Or waiting for someone to fall asleep..Touch ID is still fooled by by some glue and a lifted print.
The massive hate for Face ID is just loving this whole story. They all forget how easy it is to break Touch ID.Or waiting for someone to fall asleep..
Regardless if true or not, in practical real world usuage, Face ID is not more secure than Touch ID. Facts.
You forgot identical siblings.Should be this:
I'm just not buying these stories as they are presented. I don't believe that guy made a mask, then unlocked his iPhone that was registered with his face. Just as simple as that (even though it wasn't really that simple since it took him a week to make the mask!) I believe there is more to it.And, what's the whole story?
people go nuts over apple products even when they don,t work properly
this is insane, i'm so happy I left the apple boat after 30 yrs of non-stop mac use
i look like my dog and yes we both can unlock the iphone xRegardless if true or not, in practical real world usuage, Face ID is not more secure than Touch ID. Facts.

As for the kid...that one is a little more believable...but, I still think there is more to it than that.
People have done much crazier things than that for their 15 minutes.![]()
So basically mommy is just plain stupid.

Only one face can be registered, and two people unlocked the device, on camera. No tricks. What else is there to understand about that. The mum and son are totally credible. The FaceID technology is flawed.I'm just not buying these stories as they are presented. I don't believe that guy made a mask, then unlocked his iPhone that was registered with his face. Only one face can be registered, two people unlocked the device. That shouldn't be possible. Their faces are completely different, she's got an oval head, he has a round head. The appear credible and you proclaim the demo is not fake? How do you know?
People like attention. Look how determined she is to prove it doesn't work and look at the moron son dab at the end.
Again, they don't show the setup process so it's immediately not credible based on having zero context for the video.
In the "story," it actually says, "It worked again on his sixth try" meaning they entered a passcode by definition on that attempt bc it only allows 5 tries without passcode.
Uhm... the facts we have suggest Face ID is much more secure than Touch ID.
Sorry the facts get in the way of your biased opinion.
makes absolute sense. Typing in my 16 digit alphanumeric symbolized password while trying to checkout with apple pay at a register. Make as much as sense as paying $1k+ for a phone.
To be fair, I don't know the technology completely myself.Good points. I was picking up on the point that the initial training was done in poor light, and retraining in good light stopped the kid from unlocking. I’m not an engineer that’s familiar with such a complex system, I don’t know if there’s anything else going on besides the IR camera.
TouchID should remain for a few more years, until FaceID gets its act together.
Friend, no bias, at least here that is.They appear credible because of your pre-existing bias against Face ID. And yes do a google search. There certainly were Touch ID spoofs. Heck they were posted here. Like this one:
