You kids don’t know **** about heavy phones

You’re the type of guy to tell people that heavier running shoes are more efficient.
“Don’t try to pigeon hole me in your camp. I love my heavy bulky shoes. In fact, I like to run in my snow boots.”
I was about to post the same thing, thanks for saving me the trouble!Odd you say this when your previous post talks about not accepting other peoples opinions. Sounds very hypocritical.
I guess it’s based on my assumption that people want a thinner and lighter device, regardless of screen size. Rational assumptions shouldn’t be considered a contradiction. Asking for a larger camera bump, and a heavier phone, isn’t advantageous in any way. However, there seems to be some odd people in this thread who state things like “I enjoy the camera bump”, and “I like the notch”. There is no credible reason as to why those things would be true….but ok. Those types of comments are much different than someone saying they like one screen size, or color, over another.Odd you say this when your previous post talks about not accepting other peoples opinions. Don’t get me wrong. I would start to question a camera bump that is too much larger than it is now. But as it is, it looks good, better than the flush cameras on the iPhones 4 and 5.I guess it’s based on my assumption that people want a thinner and lighter device, regardless of screen size. Oh and your assumption is wrong. A phone that is too light and too thin would feel fragile to me. I’m also not asking for it to continue to gain weight. The aluminum is WAY too soft and easily damaged. I had way too many dings/dents in my iPhone 11 from very small impacts.hi.. i upgrade every year and had an iPhone 12 for the past year.. i found it really good but poor on battery life.
this year i bought a 13 pro sierra blue on day one.. and yesterday i returned it and went with a blue 13..
here are my impressions:
1- aluminum design of 13 is to me more premium and i prefer it (no other apple product use the iphone pro language with the steel, only the watch)
2- 13 pro is too heavy, it is uncomfortable, tell me what you want.. the 13 is unbalanced, while the pro max is heavy but balanced.. but steel is not the best solution for a phone i think (so next year titanium?) 13 is perfect with 170 grams
3- 120hz is a gimmick.. i also find the 13 more responsive to swipes and touch... it is only me? like the 120hz slow down a little little bit animations
4- the battery of the 13 is better than the pro and is more linear in use, the 13 pro had some big battery loss.. maybe again depending on 120 hz use?
5- photos are the same, it is hard to tell a difference... obviously 13 lacks telephoto
Agreed on both accounts! My case on my 11 even rubbed away at some of the aluminum around the edges. Glad I stepped up into Apples Pro line this year. The aluminum is WAY too soft and easily damaged. I had way too many dings/dents in my iPhone 11 from very small impacts.
Regarding 120hz...I switched my pro to 60hz temporarily just for kicks, and now that I'm used to 120, 60hz looks like a choppy mess. 😆

Absolutely not! 😳 that’s what I thought, after trying it, I’m never turning it off ever again. 🥰3- 120hz is a gimmick.. i
It has nothing to do with generations. I returned my 13pm after 6 hours of use. I have never done that before: poor battery life & overheated deemed screen made this decision very easy. I posted my observations on Sep 26th & many folks jumped on me & screamed that I was idiot. Now I see more & more people realize that 13pm has serious quality issues. Apple made tons of shortcuts to keep the price low. Iphone 11pm was the last pre Covid era phone with superior quality. 95% battery health after 2 years of use + daily google maps, international video chats, music stream, gym, rain, ocean salt water… & more. Quality pics of 11pm in many cases much better than 13pm. I was lucky that my trade-in pack did not arrive on time. 11pm is the best iphone so far. If 14pm solve the quality issues I will buy it in a heartbeat. Your question is not dumb. You just did not realize how bad some new 13pm can be. I understand that not all 13pm are that bad. So returns are the only way to go.Dumb question here, I'm sure: This may be a generational thing for me but - am I the only one who doesn't understand the "return" phenomenon? What i mean is: I never return things I have bought. I would if it was faulty, or it didn't fit in my car (like a TV or something), or it turned out I couldn't afford it and had major regret. Do people nowadays buy things primarily to help decide what they will *keep*, and therefore very often end up returning thing? I have had iPhones since the 4. Never once returned a phone.
Wasn't it jarring (in a good way) when you turned on the phone the first time?Absolutely not! 😳 that’s what I thought, after trying it, I’m never turning it off ever again. 🥰
Honestly, it's whatever makes you happy man. That's all that matters. But, I'd like to chime in on some of your points.hi.. i upgrade every year and had an iPhone 12 for the past year.. i found it really good but poor on battery life.

What was/were your decision(s) for swapping out the 13 pro for the standard 13? Curious as I keep going back and forth on the 13 Pro and standard 13. Had the 13 Pro for less than 48 hours then returned it because Got the pinky/forearm discomfort and wasn't a fan of the camera bump. Not sure if I should have given it more time to adjust. Coming from a 12 Pro.Well, after much deliberation, I also swapped out my 13 pro for the bog standard 13. I am now very happy. I'm a light user and so far I've seen no difference in baddery life. Both devices lasts about 3 days in between charges. It's just as snappy, and to be fair, I don't miss the 120hz refresh rate - not that I could really tell the difference as I don't game on my phone.
At the end of the day - just get/buy what makes you happy and don't worry about what anyone else has. We're all differently pleased.
