My 2015 MacBook Pro is so ready to be replaced
Not my mid 2015. it is being used to make music and edit videos and still shows only 33 cycles on the battery lol
People have been saying that the case looks a little thicker and the case a little larger so they could have one suck fan and two blow fans with a bigger case.
I replaced my 2013 MBPr 15 last June for the near maxed out 2019 15 inch MBPr. I got tired for the rumors for the 16 inch and just settled for the 15 inch. Reason for replacing was that the temperature sensors weren’t working right anymore. Used a third party software to control the fans till I got annoyed and decided to upgrade. I am too committed to Apple that I can’t easily swap to a PC. 😒
Well the good thing it that is only 6 months old so the unit has a lot of value left in it. I bet you could sell it or trade it in for a 16in model and it would not cost you a lot for the new model.
My dark horse hope is a new keycap material that doesn't both wear through its matte coating and absorb every bit of oil your body naturally produces instantly.

At least two PC competitors are getting ready to launch their take on the MBP, Asus' ProArt 15 & 17 and Razer's Studio 15.
So I am hoping that 9to5Mac's article comes true, my iMac is limping along, and I am trying to avoid buying another one.

Macs are getting too expensive to my liking, prices went up since 2014/2015 by a lot, back then you could get a base 15" for $1799/1999, now the cheapest is $2399.
Get rid of that stupid expensive OLED Touch bar, a cheaper LCD Touch Bar would do just fine, or have a non Touch Bar version.
The bad thing is, there's no real alternative to macOS if you have been using it for 2 decades, it's still by far the best OS, Linux...naah too geeky, Windows...even worse.
I have a few Macs, some older ones like a powerbook G3, a Powerbook G4 and a PowerMac G5, my daily drivers are a 2012 Mac Mini and a Powerbook 13" of the same year, they both work fine except for the mediocre Graphic cards, for the rest they work fine.
Would like to get a new Mac, but these prices...Ugh.

I just want to be able to replace the damn battery. my $1500 iPhone let's me replace the battery but my $4500 computer doesn't? so annoying. My AppleCare runs out this month. My battery just ballooned in the nick of time for a free replacement that includes everything glued to the battery(keyboard, Touch Bar etc) Here is hoping I don't have to drop $800 next year because of apple's stupidity.
From leaks it's fractionally bigger than the 15", probably comparable to the 2012-2015 era 15" machines. I.e. still a very compact and portable full sized laptop.
They are trolling us by not saying anything. This makes us think it is some super secret project. If they wanted us to think it was not coming out, they would announce it.
I'm with you here, but still I'd like to ask why – the latest 8-core seems to be pretty nice, from what I read around here.
