Apple's Back to School Promo Starting Next Week

I'm thinking 12PM PST, I don't think there's anyway it's not today. It's historically Tuesday.
I guess we're just playing the waiting game now, but I haven't lost hope.
 
my plan is to buy a MBA with BTS.

Because many scources are expecting new MBAs in Juni or July i have to wait anyway :D

The best line would be newest MBA + BTS + Lion. Most profit for me... and for apple :D
 
Ahhh whatever apple! Ima go to work,I don't think is gonna happen today,who knows,I guess like good virtual junkies we will have to keep waiting,it is what it is:(
 
So i am interested in the MBP 13 inch 2.7 GHZ and i called apple today and they took down all my information and told me that they would send me an email if the BTS promo came up. She told me that she didn't have any news on the promotion but was really acting like the promotion will arrive in 2 weeks from yesterday by the way she was talking, it was as if she was hinting something.

Now, i don't really know if the apple employees know or if they don't know about upcoming promotions, but this lady gave me the impression that she knew, but i am not so sure.

I am really looking forward to the BTS promotion, i am actually in the market for a laptop for my freshman year in college. I really want a MBP 13-inch: 2.7 GHz with $100 off with the student discount and if we get free iPods, i would sell the iPod and buy an iPad with the money by adding in a couple hundred dollars.

Hopefully it will work out for me in the end, and hopefully it works out for everyone else here who is looking forward to the Back to school promotion. Have a great week everybody!

can't wait to buy a 21 inch imac, and i'd really like to buy it while the back to school event is active

however, could i buy an imac today and in the future (within a few weeks, as the sale usually starts) get the ipod?

Is that too early to coincide with the release of Lion?

My perdiction for Bts is june 6th, but then again im a terrible predictor.
 
cannot understand why all are behaving like kids. The best thing is to wait until the last day of BTS. Then you will profit from the newest Hardware and Lion.

I know its Apple, but why not deciding rational?

My 2006 Macbook Pro just lost the last fan, so my Mac doesn't have ventilation (but the computer still works).

After 5 years of loyal service, my Macbook Pro needs replacement. That's why I can't wait until September to buy. :p

If I buy a 13" MBP at the Apple Store do they make me pay up front for the iPod or do I get it for free instantly? Also, is the free printer only available online or in-store as well?

You usually have to pay for it upfront and then get a rebate. When I did this 3 years ago, I had my rebates within a week or two.
 
while it's true it would be a better deal to wait for free lion during the bts sale, I'm too impatient to wait for lion!
hopefully the bts starts soon because I'm hopefully going to get the iMac today (within 14 days I should be able to get the iPod yes?)
 
I'd have a hard time believing they'd wait two weeks to put Lion on the MBs and such. If anything, they could just make us all pay for it or roll it out in an update (though I could be wrong) because then they'd be screwing over all of the people who already bought 2011 MBs.
These rumors usually hold true, from a history with MacRumors and Apple Insider. If it's going to be this week, it doesn't look like today, so I'm guessing tomorrow then, May 25th. The promo was May 25th last year too. If it's not tomorrow, I doubt it'd be Thursday or Friday, and then I would guess at sometime next week.

I'm just impatient like the rest of you lol, plus my iPod Touch broke a few weeks ago and I've just been getting by with it. The free iPod is too good to pass up, or else I'd order my MBP on the spot.

EDIT: I just checked Japan's education store and their deal ended, so maybe Apple ended it today over there and will start in the US and other countries tomorrow? Here's to hoping.
 
I ordered my MBP today, I was tired of waiting. If the promotion comes up in the next 14 days then I get the itouch free from what the rep said.

Got mine today too but will not be waiting for the BTS. Microcenter had the 13" base MBP for $999.99, pick-up only.

I got the Apple Store in DE to price match MC, so I got the printer + MBP for $1000. If they activate BTS in the next two weeks, i'm going in for it. But I'll have to go in PA, so we'll see how tax/rebate/exchange works...
