I'm holding out for the 15.3" MacBook-Air-Pro-Max-M3-Plus-Hermes-Edition.

Why shouldn’t there be a consumer model in a larger size? Why should a 15” screen be available only to professional users?
The so-called “clutter” exists from apple offering older models at lower prices. Again, why shouldn’t apple keep perfectly good laptops available at lower prices for those who want them? It’s smart to expand their market.
Yes… M1, M2, no innovation here. Move along!This!
It’s becoming so much like the 90s without Jobs. Clutter everywhere and no innovation anymore.
PLEASE have USB-C ports on BOTH sides.
Agreed. The Air moniker is totally mucked up at this point from its original usage. Why is it still called a MacBook Air? There’s a ‘Pro’ model and without the standard MacBook model it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense these days.
I'm not looking for a value option. I'm looking for the thinnest/lightest MacBook with a large screen. I currently have the 16" MBP M1 and it has so many bells and whistles I don't need, plus it's a chunky beast...waaay too thick. I just want a thinner large-screen MacBook. The 15.5" MBA will be perfect for me.I really suspect they're going to end up doing the same-side config as the existing 13" Air just so they can differentiate it from the 14" Pro.
The M2 13" Air starts from $1.2k.
The M1 14" Pro starts from $2k.
Let's assuming this 15" Air starts from $1.6k. For $400 more the Pro is the better buy. I see this 15" Air as the same as the iPad 10. Considering the options below and above it, this 15" is not the value-for-money option.
It’s a $200 jump if you spec them out equivalently. Will it be $500 more dollars, just like the two MacBook Pro sizes? Probably 😒
The current MacBook Air was too small, the 16 inch Pro is too expensive. This will be Goldilocks.
Apple is developing a 15.5-inch MacBook Air that could launch in the spring of 2023, according to display analyst Ross Young. In a tweet shared with super followers, Young said that production on panels designed for the MacBook Air will start in the first quarter of 2023.

A 15.5-inch MacBook Air will be sized between the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, and it will be the largest MacBook Air to date. The current model measures in at 13.6 inches. While Young now says that the display will be 15.5 inches, he previously said it would be around 15.2 inches.
Apple's rumored 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to feature the same general design as the 13-inch MacBook Air that was released in 2022 with flat edges, a large Force Touch trackpad, a keyboard with function keys, and more. It will also likely include a MagSafe charging port, upgraded speaker system, and a 1080p camera.
As for chips, the larger-screened MacBook Air could be available with M2 and M2 Pro chip options, and in comparison to the MacBook Pro models, it is not expected to feature the same mini-LED display or ProMotion technology.

2021 macbook pro has been released for a year. After the discount, it will be as same as the new macbook air release price or even lower. Unless the new macbook air will be cheaper than 14 model. It doesnt make sense. The current MacBook Air was too small, the 16 inch Pro is too expensive. This will be Goldilocks.
Fantastic news. A consumer-oriented 15+ inch model. Finally. Will order the minute it is available.
Air like an airplaneThis does sound good. But it’s not tapered anymore, and 15” is getting pretty big. What makes it “Air” then?
It will most likely be 200-300 more than the 13Will it be $500 more dollars, just like the two MacBook Pro sizes? Probably 😒
