Been using my 1st gen MBP for hours daily since 06 and its struggling with logic

Man, i cant wait to see what the next gen macbooks will bring! I am so ready to sell mine in a heartbeat if they updated some of the things I wanted (screen latch, some spec. upgraded etc)
Gotta keep up with the latest and greatest (I usually dont, im not that impulsive lol, but like I said, there are a couple things that I think they can make better on the next MBPs, and I have my fingers crossed they will!)

Yeah I was about to order a new iMac to replace my G4 when somenone pointed out that the Penryn is out.
Now I'm waiting too...

me personally i dont think their be any cosmetic upgrades because of the MBA just processor and maybe touchpad
I'll be looking to replace my Powerbook G4 1.67 with high-res screen probably around October '08, when my current laptop turns 3. Absolutely looking forward to having an intel-based laptop. G4's showing it's age. Bootcamp will make gaming suh-weet.
By Oct 08, WWDC will have rolled through and hopefully a multi-touch MBP will be available! My pricepoint is the 15" 2.5K model. (At least from the current lineup. Video memory and CPU bump are worth it to me.) If the MBP doesn't have multi-touch by then, I will probably try to hold off on buying until after Macworld 09.

The only cosmetic upgrade I am hoping for is the latches, to change so they are like the MB's. That way there will not be that annoying uneven lift on one side (my left side screen lifts 2 mm high)
Other than that I am happy with the appearance of the mbp
I'd be very surprised if the latch wasn't changed, and jnc, I'm very much in favour of some kind of MacRumors discount card

Oh well... I just need to desperately retire the PowerMac G4 867Mhz Dual 1GB RAM that is my workstation right now... (I should emphasize *desperately*!!!!)
