This, so this. I wish other makers offered a working aspect ratio. The 3:2 from Microsoft Surface line up is great.wrong aspect ratio. 16:10 is better for work. 16:9 is better for netflix.

At this rate. I might buy this laptop before I upgrade my I Phone 8. But seriously, why couldn't the display be native 4K?
Not the H series (45W) ones used in the larger Pros, they've announced U series (15W) which potentially could have been used in the just-refreshed 13" - though they would have had to leave it without an update for yet another few months. How come they wouldn'tuse the Ice Lake chips? Aren't they out?
16" model would be all-new. Top-of-line addition. 15" model will presumably live on. So, I view it a bit differently. So the MacBook Pro was just updated last month. Is there much precedent for Apple releasing a new model of a product two to three months after the previous one?
0.6” even. Which to me and implies a higher base config than the 15.4” model. Very few will want to pay a $600 premium just for a slightly (barely) larger screen. There’s nothing in the article that says the 16” has the same processor as the $2,399 15.4” model. So the same processor as the current 15 inch MacBook Pro. But that extra inch raises the price to $3000.
All I can say is if this thing is going to start at $3000, it would be a shame if it was the same starting configuration as the current 15” model.0.6” even. based on image macOS scaling and this suppose resolution it will not be 16" but around 16.3"0.6” even. Which to me and implies a higher base config than the 15.4” model. I wonder if it'll be an event or if they will announce it by just updating the website.
There have also been some reports (not sure of reliability?) that the 15" will be getting the chop as soon as the 16" releases:16" model would be all-new. Top-of-line addition. 15" model will presumably live on. So, I view it a bit differently.
Usually if it's a significant redesign new features will be walked-through at an event.I wonder if it'll be an event or if they will announce it by just updating the website.
They have my attention. They could lose it if the price is insane.

because for better UI...227ppi is good enough for laptops...when you run a few task in 4k on todays iGgu...everything runs sub 60fps, around 46 fpsCompletely unnecessary.
Suddenly they have lost your attention. They have my attention. They could lose it if the price is insane.
It's really strange that they write "this would mean that Apple isn't yet ready to use Intel's latest 10th-generation Ice Lake processors" when it's Intel's H-series processors that aren't ready yet for Apple! Not the H series (45W) ones used in the larger Pros, they've announced U series (15W) which potentially could have been used in the just-refreshed 13" - though they would have had to leave it without an update for yet another few months.
What's insane to you? They have my attention. They could lose it if the price is insane.
I doubt the 15" goes away. Ming-Chi Kuo expects a new 15" with scissor keyboard in 2020. Alongside the 16".There have also been some reports (not sure of reliability?) that the 15" will be getting the chop as soon as the 16" releases:

I don't think Ice Lake is ready with an appropriate chip.Too bad for no 45w icelake since it supports LPDDR4 so better battery life and also almost 50% boost in iGPU...
