With all the "updated stability added" to safari in every single iPhone update you would think it would never crash but no matter what it still will, i mean how much stability can be added to a damn mobile application?

This was a pointless update, im glad for jailbreak cuz apple isnt doing a damn thing for the iPhone

Well I just updated and netshare is working perfectly for me. It did take a few more seconds to share the signal but its working fine. I didn't even think to check before updating. I guess I was so excited to see an update after all that time. lol:D

Yes. My netshare is working. I had to wait about 2 minutes before it established a connection.

WebKit alone is over 800,000 lines of code written by more than 100 people. Don't underestimate how complex a mobile app can be, or how many fixes one can need to be completely bug-free (which is never going to happen, for any software).

STUUUUUPID way of sending contact info

iPhone update, big deal: I've had it for a year and half now, and I still can't send MMS, nor receive any (always makes me feel stupid when I receive one and I have to explain to the sender I can't see it...), but also no Flash player (I mean c'm'on Steve, what's the big deal, won't you let that one go for the sake of your customer's good user experience?), nor the ability to send the contact info of someone to an existing contact without having to write it down on a piece of paper and rewrite it down in a text message or email (my old analog Nokia has had this feature since 2002...). Am I the only one to be frustrated with this?

I figured out a stupid way around this (believe me it is stupid). I take a snap shot of the contact info page using that cool feature of a quick push of the lock (top) button and the home button (big button) on the face of the iphone. That will take a picture of whatever is on your screen and place it in your photo album. I then e-mail that picture to the person of my choice....I told you it was stupid...

54Gbps WIFI problem not fixed

Sad, after update I checked the YouTube APP in my 54Gbps wifi network and it seems that they haven't fixed that yet. Going to downgrade the max rate in my router to 24Gbps again.:mad:

Good to see that they've stopped images pixelating when saved from email, it's a shame it's still happening when I save anything from safari.

Anyone have iLife '09 installed? I would suspect that this patch would allow the iPhone Photo app to support Places/Faces browsing? It seems more logical being released on the day iLife '09 was released.

Still the same. I downloaded iLife '09 before the update and it still looks the same. But it did take me 3 hours to tag everyone in my albums with the faces feature.

This 'snappier' "joke" got old a year ago.

It was funny for a couple of days, now it's just incredibly sad to keep using the same, tired, old joke every time there's an update.

That's actually a great idea.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a way someone could take all the data from this thread and sum it up, and it would show at the top of the thread?

For example:
Netshare
3 reporting: works; 1 reporting: broken
frostyplace Emoji hack
5 reporting: works
yellowsnow
3 reporting: broken
clicked update button
12 reporting: clicked
preparing to click button
1 reporting: preparing

Any news if it fixes that bug in the Maps application where phones set to "UK English" had all distances displayed in km, rather than miles?
