Apple's Back to School Promo Starting Next Week

The past few years the promotion has started on this Tuesday, taking this into consideration and the fact that Microsoft is currently offering a back to school promotion, I cannot believe Apple did not choose to start their promotion today.

I might just go out and buy my iMac now, and ask them if I purchase now and the promotion starts in the next 14 days, can I come back with my receipt and purchase the iPod and get the reimbursement check in the mail.

Truly sick of waiting.

It would be foolish and thats the only reason I'm waiting to.
One thought tho, I'm almost positive Best buy will match the BTS then won't they give you the sale price match for 2 weeks or so after you already bought one? Assuming it will for sure be within the next two weeks.

Almost every rumor that's been posted on these forums since I've been following them (about six months) has come true. I can't imagine this one won't. If it doesn't, there will be many unhappy Mac users...especially in light of the Microsoft offer. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple one-ups Microsoft and offers iPad 1 discounts...if they have any left in stock.

exactly,ugh,i'm tired of waiting too,and i think is not gonna be today,it's noon on the east coast,unless they're using the west coast time,so....sighs,UGH!! :eek:

Apple has not announced if it is doing the Back To School special this year. Historically it has started around late May and run to early September. Any information posted about it will be available on our PR page, would you like me to get you that link?

I'm gonna be so disappointed if it doesn't start tomorrow.
I tried to look up for the PDF form on US and Canadian site based on the Japanese URL, but no success...
 
Is that for real that they find out the same time as the public? I highly doubt thats the way its done. They must be told to say that. wouldnt they need time to prepare?

It's true, Apple Store staffs don't get notified in advance for new products or promotions.

Yeah... Otherwise it would make no sense to initiate a huge promotion during WWDC.
(Or Apple wants to launch Lion before/with the promo? Still very unlikely...)
 
What sizes are you all getting? I'm hoping to get the base 13" MBP. I'd love to go bigger but can't really justify a $600 increase in price. It's only for school and general use. Right idea?
 
i'm getting the 17'' yeeeahhhh! come on apple!! don't make me believe pc fans....lol

If you're not a gamer, then its definitely good to go.
The 13' i7 upgrade is useless, if you want better performance, add a SSD.

I am a gamer but on PC and PS3. I will still use my desktop for gaming, until i get and iMac....:rolleyes:
