Yup. 15 Pro -> 17 Pro Max. Not blown away by the 17PM, it's just the upgrade for me is free so why not.
Same - mine is at 88%, and I can barely make it through the day.My launch day 15 Pro Max has been stuck at 86% battery health for a long while now and it drains faster than it use too. I have to charge it twice to make it through the day now. Upgrading to the 17 Pro Max in deep blue.
Totally fine. You have a great phone with the 15 Pro and you most likely will still get the AI features next year.15 Pro here - kind of tempted to upgrade but will probably stick it out another year. I love the titanium and think I might miss it if I upgrade. All covered under AC and have plenty of storage. Think I’ll just treat myself to a new case and be happy.
I’m trading in. Apple’s trade in value dropped $80 on Tuesday.Don't you guys think to get the best resale and minimal upgrade difference its better to sell now?
I am in the same boat as you.I’m so tempted to upgrade/downgrade to the iPhone Air, but I’m not sure I can deal with the single rear camera. I’m definitely ordering my wife an Air to replace her 14 Pro that can’t get through a day, even though she might then need the MagSafe battery pack. I use my 15 PM for taking work photos that includes a lot of macros, as well as some videos, so the 17 PM seems like it would make more sense for my situation, but I really love the idea of a lightweight compromised phone that looks and feels different than the slabs I’ve used the past10 years.
You know, now that you mention the signal, I get the same issue. On my commute, there’s a major section where I get 1 bar and it’s pretty annoying now.My launch day 15PM has 80% battery health and has to be charged twice a day. Also I think the modem sucks as I’m always stuck with 1-2 bars throughout the day, and I know it’s my phone as my SO has Verizon and he has 5 bars with zero issues at home.
Same boat here too. I don’t even mind the MagSafe pack. It’s nice to have it around when I know I’m going to be away from a charger. I already carry a battery pack with me so this wouldn’t be any different.I’m so tempted to upgrade/downgrade to the iPhone Air, but I’m not sure I can deal with the single rear camera. I have a 15 PM and I'm going to upgrade to the 17 Pro. From my view, a smaller phone with better cameras and a better battery is a welcome upgrade. The Pro Max models are just getting too big for me.I have a launch day 15PM on 92% BH and yeah totally get the heating thing quite regularly so I’m tempted. What struck me though is for me is every option is a compromise in some way:
iPhone 17: no telephoto
Air: No telephoto/ultrawide, worse battery
17 Pro: Downgrade in screen size
17 PM: Thicker, heavier
I know there are some pro’s to the above options to weigh against the cons, but it would be nice if I’m paying £800-1200 to not feel like some aspect is a downgrade or at least sideways. Is it too much to ask to have just an upgrade that is unquestionably better??
If anything I’m thinking 17 Pro may be the one as it’s the least compromised…but is that enough??
