When you double tap for the end of a sentence and get a period, the next sentence starts with a capitalized letter, BUT the shift button is not lite up. I don't know if this is a bug or just something Apple put in, but thought I'd point it out. Sorry if it was already mentioned.
I noticed this in a lot of places on 3.0. I actually pay attention to the keyboard most of the time and when I see I'm at the beginning of a sentence and the shift isn't illuminated, I'll press it and it won't light up. So I'm now un-capitalized and have to hit the button again.
A bug, I'm sure. Hope Apple catches it. (of course they will)
hope this has not already been said but I've noticed that within contacts you can use copy and paste!!!!!
just view a contact and select edit, you can now cut copy and paste numbers and email address and paste them into sms etc.... very cool and a welcome addition

If you copy something can you paste it multipal times across multipal apps? IE past it in email, in sms etc? I don't have to go back and forth and redo the copy each time I want to copy.

Yes you can Rhett...have used it for email, text and notes...the same copy will paste multiple times until you replace the clipboard with a new copy.
New Update
Hey all...Beta 3 installed and some new features pretaining to the iPod and Copy/Paste have been posted on Page 1, Entry 1. Also A2DP bugs have been fixed and removed from the front page.
I am still looking and invite others to update/disclose their findings as well. Beta 3 seems as stable or better then 2.2.1.
MMS and a few other known features are still not running on their own so will still not list any MMS or tethering finds. Tethering does not show on my iPhone and I am still not going to add files to bring it active, that is Apple's job not mine.
Will keep looking testing and also retest the bad apps to see if they are functional now.

Any chance you can check to see if there is anyway to modify the springboard picture in beta 3.0?

I didn't see it listed and it's not a big deal... but can anyone confirm that the call forward icon in the status bar is new in 3.0. I enable call forwarding all the time and just noticed it. It's a good quick way to know if I'm forwarding calls. I didn't see it listed in the iPhone Tips : Basics : Status Icons either
I think I found a new feature... not sure if this existed pre-3.0, but when you create a link on your Springboard to a website or webapp, and click on that link from the SpringBoard, then it will take you to Safari, but the bottom and top bar will be completely removed, making it feel more like an actual app.
It only works with web-apps that have the correct tag in the heading to be able to do this. It doesn't work with all websites but it's been this way since 2.1. Apple's very own iPhone help pages are like this too.

Please note "While the playback indicator is up". Try that on your iPod touch with 2.x. You can't swipe to go back while the playback timeline is showing.
