what ****ed up person would build a 5200 rpm disk in such a piece of hardware... oh yes apple that is![]()
.. I am aware. But why would they put a slower i7 dual core in with the faster GPU and the faster quad core in the machine with the slower GPU?
i highly doubt they'd put the store offline for that long considering not everyone wants a new MBP and there r other stuff that wants to be purchased right now
It went back up at 1.30 GMT or so last year (when they refreshed the MBP's with arrandale) FWIW,
ie 32 mins from now.
Just did that - didn't look at the res the moment I was posting it![]()
nothing wrong with the original......
I thought they needed to wait for Intel's own announcement...
No I got it, I wasn't the jerk-off that made the post with all the elipses!!! GD I'm ready to buy my new Mac!! Argghhhhh.
So tired of all the whining about resolution. I prefer to use my computer without binoculars.

Apple is a much bigger player in my opinion. I could see something like this:
"As you may have seen earlier today, the earliest adopter of LightPeak (Thunderbolt) technology is Apple as they have updated their MBP lines with the technology earlier this morning."
yeah well maybe everyone doesnt have crappy eyesight like you?
1. 1440x900 res. screen by default - Seriously needs a bump.
2. 256MB dedicated graphics memory - Are you serious?
3. 5400RPM HDD - 7200RPM should've been there but it'd make more noise. So, okay.
Oops, sorry! My bad. This thread is moving way too fast to fully keep up.
I'm going to wait til Monday, partly because I want to hear the feedback on the new models (the last time I took an active interest in graphics cards they ran over AGP), and partly because I'm broke til then.
The current rumours sound great. Does anyone know whether Apple typically offers options on its GPU? And at what sort of price?
I'm pretty sure it was a typo on 9to5's part as it's pretty much been confirmed that all 15s will have Quads.
256MB is on the entry level MBP. There will be more on the higher models.
Do you think we will see Facetime 1.0 being released today as well?
Hrrm.
I thought they needed to wait for Intel's own announcement...
Its already released dude.Next week or when iPad 2 is available I think.
Anyone have any idea if I'll be able to pick up a new mbp this morning when my local bestbuy opens at 10am est.?
