“Apple claims the Apple Watch Ultra is its most rugged, durable, and extreme Apple Watch..”

Wait until they come out with the Apple Watch Extreme with the M chip.

So hitting the phone when it’s sitting on a table transmits the force also into the table, stabilizing the phone. It’s the same thing when people do videos of glass screen protectors and showing impacts.

An example of this is imagine stacking two bricks and try to break the top brick. It’s simply more mass taking on more energy.

So I’d love to see a device take on a more practical setup like the device itself falling onto something or simulate an arm wearing a device and smash it.

I found the video entertaining, and this kind of publicity is the motivation Apple needs to improve their product durabilities even further. Some of us would like some peace of mind on how our own purchases hold up without putting our own property under that kind of stress or doing anything that would endanger us like the host is going through

I am even more impressed with the Ultra, but I think my wallet will need a break after my 14 pro max acquisition

Utter wastage! Terrible for the environment too. This type of YouTubers should get the boot.

Not surprised, we have these kind of tables too here in Holland.
A famous Youtuber should make a video about these tables.

Watch says “It looks like I’ve been involved in a road rage accident. If you don’t respond within 30 seconds I’m calling for an ambulance!”
Hey, good point. I mean in all seriousness, did the hammer trigger crash detection or fall detection?
Maybe Apple need to introduce "smash detection", to alert these Youtubers that they just voided their warranty/AppleCare. :D
Would be good if it could detect "road rage" attacks. "We've detected that whilst driving your heart rate and blood pressure have elevated considerably. Please respond in 30 seconds to let us know if you were merely having a fight with the wife/girlfriend, otherwise we will alert the police to come to your aid". :p

even Musk broke a cyber truck's window with a hammer... Yes you can break suff with hammer - I had no idea you could use a hammer in that way.
Technically he hit the metal door with the hammer (successfully demonstrating that it didn't dent); but it was a large metal sphere that he lugged at the window. But I'm just nitpicking details. Point is, he too was surprised that large metal objects break glass. ;)

This is good to know next time I fall off a mountain that if I survive odds are the ultra would as well
The watch would need to survive if it is to call emergency services after the fall. So maybe the more useful test would be strapping the watch to a dummy and tossing it off a cliff.

Yep, never understood the point of destroying things just to prove how durable they might be. Apple already did these tests before bringing a product to the market but for some weird reason people still keep doing these videos and I guess there is an audience for that so they monetize from it. I honestly think is a waste of resources and someone would love to have that product. Sad.

Do these characters who destroy the products get enough views that it pays for them to do their unscientific tests?

Depends how many views their channel tends to receive, but users with hundreds of thousands of subscribers can earn 6 figures, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re sent these products for free.
