you can do all of the above plus answer texts and emails. It's one reason why I won't go back to the iPhone unless I also invest in the Apple Watch...but at this point I enjoy my Pebble Smart Watch (4-5 day battery life, waterproof, durable as heck) too much to give it up.

iPhone is typically buttery smooth and reliable, though.

ETA: I have a Note 4 as well, initially I had tons of issues, then I did a factory reset and changed launchers. The thing runs flawlessly now, no more problems, and I enjoy it way more than my iPhone 6+. Been over a week and no problems yet.
I switch between both ecosystems 2-3 times a year. I've had crashing on both. More on android. I keep going back because it's open source. I love that. But iOS I'd more stable imo. Everyone has their opinion

Its death is the demonstration it was a defective unit ... iPhones usually don't die after one year

I feel opposite. I get app crashing daily on my air2. When apps on ios are force closed, you dont get any notification. Most users will probably think they did something, closed the app accidentally or so... When apps on android are force closed, you get the tiny window saying it.

There are several statistics about mobile apps crashing on each updates during past few years and almost all of them have the same result, ios apps crash more often. Nowadays, lucky, both os's have low app crashing, only couple of procents. But the main difference is that you rarely see evidence when the app crashed/firce closed on ios. And when apple apps, e.g. Appstore have crashed, there are NO signs of that in my crashlog. But surely it just crashed because it disappeared while i was browsing apps in appstore...

Aside from a couple of apps not running, i.e., myATT app crashes. I find the iPhone/iOS to be a very stable platform.

I could really care less if you buy it or not, it's the truth.

To say you could care less means you care. What you meant to say is couldn't care less

Baseless generalizations are a good indication of inexperience. You know you're on an android phone when... You've decided to get an iPhone.

I'm not a fanboy. I've never had crashing problems or reoccurring restarts, etc in all my iPhone years. Most of the time it's found to be user issues in relation to the OP's problems. Just my opinion.

I'm not going to refute that apps crash on iOS because it happens, having said that, these crashes mostly occurs during the yearly major iOS update when apps haven't made the transition or patched their apps.

Let's just say that I spent most of my lunch breaks at the Genius Bar. I was ecstatic when the phone finally gave out during a software update and they decided to give me a replacement . The second unit was ok, but apps were still constantly crashing left and right, which I now understand is because of limited ram. Recently got rid of it (last week actually) for a decent price and moved on to the 6S. Good riddance.

I feel really bad for my mom though, because she experiences the same issues on the 6+, tenfold.

Since I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS 9 it's been pretty bad. I have at least five app crashes per day, the screen goes black every other day, signal drops to no service. Clearly iOS 9 was not ready for prime time. It's making me want to upgrade to the 6S, but I refuse to buy a new phone because I'm bitter about all the hardware issues the iPhone 6 had like the screen popping out of place, FaceTime camera distortion. I've had my phone replaced twice over these issues.

Sure she does! LOL
LOL yourself. What's with the tunnel vision on this forum? Just because you don't have issues with your phone, doesn't mean people who are, are trolling or lying. I mean, look at the post right above this person and a few posts below him. Almost sounds like a cult, you all get offensive and say the exact same things. Hilarious.

We've personally owned just about every model iPhone since the 3GS, or I've had one for development purposes, I've also had several Android devices from Moto and Samsung - I've done development on both platforms, installed custom ROM, JB'ed, updated to x.0 versions of the OS, run betas, and I've _never_ had anything near the level of issues being described by some folks in this thread.

I find it astounding they'd have multiple devices/replacements, and continue with the same issues, *and* have friends/family experiencing an even worse issues.

My wife and I have used our 6S and 6S+ non-stop since Saturday a week ago, and I've had maybe one or two, unique, nonrecurring instances of a problem (and AFAIK, the wife hasn't had any).

We've shot photos, videos, shared via AirDrop, sent dozens of emails and messages, done some video editing, recorded notes, recorded and shared audio, played a few games, AirPlayed Cinemax to our Apple TV, used cell/wifi/BT, connected via USB, played music, I've managed AWS services and used DropBox and GDrive, listened to Podcasts, slept all night with a T-storm sound app - and just really _no_ issues.

Quite astounding until you run into an issue yourself. Never say never. Oh right, iPhone's are invincible. I forgot! :)

Guess these folks are seeing things?
