I just got my confirmation email stating that unlocking is ready. I'm about to plug my iPhone 4 to iTunes now, wish me luck guys.

I also installed the SAM backup utility to make sure the unlock settings are saved in case Apple attempts to reverse the process at a later time :)

great! .... what did you find out please share ... screen shots possibly (Showing baseband and carrier ) thanks

I can confirm I got my iPhone 4 unlocked via iTunes. I got the message that reads: Congratulations, your iPhone has been unlocked. I also took a screenshot, but saved it into word, I dont know how to export that picture and post it so you can all see it.

Yes I have the screen shot available, tell me if anyone knows how can I post the screen shot, since I saved the screenshot via a word file.

First I tried putting in a cut-out tmobile SIM, but it was throwing an error. The instructions on the SuperPaddy website is that I had to update, so I had to update from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 && just lost my jailbreak :( (it's ok I can always jailbreak again),...

Second, I had to put back my at&t micro-SIM into the iPhone, connected it to iTunes and performed the update to 4.3.1 As soon as the update was completed, the "Congratulations" prompt came out.

Right now I'm restoring my iPhone, after I will attempt to insert the tmobile micro-SIM. It is un-activated, but it should work I assume. If not, I plan to buy an activated SIM from this company called Simple Mobile and see how it works for me for $60/mo unlimitted everything, except no 3G for 850/1900MHz frequency since they are a subsidiary of tmobile only use the 1700MHz 3G frequency.

I will keep you guys posted.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I usually save screenshots in ms paint. Much easier that way.

Yes I will take a picture of my PC to share the "Congratulating" iTunes message and post it then.

No, not yet. I have to go to a nearby Tmobile store to get a clean Tmobile SIM and I will let you guys know, but so far it looks like it must be unlocked b/c I'm no longer getting that "SIM error" message every time I was putting in the inactivated Tmobile SIM I have. It just reads "searching" & after a while it reads "no service".

Before the "congratulation" iTunes message, it would go in sequence of "SIM error" and "no service". Now it just reads "searching" ..."searching".

So I get that they say it's forever unlocked. But in the fine print they say they aren't responsible for what happens if you update. Are you folks planning to NOT update your phones? Or just going to see what happens when you do?

very good question!

very good question!

Here's the section they recently added to their "policies"

With a new update being released today maybe we'll get the answer sooner rather than later. Don't get me wrong, if this works, GREAT. I travel a lot, and would love to use a local sim on my iphone4...I'm just wondering what happens when Apple decides they don't like this.

4.3.2 was just released,
lets see what happens with all the people that were able to get the unlocks before the release..
I am hoping that the claims are made true and the phones will remain unlocked.. :)

the problem is , these people selling unlock are not sure their self what will happen down the line in 6 months.. if apple will just close the loop or close the loop and find out devices which were added and delete them from the list... , how hard is it for apple to find out? ...how many AT&T devices are added to the unlock list, should not take more then few minutes for any programmer at Apple to figure out .. my guess is you will get this unlocked and it will work for ever , only if you wish not to upgrade your iOS ...

it might not be 4.3.2 or 4.4 or what ever .. but it will happen ... 4.3.2 is too early for this .. it was ready before this unlock came out , we need to wait for later upgrades ...

Right, exactly. Today's update may do nothing. But in six months, Apple may change something...

We just need a brave soul to sacrifice their $174 :)

So far everything tells me I'm unlock, later I'm headed to a nearby Sime Mobile dealer to purchase a SIM + $60/mo. Unlimited everything plan.

In the mean time let's enjoy.
