But what are you doing that requires a password, i.e., using the iPhone to access site - then use 1P there. On the computer - use 1P on the computer?

I use and love 1Password, I don't see having it on my watch as an advantage - see what I'm saying. I'm on a device that will leverage 1password directly and haven it on my wrist is superfluous.
You use 1p but don't use two factor authentication for major sites like Google?

That's the main purpose IMO.

And to store my Dropbox password when I setup access on new machines.

One password on the watch should allow me to unlock 1password on my computer. For instance, if I walk away from my computer and it locks, I should be able to use my watch to unlock it without having to type my password in every time. That would allow me to use a much more difficult password for 1pass, and not have to remember it.

Top 5:
Todoist - Todo/Checklist app (I wish Apple would add Notes to Watch, even just a read-only version)
Calcbot - For the tip calculator, I'm still too self conscience to ask Siri in public
OneFootball - I use Forza on iPhone, but this one is better on Watch
MLB At Bat - Like Calcbot, it's stealthier than talking to Siri when in public
Dark Sky - Mostly the notifications, not really a fan of the current Watch version, I still use the built in Weather Glance

Only 5 weeks in, but so far my favorites are:
  1. Fantastical 2 (Calendar and Reminders)
  2. Due (Reminders)
  3. Bring (Groceries)
  4. Microsoft OneNote (helpful when I save some notes at my desk and then need quick access to them away from my desk)
  5. Dark Sky for weather

I will say that I have switched from some of my favorite iPhone apps to competing apps that offer a watch app. Some of my favorite iPhone apps do not yet offer a watch app (or at least not a compelling watch app).

Why a dedicated reminder app like Due when Fantastical 2 also does reminders? Due has some more robust features for recurring reminders, custom snoozes, etc.

Been a while since I last did a top 5 apps.

1) Fantastical 2 (Favorite)
2) 2Do - Got it for free when it was the app of the week - love it for to do/reminders
3) Dark Sky - Mostly for alerts and rain updates
4) Fitness Builder - My Weight Lifting App
5) Wink for my lights
5b) Sleep Pulse - Just love the graphing of my sleep and heart rate

I don't get why Fantastical 2 is thought of so highly, especially when it costs £3.99 for the iPhone version and you then have to pay a further £7.99 for the iPad version.
I would rather (which in my case I have) use Microsofts Sunrise Calendar. It too has Apple Watch support and quite a lot of nifty features.

Forgot to say ~ and it's Free.

My top 5 Third Party apps for the watch, in no particular order:

1. Reminders Nano (Mirrors the Reminders app from the iPhone)
2. StoCard (loyalty cards on your watch)
3. Low Battery (shows iPhone battery status)
4. Microsoft Translator (translate dictation into another language)
5. Deliveries (package tracking)

Those 5 I use all the time. For travel, I will install various airline, hotel, and restaurant apps onto my watch on an as-needed basis. For example, I was travelling to Washington DC last week, and installed the JetBlue app, OpenTable, and Marriott, which are on my phone all the time. When I got home, I uninstalled them from the watch because I simply did not need them anymore.

What's the advantages of 1Password on the watch?

For me, I use it to keep secure notes on my watch. I have a couple of notes with the combination to a strongbox outside my house, keyless entry code for my car, and my Apple ID and answers to the challenge questions.

To be honest, I don't use the 1Password app on the watch that much.

I think Fantastical has a loyal following among Mac users, but I'm a Windows user who tried it based on reviews of the iOS app. Fantastical 2 and Sunrise are two of the most popular calendar apps out there, and calendar apps are very personal things. What one person loves about one app, another may hate. If you are picky enough about your calendar apps that the native iOS calendar doesn't cut it, then you are probably willing to pay a reasonable price for an app that works better for you... and you will probably pick your favorite whether it is free for not... up to a certain price of course.

There is a good comparison of these two apps here: http://www.guidingtech.com/44067/sunrise-vs-fantastical/

I really like Fantastical 2, but I'm not head-over-heels about it, and Sunrise does look appealing. I will definitely give it a try...especially because I have yet to shell out another $9.99 USD for the iPad version of Fantastical 2. I tried Sunrise once about a year ago and I passed on it for some reason. Perhaps at the time it would not allow me to connect to my Office 365 calendar at work, but I see that is now supported. It could have also been the lack of a weekly grid view. I like that I can see a 5 day grid view in Fantastical when I rotate the phone to landscape. I also really like the natural language input for scheduling events and reminders, and the fact that it syncs with iOS Reminders.

Updating my fav 5:

1- Fantastical (superb calendar app)

2- Newsify (updated today with Apple watch support). By far, the best RSS out there. The watch app has unread count & auto-mark read. You can also star a story. Love it.

3- Spark (email)

4- Workout

5- Activity

On Newsify: I often get a "Loading..." screen. Sometimes it works but most times it just say "Loading...". Do not know what is causing it. Any idea?

Last thing you want to do is not remember a master password and rely on proximity.

Can I share a complex password method with you that may be helpful?

Think
Of your favorite song lyric. Take the first ledger from each word. Add a year of relevance and punctuation. His way the first few times you have to type it you can sing it I your head. After about three days it's just there And complex. And easy to remember.

So thinking of the beatles saw her standing there.

How can I dance with another when I saw her standing there

May equal

Hcidwawishst1955?

And you can remember it every time. (Well if it was a song lyric you liked!

I hope that's helpful to people regarding saving a password.

I'd assumed it was iOS 9'. Maybe there were some other changes causing my issues.

For me wink home control and weather nerd both act that way. I've uninstalled rom phone and watch and it didn't remedy it. In my case it coincided with the latest iOS 9 beta. Not sure what they changed. Maybe they added a setting I need to find to allow them to work, since they both rely on location. But yah, blank screen

1. Dark Sky (living in the UK makes this almost mandatory!)
2. Omnifocus (mostly on the errands perspective from my phone so I can check off stuff when we go clothes shopping)
3. bring! For shopping lists, although I wish you could make the icons smaller, and checked off items automatically disappeared from the list as you go along
4. Fantastical 2, only because there's a still a sync bug with the native calendar and Exchange accounts so half my work meetings are not showing up.
5. Nationwide - quick glance at my balance

I've also got drafts on there but usually dictate quick notes into the native reminders, which defaults into Omnifocus on my phone.

2&3 are primarily to help me not drop my phone when trying to juggle carrier bags, groceries &I children :)

I'm about to download 1Password whilst it's on offer and migrate over from mSecure. I can see dropping things like the door passcode for work in there I only use semi regularly being useful.

Come OS2 I may drop workflow back on there. It just feels a bit clunky to me at the moment...

Wow ominous is a pretty expensive errands app! I generally find wunderlist for errands and shopping until my grocery app gets with the times :)

Also since you can't see native reminds on the watch listed, you can add by voice and use fantastical 2 to heck them off, if that helps anyone.

I need to check out bring, can you sync multiple users shopping?

Hints is good but I don't r ally use gts sitting around waiting for a bunch of surgeries.

Dark sky is good, weather nerd is prettier with the same info roughly. Radar cast does the same sort of prediction stuff with s different source and has the best radar view. It's a bit over,up sensitive on rain, at least in the desert. You may want to check it out. I would use it more were I still home in the uk

LOL I use Omnifocus for all my tasks and to dos except grocery shopping, extensively for work, etc. I just use an errands custom perspective on the watch, as I mostly subscribe to the Asian efficient method of using it (i.e. Very few due dates) so the glance isn't that helpful. I think it's project-based custom perspectives display the project each task is under which is useless, context based ones are OK (I may have that the wrong way round).
Given the husband is on android, and OF is single user anyway, we used to use our groceries but switched to Bring (there's a thread somewhere I started some time ago) as it was one of the things I wanted to put the watch to good use to (and stop my phone visiting the floor of waitrose so often). It's web based, you can send notifications to say you've updated the list, you've been shopping, or you're about to go (to give them time to add stuff).

Yeah, no android app (I know you can use the website)... I'll keep an eye on it though. trust me if I swap again, I'll get nothing but grumping for weeks!

Yeah... My wife isn't picky about list apps. She just wants me to pick one and stick to it. Left to her own devices she would just type the grocery list in the note app and share it via iMessage

I like Bring and the syncing between my wife's iPhone, my iPhone and my Apple Watch has been flawless and quick. I did make the suggestion to the developer that it would be nice to be able to set an option for items to drop to the bottom of the list (rather than just change color) when you check them off. It might also be nice to have the option of a simple list rather than one item icon on the watch display at a time (although it sure is easy to read and looks good).

There are a few weird little quirks... like we could not add both 2% Milk and Almond Milk at the same time. You add one and it just removes the other. My workaround was to create a custom items called "Almond-Milk" and now I can add them both at the same time. I also suggested to the developer that it was strange you can't add two types of milk. They replied and said it was by design, but they will reconsider since it sounds like we aren't the only family that buys more than one kind of milk (our daughter had a cows-milk allergy that has faded, but she still prefers almond milk).

Anyway... no complaints from my wife. She seems to like Bring, so we will probably be sticking to it :D

I need to send an email to the dev as well, as you're not the only one - jacket potatoes and normal potatoes give me the same problem!
Husband often writes his todo's in the Notes app on his iPad - you can lead a horse to water....

I guess I must have missed something. This is an apple watch thread, no?
