I had the regular Pro and decided to get the Pro Max (and return the regular Pro). I have small hands so the Max is quite an adjustment for me, although I love the screen size and all the benefits that come with that, but don’t like the weight.

Honestly, the regular Pro is great, but feels too a tad too small, and the Max feels a tad too large. Something in between those two sizes would be perfect for me, but you can’t have everything in life!

My Pro Max arrived today and I absolutely love it. I am a woman with small hands and it doesn't seem that large to me at all. I got the silver and it is gorgeous. The edge sparkles like jewelry. Just a stunning piece! I am thrilled with it!

Finally another person with small hands! I have very small hands too and been using the largest size phone since the 6S+. Love the 12 pro max. I don’t really feel it’s that much bigger or heavier than the 11pm like some people mentioned.

I love the 11 pm max and I dont mind the 12 pro max size without a case but the clear case was to slippery and big and I got a leather case and I really dont like the way they look this year. I am contemplating for the first time going to the smaller size but I think I might adjust in a few days.

Man is the 12 PM slippery with this frosted glass back. I prefer the flat edges but I cannot use this thing caseless.
How do you hold it? I hold by the edges with just forefinger on back to angle. The square edges give me more secure grip. Mind you I am not a one handed user. I hold with my left hand and interact on screen with right

I don’t need to hold it in my hands to know it’s far too big to interest me lol. I’ve got an iPad and an iPhone that isn’t a pain to put in my pocket :p

Enjoy though, it’s a nice looking phone and has its niche

I’m continuing to love my new 12 pro max. The only thing I find it not as good as the 11 pro is that the cameras will not focus so close in macro. Try yourself taking a photo of say text in a book. You can get in closer with the 11 pro. This may be a consequence of the larger lense on the 12 Pro Max?

This size is just what I need.

I definitely need to get used to the weight of the Max and the big heavy camera module basically dragging the weight in that corner. It’s just waiting to be dropped eventually. My fingers also need to get used to it, they are craaaaacking from holding it in place

This is why I have returned mine and ordered a Pro. It’s just a little too bulky and heavy and will be an accident waiting to happen. No doubt that during the honeymoon period, some people, but not all will soldier on trying to cope with it but I can a lot of returns over the next couple of months

Same. It took me until the 11 Pro Max until I finally decided to try a big phone. My eureka moment was when I realised that because of my small hands I was using my 11 Pro two handed most of the time anyway so I figured if I'm using my phone 2 handed anyway then what reduction in usability will I see with the Max size. Answer for me - none whatsoever. I can also still single-hand to do basic stuff like swipe-up to open and turning pages when I'm reading an ebook which is enough for me.

I also find I have zero problem carrying it in a front trouser pocket. If I leave the house and have a brief "did I remember my phone" moment I still have to reach down into my pocket to feel whether it is in there rather than instantly knowing "yes, there's a huge weight in my pocket so my monster phone is obviously there.

On the weight, people comparing the 12 Pro Max weight with the 11 Pro Max and complaining are frankly crazy. I just do not get it. I do get the concern for people coming from smaller phones but if you already have an 11 Pro Max then it really is a non-issue. The 12 Pro Max is 2g heavier than the 11 Pro Max. That's about 40% of the weight of a single sheet of 80gsm printer paper so if any 11 Pro Max user is worried about the weight of a 12 Pro Max then tear a piece of paper in half, sellotape it to the back of your 11 Pro Max, and see if you can still lift the phone to your ear or even manage to get it out of your pocket with all of that added weight (which will actually be an over-estimate due to using half not 40% of the sheet and the added weight of the sellotape).

This is me!

I’ve got both the 12 Pro and Pro Max now side by side and have been using them together for past 24 hours and feel that the screen on the Pro doesn’t seem much bigger than my old iPhone 7 but also think that the Pro Max isn’t as comfortable to hold as the Pro.

After reading this thread, I'm leaning towards keeping my 11PM for another year and waiting for next year to upgrade. Still undecided about whether I go "regular size" or not. I'm interested to see if they add telephoto to the regular line next year.

It definitely feels big and I’m coming from an 11 Pro Max. I have the clear case on it which is going back. I think this adds to the bulk and it’s too slippery. Back to Apple silicone.

I bought my 13 max knowing it was big, heavy, and square. I’m fine with it because I want the screen and battery life. It also fits into my lifestyle of using my Apple Watch to keep me from needing to check my phone all the time plus using my MacBook for bigger task I use my phone to consume content and play games. That’s why battery and screen size for me. That being said. It’s a big heavy square phone and you feel it. I get pinky fatigue when holding it and have to change it around. You feel it in your pocket. Square is not a optimal shape for holding something. There is nothing produced that is meant to be ergonomically correct that is squared. Balls, handles, steering wheels, tools, sports equipment. Apple chose fashion over function on this device and it shows. I do love my phone and the flat screen. If I used an iPad, I would be better off with the mini.

Thats a really good honest appraisal., I already have an iPad and thats why I returned my Pro Max as my watch and phone will be for calls and messaging

I bought the 12 pro max and received it yesterday afternoon. I’ve come from the iPhone X. I can’t get used to the size- it’s soo big and heavy compared to the X. I’ve had less than 24 hours use so I’m hoping I’ll get used to it. Anybody else in the same boat? Do you think I will get used to the size?

Hmm, not sure I agree with some of the comments. To me, Apple heard the community about the love for the iPhone 4/5 shape, in addition to the love for the iPad Pro shape, and did ‘most of us’ a favour and created an updated iPhone to boot.

Only been using the device for around 8 hours or so, and still like it.
I believe even more so since the device is in an Apple Leather case, it feels even better.
I ordered, and have received an URBN ARMY GEAR case. But, I have not even installed or tried it, yet...

This is totally me. Will push through and see if I get used to it because I like the phone. The weight is the only thing throwing me off.
